It is rare for the caller to be this persistent so after letting out a sigh, she picked up only to hear a deafening voice come from the end of the call.
"You need to come here right now!"
The caller was none other than Aldren, the youngster who's infatuated with her friend.
"I'm busy, Aldren."
She was about to hang up as she was getting glared at by Theodore, who's not happy that she disrupted their serious conversation with a phone call.
"Nononono wait wait! It's about Bin!"
As she heard her servant's name, Jasmine's face changed.
"Bin?"

Even Rock and Theodore were startled, they remained quiet and waited for her to finish the call, which didn't last long.
"What happened?"
"Aldren found him Bin!"
The girl quickly got up, not having time to answer her father's question. Theodore, confused, sent Rock with his daughter to see what's going on. Jasmine was about to leave along with Rock only for Rika to come from downstairs.
The short-haired girl woke up late but when she saw her friend's distressed expression, she knew that Jasmine must've discovered something about Bin's whereabouts.
Unbeknownst to Jasmine, Rock, or Rika, an invisible figure followed them out of the manor, clearly planning to accompany them.
Whatever Aldren told her, it was too vague to understand the condition of Bin. He just told her that her servant is in a friend's clinic and he's being tricked.
Actually, Aldren found this by accident when he visited Ann to pa.s.s some time. He found his friend in a poor and miserable state, her hair was messy and she practically starving.
He was aware that Bin is working for Jasmine and also knew that the youngster didn't have any family so he just called Jasmine. Although Bin warned him not to tell anyone about his illness, this situation was too serious and to keep such a huge matter a secret from everyone would cause him a lot of trouble in the future.
Bin's condition stabilized but only for now, he was wrapped with bandages and was equipped with a breathing machine and several other things to keep him alive. Basically, he wasn't out of danger, just temporarily safe, or so said Ann.
As they were in a rush, using the limousine would only slow them down so Jasmine decided to drive. She was accompanied by Rock and Rika, one was here to a.s.sess the situation and the other was genuinely worried for Bin, who sincerely welcomed her inside his home, fed her and even kept her secret.
Around twenty minutes after leaving the manor, a sports car parked in front of Ann's private clinic. With rapid steps, Jasmine and co entered the strangely empty building and barged into Ann's laboratory, startling her.
She was still feeling a bit tired and was about to doze off only for several strangers to enter her room. Aldren, who was expecting them, pointed at the transparent window a distance away, to which the newcomers gazed at.
They saw a hospitalized Bin, still unconscious. Seeing him still alive, Jasmine and Rika breathed a sigh of relief, as for Lawyer Rock, he kept gazing at the dormant youth.
The invisible person who followed them walked near the transparent window and inspected Bin. No matter how much she looked, she couldn't find anything wrong with him unlike last time in the academy.
Back then, the reaction of his body was noticeable by a powerful person like her, the quant.i.ty of Mana inside his body was simply staggering.
Jasmine and Rika were about to enter the room only for the drowsy Ann to block their path, barring their way while raising her hands.
"No one is allowed to enter, the patient needs rest."
"Who are you?!"
Jasmine controlled her emotions and asked the girl before her while frowning.
Seeing the intensifying atmosphere, Aldren b.u.t.ted in while saying
"She's the doctor who treated Bin."
Only then did Jasmine's expression eased up, she turned her head and glanced at the unconscious Bin while asking:
"How is he?"
Still gazing at Jasmine, Ann replied while keeping a deadpan face.
"His condition is stable now but only time will tell if he'll live or not."
"W-what do you mean?"
Rika, who was on the back, spoke with a shaky and shy tone. In response, Ann shrugged and gave an honest reply
"Well, he was stabbed three times and was. .h.i.t a particularly vital spot. One of his kidneys failed… honestly, I'm surprised that he's still alive."
Aldren patted his friend's back while saying
"She's just being humble! No one but she would've been able to save him, I'm sure that's why he came here instead of a hospital."
To cover up Bin's actions, he decided to think of that excuse, which is rather believable.
"He came here? How?"
Jasmine stood there in shock, not knowing what to do or how to react. Lawyer Rock bowed toward the doctor then asked
"How did he come here?"
"I don't know, he barely managed to arrive her then fell unconscious. His condition was pretty serious and he lost a lot of blood in the way."
While smiling, Rock slightly bowed his head while saying:
"We thank you for treating him."
Ann waved her hand nonchalantly while answering
"Don't fret it, I only did my job."
As if she remembered something, Ann walked to a nearby desk and retrieved a bloodied envelop while explaining
"He was clutching this when he arrived."
She handed it to Rock, who accepted and immediately opened it. Seeing the money and the check inside, the lawyer kind of grasped what happened in the alley.
"The twins must've been robbers or thugs."
"It's my fault…"-Jasmine
With a dropped head and a guilty expression, Jasmine said those words, barely able to hold her welled expression. She saw him acting all angry yesterday but chose to ignore it. She kind of suspected that he might have been robbed when she saw the totally empty apartment but, in the end, she did nothing. Furthermore, she was too preoccupied with Rika to focus on her servant, who ended up in this dire situation due to her carelessness.
When he told her he's leaving to do something yesterday night, she thought nothing of it and merely let him go. Were she more careful, he wouldn't have been stabbed three times…
