Chapter 29.2: Curtains Rise on the Welcoming Banquet

[This woman is really just too obnoxious. She hates the way that woman is looking at Snowy.]

Not understanding why, Xuanyuan Mo then followed Duanmu Xi's gaze and looked over to the other side.

When he saw Duanmu Qing looking at him like a rabid dog eyeing its bone, almost drooling at him, Xuanyuan Mo suddenly felt a bout of revulsion rise up inside.

Seeing that Xuanyuan Mo was looking her way, she quickly sent what she herself thought was a seductive and amorous gaze.

Gooseb.u.mps popped up all over Xuanyuan Mo's body and he almost wanted to vomit.

Suddenly, he felt pain in his hips and he turned his head back to see.

He saw Duanmu Xi glaring icily at the woman on the opposite side, but her pair of tiny hands were viciously pinching him hard on his hips.

[Is Little Xi being jealous?]

It finally dawned upon Xuanyuan Mo and he didn't know whether to laugh or to cry as he held the small pair of hands that were fair and smooth as jade.

This was his first time coming to hold her hands and she found her hands so small and pet.i.te, just a little bigger than his palms. He gently spread her fingers open to reveal the palm, and then carefully traced out three words on the palm of her hand.

[I love you…..]

With every stroke that formed the words, they slowly melted Duanmu Xi's heart at that moment.

Duanmu Xi was blushing slightly as she gripped Xuanyuan Mo's large hands tightly, her heart overflowing with sweetness.

After writing those three words, Xuanyuan Mo's face was slightly flushed a light pink as well.

Those three words were what he had wanted to tell her for a very long time, but had not had the chance at all. He was finally able to tell her now.

Duanmu Qing saw Xuanyuan Mo's slightly red face and thought that it was because of her alluring gaze, and started feeling highly pleased.

[Seems like that flawlessly handsome man likes her as well. Anyway, which man under the Heavens could possibly come to like useless trash like that. She must do everything she can to s.n.a.t.c.h him away from that useless piece of trash.]

With that thought in mind, Duanmu Qing then began to steal glances in earnest at Xuanyuan Mo to express her interest.

And those glances of a smitten maniac really succeeded in spoiling the loving atmosphere over on this side.

Duanmu Xi was so angry she wanted to kill someone, murderous rage rising up in her deep violet eyes.

[d.a.m.n that woman. How dare she look at her Snowy with such disgusting and detestable eyes. She is courting her own death here. If not for the fact that she does not want to reveal her powers so quickly, she would have that woman killed right in this instant.]

On the other hand, Situ Lan and Situ Jue were oblivious to the stirring undercurrents happening around them as Situ Lan brought his younger brother Situ Jue to come make a toast to Duanmu Xi.

"Cousin Little Xi, Congratulations on your safe return."

"Thank you."
