After ending her shift in urgent care, Elizabeth got into her car and checked the flight status. Brianna and Mia should land at the SeaTac airport in half an hour. The two of them told Liz not to worry about them, they will come with a cab, but she still wants to track their current location.
Liz was startled when her phone rang while it was in her hand.
She picked up the call: "Mia?"
"Hey, we are waiting for you!", Mia's voice rang in Liz's ears.
Liz a.s.sumed they are at the airport, but… didn't they say that they will take a cab? "You landed?"
Mia giggled. "We got an earlier flight. We are talking with Joshua for almost half an hour! Stop working and come home!"
It took Liz few seconds to remember who is Joshua. It's the receptionist. "You are in my building?"
"Yeah. Are you coming home, or are you going to sleep at work?", Bria responded.
Liz understood that Mia put her on the speaker.
"I'm in my car… will be there in ten minutes… I can tell Joshua to let you in."
Mia rejected her offer. "No need, no need. We can wait ten more minutes. Joshua is telling us all about Seattle. See you when you get here!"
Liz ended the call and grinned while thinking: 'They are here!'
…
About half an hour later…
Brianna and Mia finished their tour of Elizabeth's apartment and commented how it is amazing.
"We are so poor that our guests sleep on the sofa in the living room…", Mia pouted. "And you are doing so great that we each get our room."
Brianna rolled her eyes. "How is that important? As a guest, roof over your head and a bed with a bathroom access is just fine."
Mia grimaced at Brianna playfully and turned to Liz. "The view is amazing! I could live on that terrace! That apartment across the hall… Is that where Max is? Can we meet him?"
Liz frowned. "Why do you want to meet him?"
Brianna giggled. "Don't worry, we will not take him away from you. We heard so much about him, I already feel like I know him. It's not often that you talk about guys, so we are curious."
Liz waved her hand dismissively. "Guy or a girl… it's just a neighbor. Don't make a big deal out of it… What are we having for dinner?"
"How about that Asian food you always talk about? And make it quick, we want to seize the evening.", Mia winked at Liz.
"Seize the evening?", Liz asked apprehensively.

"Yes, yes. We didn't come here to sleep. It's Friday evening, and we heard from Joshua that Seattle is the right city to get our party on! Since you are mostly staying at home with grandmstyle entertainment, we are the ones taking you out." Mia turned to Brianna enthusiastically. "Where should we go? Joshua recommended few hot nightclubs… Let's check them online first and pick one…"
Liz exhaled helplessly and mumbled: "Get our party on… so much for my evening in front of the television…"
Brianna heard Liz grumble. "Did you say something?"
Liz denied it. "Nothing, nothing. Let me order food and then we can shower before dinner…"
…
The delivery boy almost screamed in surprise when Liz opened the door to take the food in a fluffy white bathrobe with a light-green facemask on and large pink curlers in her hair. Liz started frowning at his exaggerated reaction. Is it possible that he never saw a girl doing her pre-Friday-night beauty treatment? But she felt her mask cracking, so she kept her expression frozen.
"Thank you.", Liz said through her teeth with minimum lip movement before closing the door.
She glanced at her two friends on the sofa looking alien-like, similar to her, while doing their nails, and she understood why the young man was surprised. There should be a warning at the door when someone opens it looking like that.
After dinner accompanied by lively chat and giggles, the girls got ready.
It was almost nine-thirty when they gave themselves a final visual pre-club inspection.
Liz is 5'6" tall and slim, curvy at the right places. Her ink-black, below shoulder length hair is slightly wavy. She has her little black dress on, which ends above her knees and hugs her body just right.
Brianna is 5'8" tall with a lean body. Her dark blue c.o.c.ktail dress emphasizes her narrow waist and long legs and the color clashes against her fiery red long hair.
Standing proud between her two friends, Mia is the shortest one with her 5'3". Her above-shoulders platinum blonde hair frames her pet.i.te face perfectly and the sparkly teal dress complements her sharp blue eyes very well.
All three girls have almost matching black high-heeled shoes, smokey-eyed shadow and a gloss lipstick. They are ready for a night out in the city!
"Grrr!", Mia did a clawing movement toward herself in the long mirror. It's obvious that she approves of her look. "Seattle hotties, watch out! Momma is in town tonight and ready to rumble!"
"Do we need hotties?", Liz asked reluctantly. She does not want to spoil the mood… but hotties?
Brianna giggled. "Relax Liz. We are not going on a manhunt… But if a good one comes our way, who are we to say no to some fun?"
Mia nodded in approval. "Correct! Let's go and have some girl-fun. But we should stay vigilant because you never know when Mr. Right might come by."
Brianna and Mia laughed at Liz's non-enthusiastic expression.
"Why are you out of vigor? Now I know that age is just a number…", Brianna teased Liz because she is the youngest and the least excited one.
Mia urged Brianna to stop teasing Liz. "Liz will get in the party mood once we reach our destination. Let's call a cab. We will be drinking, so no one should drive."
"Where are we going?", Liz asked while getting her phone to call a cab. She reminded herself that her besties are here only for the weekend and she should not be a party-p.o.o.per. Not tonight.
"Joshua recommended few places.", Mia responded. "We are going to… Purple Orchid?", she glanced at Brianna for confirmation.
Brianna paused and then burst into laugh. "Why can't you remember the name? But you are close… it's a color and a flower…"
Mia was almost proud of herself for getting it right that it's a color and a flower. She was never good at remembering names.

~ Black Rose nightclub ~
Later that evening…
Quentin is in his (and Max's) usual booth with two women by his side. He is enjoying the company of ladies who are pleasing to the eyes. He occasionally glances through the rest of the club. You never know when someone more interesting might show up.
His attention is drawn toward three figures which entered.
It's fairly early for the Black Rose, so the club is still not packed and he has an almost un.o.bstructed view.
He is confident that it's their first time here because three ladies are standing and observing the area while gesturing and talking, probably where they will head next. He saw them move toward the bar area. It's a usual first stop for newcomers.
The spotlight hits them one-by-one as they move slowly toward their destination and he sees the shortest one first… it's a blonde (aka Mia). 'Not bad', he thought.
The second one gets under the light and Quentin perked up when he recognized Elizabeth. 'Ah, if Max is here… what would he do?'
Quentin's heart stopped at the sight of Brianna who walked one step behind Elizabeth. It was like a lightning hit him and his vision zoomed in on the fiery G.o.ddess, and he was confident that she is the only woman in the club… maybe the only woman in the world.
'Mother of G.o.ds! What is this?!', Quentin screamed internally while clutching his chest subconsciously. Why does it feel that his heart is about to jump out of his ribcage?
He glanced at two women by his side and was shocked to see that they are not pleasing to the eyes. They are average, at best. It seems that the fiery G.o.ddess who came with Elizabeth increased the bar of what 'visually pleasing' is… and right now that G.o.ddess is the only one who is drawing his attention. All the other girls look like a bland black-and-white silent movie.
"How about you two go and dance?", Quentin said to the two women by his side grumpily, and he was happy to see that they left without objecting. Not verbally, at least.
His eyes moved back to the direction of Brianna and he wondered, who is she and how can he get close to her? There are three of them at the bar, if he goes by himself… three against one, he will crash and burn as soon as says 'h.e.l.lo'.
His eyes flashed when the idea hit him: 'His fiery G.o.ddess is with Elizabeth!'
Quentin got his phone and he was surprised to see that his hands are shaky.
