I Shall Rule The Heavens 41 Ch. 41 - Shenmi Wu

The guard seemed to panic. He just saw two people appear from what seemed to be thin air. Of course, he would be shaken by it!

'Pa.s.s forward my message to the incompetent guard; Get the chief here!', Xiao Huoyan said through voice transmission to his sister.

"My brother want you to get the chief here! NOW!!", Tian Xin said with as much of an angry tone that she could bring forth.

She had understood the situation. Her brother did not want to reveal his age. At least not now.

He knew that if he altered his voice he might get exposed, but if he did not then anyone would be able to tell that he was but a small child.

"Y-yes! R-right aw-way!", the guard answered right away.

He quickly ran away to get the chief.

After a short while, he came back.

"The chief told me to lead you to--"

"Just lead the way already! I am starting to lose my patience!", Tian Xin said angrily.

'Do not overdo it sister', Xiao Huoyan quickly reminded his sister through voice transmission.

"Sorry brother!"

The guard had not heard Xiao Huoyan utter a single word since he came in. When he heard Tian Xin speak with Xiao Huoyan as if she was answering, he became speechless.

They were having a conversation which he could not hear!

"Stop staring already. Do you want me to dig out your eyes?"

Hearing his sister say such a thing, Xiao Huoyan could not help but laugh.

As he laughed, the guard leading their way go even more surprised as he heard Xiao Huoyan laugh.

He immediately understood that Xiao Huoyan was indeed a small child.

"Y-y-you are a chi--"

Xiao Huoyan immediately became aware of his mistake and quickly silenced the guard by turning him into a mist of blood.

Then he used Icy Hurricane to hinder the blood from staining the walls.

'Please apologize for me when we reach the chief. Tell her that I am willing to compensate her for the guard's life', Xiao Huoyan told his sister through voice transmission.

Even though he had personally killed the guard, he did not feel too bad about it. He knew that if he had not killed the guard and he would have spread the fact of him being a child too early, his plans would have been destroyed.

"Mhm. I will, brother. So how are we going to find the chief now?"

'No need to worry. The chief will naturally sense the smell of blood and come here to find out who died and why. She will be here very soon.'

"The chief of the Alchemists a.s.sociation is a woman?! Why did you not tell me sooner, brother?"

A gorgeous lady had just come from the other end of the hall.

"Y-you are the chief?! How beautiful!"

"This time, just like before, Xiao Huoyan could not help himself and was just about to begin laughing again when he suddenly remembered that he had to hide his ident.i.ty as a child.

As he managed to hinder himself, he began coughing instead.

"Brother?! Are you okay?! I told you not to--"

'I am fine, sister', Xiao Huoyan had to interrupt her. He knew exactly what his sister was about to say next, and he also knew that 'that' next line of hers would definitely expose him. Therefore, he interrupted her before she could finish her sentence.

"Okay but be careful next time."

Xiao Huoyan did not even get the chance to answer. The chief suddenly began laughing.

"Hahahaha! You must be siblings right? Or maybe that oldie is your mute grandfather or something? Hahahaha!"

Xiao Huoyan could not stand anyone making fun of his sister, so he decided to give up the plan he had and just improvise instead.

Suddenly he waved his sleeve and both of their cloaks flew away with the wind and landed neatly folded onto the ground right before them.

"If you dare to laugh at my sister again, I shall kill you along with your entire Alchemist's a.s.sociation", Xiao Huoyan said with a calm and steady tone.

"Do not overestimate your capabilities little one! I know that your spirit essence is Icy Hurricane. I felt it as soon as you used it to take off and fold your cloaks. I am warning you because my spirit essence is the exact opposite to yours! I have Fl-"

"-- Flaming Eagle, I know. I could feel it even before you entered the room. You are the one who should not overestimate yourself."

Right after Xiao Huoyan said that, he released four of his spirit essences; Demonic Flame, The Golden Dragon, Icy Hurricane and The Golden Bird all at once!

He made the spirit essences dance beautifully in the air. It was truly a beautiful sight!

"F-FOUR SPIRIT ESSENCES?!?!? IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!?! AND TWO OF THEM ONLY BELONGS TO THE JIN CLAN'S DIRECT DESCENDANTS?!?! WHAT KIND OF MONSTER ARE YOU?!?!?"

"You! You dare call my little brother a monster?! I shall kill yo--!"

"It is fine, sister."

"I said that it is fine!"

"I... understand."

The chief was shaking there she stood. She was scared speechless.

Xiao Huoyan suddenly began to walk closer to her only stopping a few steps away from her.

"Your name is Shenmi Wu and you are thirty-two years old. You do not have any children since you despise men. You live alone in a mansion not too far from here. You have a baby tiger and her name is Xiao Hu. You had a turtle before, but someone killed it as revenge because you had refused his marriage proposal twice.

My condolences. Such an a.s.shole of a man, really.

However, you did not let him of that easy either. You even went as far as wiping out his entire family. How cruel..."

"H-how do you know so much about me?! Who sold you the information?!"

Xiao Huoyan heaved a deep sigh and continued speaking.
