Chapter 91: Running Into Mo Lian by Chance
After arranging with Luo Tao, Mo Yan pulled him out to go shopping.
Although she made it sound like she just wanted Luo Tao to fulfill his promise to protect her, she actually just wanted to experience the feeling of going shopping with her husband for once.
The two of them came to the mall that Mo Yan used to frequent. Things here were very expensive, so Mo Yan did not come to shop. She just wanted to go with Luo Tao to see the places she had visited before.
Suddenly, Luo Tao received a call from a friend. To give him some privacy, Mo Yan went to the beverage shop that she used to like very much and ordered milk tea and coffee while waiting for him.
“Mo Yan?”
!!Hearing someone calling her, Mo Yan turned around and looked.
“It’s really you! You’re spending the money that you stole from my family so happily! You can even come all the way here to spend money?” Mo Lian’s face was full of sarcasm, and the malice in her words was not concealed at all.
“Mo Yan? Mo Lian, is this the daughter of that mistress?” A girl who was dressed in branded clothes and had long curly hair, asked Mo Lian.
“Yes! It’s her.” Mo Lian’s tone when she spoke to the girl had an indiscernible fawning tone.
Hearing Mo Lian’s affirmation, the girl sized Mo Yan up with a disdainful gaze.
“Like mother, like daughter. Just by looking at her, she has the face of a vixen.”
Mo Yan frowned and replied to the girl with a cold face, “Lady, please watch your words. To speak ill of someone you don’t know, seems like you weren’t brought up right.”
After saying that, Mo Yan wanted to leave. She did not want to stand here and be insulted by others. Moreover, she knew the three people behind Mo Lian and the girl with long curly hair. They were the most famous gossips in the university community. Whatever came to the ears of these three people, it would spread throughout the entire grade the next day. Many people did not like them in university.
Mo Yan did not care how these three people came into contact with Mo Lian, but she knew that she had to leave this place as soon as possible. She had a bad premonition.
Sure enough, Mo Yan had just taken a small step when she was stopped by Mo Lian.
“Mo Yan, why are you running away? A mistress is a mistress. Avoiding it doesn’t make it less of a fact. Your mother seduced my father and almost tore my family apart. You also followed your mother’s example. I don’t know how you managed to hook up with the young master of the Qin family. Why are you so shameless? Insisting on bringing trouble to our family?”
Thinking of the money that the Mo family had lost because of Mo Yan, Mo Lian’s voice became increasingly shrill, and she appeared charismatic because of her hatred and anger. The bystanders couldn’t help but believe her.
Mo Lian knew that Mo Yan would not expose the fact that she had married Luo Tao in place of her, so she thought her slandering Mo Yan like this was enough.
Just as Mo Lian thought, Mo Yan was so angry that her entire body was trembling.
“Your mother is the mistress and you are the illegitimate child! My mother is Mo Dong’s first wife. Your mother only got married to Mo Dong after my mother divorced him! Mo Lian, you’re slandering my family. Aren’t you afraid of being struck by lightning if you lie?” Mo Yan yelled at Mo Lian.
Ever since Mo Dong refused to give Mo Lian the 500,000 yuan, she no longer considered him as her father. He was just an ugly man who had ruined her mother’s life.
Seeing Mo Yan’s anger, Mo Lian laughed even more wildly.
“I think you’re the one who should be afraid of getting struck by lightning. Everyone knows that my mother is my father’s only wife. If it wasn’t for the woman named Meng Xian deliberately seducing him, why would my father make such a mistake? Even though my father didn’t want to have anything to do with her, she still insisted on sticking to him. Your mother is a home wrecker who destroys other people’s families and seduces other people’s husbands.”
Every word from Mo Lian was stepping hard on Mo Yan’s toes. Mo Yan was so angry that her head swelled up and her eyes couldn’t help but turn red.
People gradually gathered around and were listening to this family drama.
Mo Yan resisted the urge to beat Mo Lian up and said word by word, “My mother, Meng Xian, was Mo Dong’s first spouse. The two of them got married 29 years ago, and five years later, Mo Cheng and I were born. Later, because Chang Lu brought you along, their marriage was destroyed and they got a divorce. Mo Lian, do you need me to show you the marriage certificate?”
Mo Lian did not expect Mo Yan to know so clearly. She even explained the timeline. She could not help but look a little fl.u.s.tered.
This was somewhat different from what she knew. However, now was not the time to think about this, Mo Lian hurriedly tried to remedy the situation. “Ha! Mo Yan, you really know how to spout nonsense. Ask my father’s friends. Which one of them doesn’t know that my mother is my father’s wife? If what you said is true, how could they not know your mother? They haven’t even met your mother? You’re saying all this because you don’t dare to admit that your mother is a mistress!”
Mo Yan glared fiercely at Mo Lian. Even after her detailed explanation, Mo Lian could still twist the truth! She really wanted to throw her mother and Mo Dong’s divorce certificate onto Mo Lian’s face.
The two of them spoke one after another, causing the surrounding audience to be confused. It seemed like everything they said was reasonable, but it also seemed like there was something ridiculous about them. They couldn’t tell what was true and what wasn’t.
