Chapter 177: Teachers?
"So big," Lin Xiao murmured, feeling a bit apprehensive. In this place, he was truly just one amongst many.
"I thought that the examination requires us to fight, so I wait until my final year," Sui Wenyan felt a bit regretful. "If only I know that we didn't need to fight, I wouldn't waste a year outside and just do missions in mercenary a.s.sociation or join the troupe."
Lin Xiao blinked his eyes and looked at Sui Wenyan. "Can you enter the city last year?"
"..Uh…"
It was then Sui Wenyan recalled that she couldn't enter any city yet when the time for examination happened last year. With so many people searching here and there for those who escaped from Taiyi Sect, there was no way that she would be able to enter the city and then used the teleportation circle.
That was simply nothing more than a dream.
Well, she could try to escape far away, but then she would waste so much time in the journey and maybe ended up dead. There were several areas that ordinary cultivators couldn't pa.s.s because it was simply too dangerous.
And if she couldn't enter the city to find out where it was, she would never be able to get out safely from her predicament of entering the prohibited areas.
"Let's not talk about that." Sui Wenyan's face was dark.
Lin Xiao nodded, agreeing with it. He looked around him and waited until everyone had walked inside. They were all stunned when they saw the majestic place. Even the princes looked a bit excited upon seeing what they saw in this place.
However, upon seeing the cultivators in this place, they would all feel like they were small and insignificant. In front of so many powerful cultivators, they really didn't worth that much because of their low power.
Closing his eyes for a moment, Lin Xiao swept his gaze to the side. He noticed some scribbles on the wall. Some of them could be read while some of them not.
'There are runes and Dragon language there. Because you have Dragon's blood inside your body, you can read dragon language without any difficulties,' Lin Hu explained within Lin Xiao's body.
Dragon language?
'Dragon language and the runes are different?'
'Yes.'
Lin Xiao was a bit more interested to it, but he didn't spend much time staring at the wall in case someone found him weird. While he still didn't look eye catching at all, there was someone in his group that did attract attention from time to time: Sui Wenyan.
It was needless to say that Sui Wenyan was a very beautiful cultivator. Since most cultivators were male, to find a beautiful female cultivator would be rare. Though, Lin Xiao himself had seen quite a few during his journey.
Probably only around a third of cultivators in this place were girls.
"Alright, everyone have already arrived here." The elder clapped his hand. He pointed to one direction. "Your residences are located in that place. You may rest for the day and for the first week, you're allowed to go out of the academy to look at the capital city. I'm sure many of you want to see it."
"Yes!"
The shout of a youth attracted the surrounding cultivators to turn their head then laughed. While they were also excited, they were not that excited like the youth who scream.
On the other hand, Lin Xiao felt his face turned red. d.a.m.n it, he just told himself that he wouldn't attract attention but here he was attracting attraction because of his excitement. He had heard a lot of things regarding the capital city and naturally felt curious about the place.
Especially so because the palace was in the capital city.
There was no way he wouldn't want to take a short visit there.
The elder shook his head amusedly. There were always some interesting youth in each batch. He looked towards the direction of the house. "There will be dean who will take you there. If you have any question, you may ask him. You may go now."
"Thank you, Elder."
The elder turned around when he recalled something. "Right, you can also pick a teacher for yourself. But whether the teacher is willing to teach you or not will depend on them too."
Teachers?
Everyone's eyes lit up when they heard that. Thea teachers here were all already at Golden Core Stage Rank 2 at the very lowest. To be able to get a teacher of that level would mean that they would be able to grow stronger faster. Naturally, everyone wanted to have powerful teachers.
However, before they could find a teacher, they needed to head to their residence first.
"Brother, do you really need to shout?" Lin Yun asked as they walked, his face soured because he knew that the cultivators were laughing at his brother.
Lin Xiao scratched the back of his head. "That's just an accident."
"An accident?"
"YES!"
Sui Wenyan sighed and chose not to comment anymore. They all followed the crowd until they reached the area filled with buildings. The dean then told them that they could pick a room inside the building. Whichever room they wanted to pick is up to them.
As they entered the building, it was painfully clear that the higher the level, the denser the Qi were. They all looked at the second and third floor with some gazes. After all, everyone wanted the best training area.
"Dean, how do we select the house?"
"You can pick whichever one you want but if there are others who want the house, you may fight for it."
Fight?
Instantly, everyone was looking at each other with menace. To think they would be able to fight in the academy after a while. It seemed that able to get the rooms at the highest floor must be the most powerful one.
Now, the tension grew tenser and everyone was watching each other, waiting for someone to make a move.
