"Really? We're really leaving tomorrow?!", Tian Xin said with a voice filled with expectation.
Xiao Huoyan didn't say anything. He just nodded his head silently.
"YAAAY!! You're the best, brother!"
Tian Xin knew that he was both stronger and more mature than most adults, so she thought he didn't want to be treated as a helpless little child. She knew that she wouldn't have wanted to if she were in his shoes, and therefor she decided to treat him as if they were of the same age despite the actual age difference between them.
In fact, most of the time she would be the one behaving like a child.
"You're overreacting. It's not that great, now is it?"
"Of course, it's great!"
Xiao Huoyan didn't say anything. He just chuckled lightly.
"Hm…"
"What is it brother?"
"Now that were going to The Azure Dragon School, in case something happens, and I have to reveal myself, I can't afford to let it destroy my plans…"
"Then why don't you use another name? How about letting the world know about Jin Xin?"
"Like I said to uncle Niao; When Jin Long died, Jin Xin died with him!"
"Jin Long wouldn't have wanted you to let go of the name he gave you just because he died!"
"… You're right."
"Exactly! So why don't you enrol in The Azure Dragon School as Jin Xin then?"
"If I do, then we won't ever have a peaceful day--"
"Then why don't you enrol as Jin Xin and tell them all not to expose you? Just tell them not to expose your real ident.i.ty and to call you something else instead! How about--"
"Tian Yan…"
"Tian Yan? That's indeed a great name! How did you come up with it so fast? It has 'Yan' as in your 'Huoyan' as well as 'Tian' which is the same surname as I have! Then everyone will know that were siblings! Amazing!"
"… I didn't come up with the name…"
"Huh? Then who did?"
"… Mother Mei did. That time when she was searching for me in the village, she was shouting the name 'Tian Yan' as to not expose my real name nor the connections between us. She didn't give birth to me so I'm not her own blood and flesh, yet she took me in as her own. She died for my sake…"
"… We've already talked about this, so stop being so depressed already! It's not your fault and it's not mine. The one to blame for mother's death is neither of us. It's Jin Niao as well as the entire Jin Clan! We'll take our revenge on them when the time is right!"
"You're right."
"I know, just get used to it! I'm actually a lot smarter than I look, hehe!"
"Hahahaha, you sure are!"
"For now, I'll pretend I didn't notice the sarcasm in your tone as to not ruin this happy moment, but I'll definitely deal with you later, so just you wait!"
"Sister Tian Xin treats me the best!"
"Of course!"
-
After a while they both went back to train again. A few hours later they came back again. This time to eat dinner.
When they finished eating, Xiao Huoyan went to bed while Tian Xin began packing. She finished quickly and then she also went to bed.
This time, Xiao Huoyan were the one to wake up first and prepare breakfast. As soon as Tian Xin woke up, she rushed out of her room and into the kitchen. Then she quickly finished her meal.
"Why are you rushing? I've never seen you eat that fast before!"
"It's just that your food's too delicious!"
"I know my cooking skills are indeed above average, but this is just fried eggs. Didn't I prepare the exact same thing two days ago? You barely touched your food then."
"Your food is indeed the best, but you're right. It's not because of your food that I'm rushing but because you said we'd leave early this morning, so I want to finish everything as quick as possible so that we can set off to The Azure Sea Division!"
"You're really that excited?!"
"Well of course! I know that you made this decision because you saw how sad I was yesterday, therefor I'll have the make sure that we leave here before you change your mind!"
"I didn't plan on changing my mind. That would only make you even more sad; Getting your hopes up and then tearing them apart."
"You're right! So… How long does it take to get to The Azure Sea Division?"
"By foot it should take around two weeks, but we're not going to walk there. I'm in no mood for that."
"Then are we going to fly there?"
"You can't fly yet. Your cultivation is still too low."
"But I could fly in--"
"In that world anyone can fly. If someone without cultivation would try they'd also succeed."
"What?! When will I be able to fly then?"
"Follow my instructions and you'll be able to fly in at least three months."
"Three months?!"
"It would take most people more than three years to get from where you are now to being able to fly. Don't be too greedy now."
"Fine, brother. But how are we going to get to The Azure Sea Division then? It's not like you could hire horses anywhere close by."
"Ever heard of Teleportation Talismans? We're going to use them."
"Teleportation Talismans that're able to get us all the way from here to The Azure Sea Division must be really expensive! How are we going to get those?!"
" Father Long left me instructions on how to produce them. I made some last night."
"You made them on your own?! And didn't you go straight to bed yesterday?"
"I did go to bed. I was laying in bed unable to sleep, so I decided to try making the talismans."
"Did you say you made a 'some' of them?! Even for experts it would take at least a few hours to make a single one of them!"
"Really? Isn't it just like snapping your fingers?"
Hearing her brother speaking about it as if it was nothing made her speechless.
"At least now we won't have to ever worry about money."
"Can these Teleportation Talismans fetch a high price?"
"They should cost at least two hundred thousand each!"
"Sounds expensive."
"It is!"
"Then I guess they can be used to make money too."
"Of course they can! If we were to take them to an auction house, we'd become rich overnight!"
"That's great!"
Xiao Huoyan didn't really care much about the money, but he wanted his dear sister to be able to live her life without worries.
He had to help her get strong enough to be able to take care of herself in case something happened to him. Money would help a lot on the way. Resources would cost an unimaginable amount of money.
Though he had received so much from his father Long, he knew that it wouldn't be enough. He had to earn money by himself, and now he had found a way to do it.
He had always been gifted in everything, so he decided that when they reached The Azure Sea Division, he'd go to the Alchemists a.s.sociation and try making pills and elixirs.
Alchemists were respected everywhere. He had a feeling that he'd be surprisingly good at it. If he were to succeed as an alchemist, he and his sister wouldn't need to worry about money nor status!
