"Report!" A guard suddenly stormed the meeting hall and immediately knelt down.

"Report to commander! Our military camp was attacked by an SSS-Cla.s.s mage, many of our men are severely injured." The guard shouted.

"What?!" Both the ministers and the commander all stood up from their seats in shock.

"Did you say SSS-Cla.s.s?" Commander Li asked nervously.

"Yes, he also demands the Empire to deliver 100 Cla.s.s Elemental Coins to Thunder Valley by tomorrow and vacate all of our troops from the region." The guard replied then continued by saying, "We also found out that the death of the late commander was related to him!"

"Why would an SSS-Cla.s.s mage wanted to go against us?" The ministers asked they couldn't fathom what reason it might be for him to kill one of their S-Cla.s.s commanders.

"Its... its..." Commander Li glared at the guard who's tone was shuttering and quickly became impatient, "Say it!"

The solider quickly replied, "Ah yes! Its because our troops were hara.s.sing the local villagers and confiscating their goods. This unintentionally provoked his ire."

"What?! He killed one of our commanders and injured our men just because of some low life villagers? Does he even know how much resources it takes to cultivate an S-Cla.s.s mage and he still wants us to pay compensation?!" The ministers all exclaimed in dissatisfaction.

One of the ministers thought about then asked, "Why don't we request the help of the Song-Min Continent? Surely they have the power to fend off an SSS-Cla.s.s mage!"

The ministers all looked at each other and mumbled to themselves, then suddenly another guard stormed into the room, "Report!"

"What is it now?!" Commander Li was getting frustrated.

The guard quickly replied, "Report to commander! The Song-Min Emperor had sent a message saying that if we don't quickly sort this out then the deal between the two-nation shall be forfeited!"

When going against an SSS-Cla.s.s, casualties are always guaranteed even if Song-Min Continent has two SSS-Cla.s.s mages. The Song-Min Contininet would like to preserve as much power as possible especially in such a time where wars between powerful nations could easily break out at any moment.

Commander Li slammed his fist and a large chunk of the table fell onto the floor, "Fine! We will satisfy their demands!"

"But commander!" The ministers wanted to say something, but commander Li quickly raised his hand, ordering them to stop.

"It's decided! We can't afford to infuriate both parties." Commander Li believed that if King Ping was here, he would choose to do the same even if he managed to become an SS-Cla.s.s.

The next day, Commander Li personally went to Thunder Valley along with a chest full of elemental coins, escorted by over two-hundred soldiers that are all Cla.s.s.

Unlike in Thunderbolt City, Thunder Valley is constantly raining and thunders would strike the ground every few seconds.

The troops had some had time walking along the wet and muddy landscape, some were unlucky enough to be struck by lightning, but luckily their fitness was enough to keep them going.

When they finally arrived at the meeting point, Commander Li was surprised to see that three high elders from Thunderbolt Academy were already there.

"Why are the high elders of Thunderbolt Academy here?" Commander Li angrily asked, he still didn't forget what happened during his time in Thunderbolt City.

"Why can't we be here? This place belongs to our Thunderbolt Academy." One of the high elders replied.

Then another high elder suddenly exclaimed, "I heard that the troops from the Tai Empire had been stealing and hara.s.sing villages that are under the rule of our Thunderbolt!"

Commander Li clenched his fist but held back his anger, he doesn't want to create any more unnecessary enemies. The Tai Empire is still weak, he could not do something that might endanger the relationship between the Tai Empire and Song-Min Continent.

An unknown explosion struck the ground ahead and everything was thrown into turmoil when a violent wind suddenly appeared. The thick mist around them made it hard for them to see what lies ahead of them, all they could see was a shadow of a man standing behind the mist.

When the wind finally died down and the thick mist becomes clearer, they were now able to see a man dressed in a white cloak and wore a golden mask that covered his upper part of his face.

The man was emitting a dominating aura that of an SSS-Cla.s.s, the man's face seems to be absent from any emotions and the man's eyes were crimson red.

After witnessing the dominating aura of the man, Commander Li's body felt stiff, it was his first time meeting an SSS-Cla.s.s mage. He had seen the aura of an SS-Cla.s.s but the difference is like a cup of water and a reservoir.

"Thunderbolt Academy's three high elders greet this venerable one." The three high elders respectively bowed down.

Xiao Yang frowned, he didn't expect the three high elders of Thunderbolt Academy would be here. He thought that the Tai Empire had managed to convince the academy to support them to defeat him, seeing how they bought so many troops with them.

His Divine Airsoft Revolver may be able to injure SS-Cla.s.s mages but there are three of them and what's more, he already used up most of his mana when he stimulated that huge explosion with his revolver.
