Two birds were taken (heavenly beings = Jesus and the Holy Spirit). One is sacrificed in an earthen vessel (cf. 2 Cor. 4:7) over living water, while the other is dipped in his blood and released! The leper is to shave (cut off the flesh) and wash (apply the Word).
