"You take care of it."
Happy that he can vent his anger, Rolo brightly smiled and faced Elise, who already closed the distance between her and her soon-to-be opponent. She knew that she'll win but she was a bit curious about the students' magic, which seems more elementary and different than the brutal one used by the facility's people.
"Do you know the rules?" Asked Joseph, his green eyes focusing on the masked girl.
In response, Elise shrugged and said back
"It ends when one of us falls. I presume we cannot injure each other, right?"
"That is correct."
"But since you're not a student and I don't even know if you're a magic-user or not then accidents can always happen." Added Rolo while grinning like a fool.
The two had ten seconds to prepare themselves before Joseph announced the beginning of the spar. Elise, being athletically good and an expert fighter, could finish off Rolo without using Magic but that would defeat the purpose of this 'show'.
She wanted to try their magic as resorting to her unique ability will garner unwanted attention. Earlier, when she was listening to Julia and looking at the demonstrated Magic, Elise was sure she could imitate them but not perfectly because it's her first time. Now that an opportunity had arisen, she's delighted.
Rolo raised his hand and channeled his Mana, soon unleashing an invisible wind blade that whistled in the air and shot at her. In retaliation, Elise imitated his actions and imagined an invisible blade made of wind and, just like that, she felt something leave her body at a lightning speed.
As she wasn't adept at controlling the Mana that leaves her body, the wind blade she unleashed was as least twice the size of Rolo's. It disintegrated his and instantly hit him before anyone could react, the poor students was sent flying three to four meters to the back then miserably fell on the ground. There was blood leaking out of his chest but it wasn't a very serious wound, nevertheless, the young man was panicking as if he was at death's door, the mere sight of the crimson liquid made his face pale.
Several students ran up to him and help him while cautiously glancing at the masked girl, who was looking at her hand, totally absent-minded.
'I could've used more Mana but I can't control the trajectory or its length… did I do something wrong?'
Julia coldly looked at Rolo and said,
"Take him to the infirmary, this spar is over."
She swept a glance at Elise but didn't blame her because Rolo used a strong attack too. However, the teacher did notice Elise's clumsy and non-precise magic, which was akin to a beginner.
"Wait, teacher." Joseph raised his hand, his expression frowning
"I believe that now, she truly owes us an apolog-"
"What apology?! Joseph, stop talking and resume training. I don't want to hear about this anymore, understood?"
Hearing her loud and angry tone, Joseph shut his mouth and did as told, not daring to even look at Elise, who chuckled and went back next to Bin.
"So, did you have fun?"
Although he couldn't see it, there was a sweet smile plastered on Elise's face.
"I can't say that I didn't. But they are really weak."
She paused for a few breaths before asking her brother,
"Haven't you tried learning magic before?"
The servant furrowed his brow and retorted, "Magic? More Mana inside my body means I die sooner. What's there to learn? I do admit that it's useful against the facility but being subjected to Mana can only harm me."
Elise's eyes narrowed as she stared at his chest and spoke with a very low voice.
"Then what's this small source of magic hidden in your clothes?"
She couldn't see the red crystal but its ominous aura resonated with her Blood Magic and made her feel at ease.
"That is… nothing you should concern yourself about."
"I'm not concerned, just curious."
"Then keep your curiosity to yourself. Don't get me wrong, I do trust you but that doesn't mean I'm willing to divulge everything to you. There are things that the fewer people know about it, the better."
..
An hour later, the students finally finished sparring and dispersed, each heading to an area. Joseph, Rolo, and two more guys didn't return from the infirmary, as for Jasmine and her friends, they walked toward Bin and Elise.
The masked girl was standing like a statue, unaware of the strange gazes she was getting from all four girls. Her brother, Bin, was half-asleep and unaware that his master is getting closer.
"You… you were awesome!"
Cara was laughing as she complimented Elise, seeming genuinely impressed by her friend's new servant. The same can't be said for Rika, who didn't agree with Elise's action but she didn't reprimand the latter and planned to ask Bin later, when they're alone.
Perhaps the only one who wasn't happy was Jasmine as her crush, Joseph, was embarra.s.sed after he was belittled by this girl.
"Master."
When Rika was close enough, Elisa respectfully bowed and greeted her master but she ignored the other three. Bin heard them so he lazily woke up and stretched his legs and fixed his suit before slowly standing up.
"Come on, we're going home."
"Home?"
Bin was confused as it's a bit early to go home.
"The teacher has something to do so we were let go early." Jasmine casually explained while leaving the area.
Cara and Melissa still had other lessons so only Rika followed after her friend.

At the top of the main building of the magic academy, a mustached-man wearing an exquisite red suit was looking outside of the window, he was fiddling with a gla.s.s of wine.
This man was Thomas Viserce Hengbert, he was the princ.i.p.al as well as the owner of this famous magic academy. Furthermore, he's one of the greatest magic of the current era and is highly respected by both officials and celebrities. He's an eccentric middle-aged man who rarely shows himself and even his origins are unknown, however, no one can deny his authority and destructive magic.
"You seem absent-minded, sir."
An old bespectacled woman who appeared to be in her fifties was standing a distance away from Thomas. She wore a pair of old rectangular black gla.s.ses and wore a respectable feminine grey tuxedo. Despite her old age, she seemed energetic and acted as if she was still in her prime.
"Indeed I am." Chuckled the princ.i.p.al. "The calm tides have pa.s.sed and it's time for the raging storm."
His mysteriously purple pupils were focusing on Elise, who was aware of nothing. His gaze lasted for more than a minute before he glanced at Bin.
"She's from the Blood Facility, sir."
"And? I don't care. As long as they don't trespa.s.s into my academy then I won't act."
"Does that mean you'll protect her?"
"Protect? That's stretching it a bit, don't you think?" He drank a bit of wine, sat back on his comfortable leather chair and added,
"You can call it 'temporary lodging with guaranteed safety'."
"How is that any different, sir?"
The old woman sighed and shook her head, tired of her boss' inexplicably strange behavior.
