Jenny was finally relieved when she knew that her daughter’s safety was guaranteed. However, as she slowly regained consciousness, she realized that she was lying in a man’s arms.

Jenny Braun, the youngest and prettiest columnists of Wall Street felt ashamed when she recalled how she used to criticize Zhou Qingfeng. Here she was begging him, a man who had recently turned eighteen, to stay with her.

She had been ignoring her own safety in exchange for her daughter’s safety. She did not understand why she gave up all her pride and insisted on following Zhou Qingfeng. She tried to follow him even when the building was on fire yesterday.

“Let’s go and have breakfast then, shall we?” Jenny stood up and tried to leave. Zhou Qingfeng was staring at her like he was going to eat her.

“I’ll carry you there,” Zhou Qingfeng carried her in his arms and even inserted his fingers into her a.s.sh*le. He thought to himself, ‘This is certainly the result of genetics, nutrition, living habits, and many other reasons…. I can enjoy myself with just this b.u.t.tock for over a year.’

Jenny had never dated a man as young as Zhou Qingfeng, let alone a man with such destructive power, during her studies, university life or even her workplace. Every successful lady in the United States has always been independent, hence Jenny, unlike the typical Asian lady, could not get used to being spoiled by a man.

Nevertheless, Jenny was trying hard to adapt. She knew that she had left a good impression in the heart of Zhou Qingfeng. The ferocious, but kind man will be both her and her daughter’s only hope to live on.

Zhou Qingfeng reactivated the radio communication device as he tried to contact Butcher, but he did not get a reply. Is that b.a.s.t.a.r.d dead? He originally planned to occupy the NYPD headquarters and form an alliance with David Lawrence and the rest, but nothing had been achieved at this point.

However, after further investigation, he found out that Korgan and the others had no choice but to escape the immigration building after the ma.s.sacre. Zhou Qingfeng returned to the building to continue his investigation. He discovered many scattered corpses on the ground and basically, n.o.body from the building had survived.

There were quite a few supplies, including food, water, weapon, ammunition, and jewelry. They were left behind by the mobsters. Among them was a pretty unique dynamic perception device. The device seemed to be a high-tech equipment experimented by the NYPD. It was used specifically for identifying the location of objects within a range of five meters during close quarter combat.

“Only for a distance of five meters? That distance is way too short!” Zhou Qingfeng realized that it was actually an improved life detecting device. It was normally used to identify the location of a human heartbeat via its low-frequency electromagnetic field.

In the past, the device was used for rescue operations during a tragedy. It used to be big. However, the technology in 2030 allowed it to be stored in a pocket.

The dynamic perception device could be connected to the armband computer on Zhou Qingfeng’s wrist, and its results would be displayed on the screen of the armband computer. Therefore, the device would definitely come in handy if he were to face any trouble in the future.

Other than the dynamic perception device, Zhou Qingfeng also got himself a 40-mm six-shot revolver-type grenade launcher. The model of it was unknown, but it used non-lethal tear gas as bullets. Ivan used it to defeat Zhou Qingfeng in their first organized ambush.

Zhou Qingfeng took several bags of supplies back to the mobile command vehicle after going back and forth the building several times. Jenny Braun did not choose to hide inside the vehicle. Instead, she kept following him as she tried her best to prove her worth.

Even Zhou Qingfeng felt sorry when he saw the blonde, busty lady trying to stay vigilant even when she was sweating profusely, “Does every single woman from the United States behaves just like you?”

“Are you comparing me to the women from Asia?” Jenny talked to him while watching his back. “I do believe that there’s quite a difference between women from the east and the west. I heard that women from the east tend to rely more on their father, brother, husband, and son, but, that’s actually quite rare in the western world.”

“You’re right,” Zhou Qingfeng did not know if he should like a girl who relied on him completely or a girl who pursued individuality and independence. After careful thought, he finally decided that sticking with a strong woman was much better during the cataclysm. Only a peaceful era would allow the existence of a weak lady.

Hmmm…If she can work in the morning and have s.e.x with me at night, then, it’ll be perfect!

As they had collected enough supplies, the mobile command vehicle was now full. The immigration building was fifty to sixty stories high, and there were hundreds of rooms on each floor. Hence, there were thousands of water bottles scattered all over the place. These survivors could actually live a better life if it were not for Korgan and the rest.

When night arrived, Zhou Qingfeng, who was now exhausted and grumpy, entered the bathroom that came with a bathtub. He took off all his clothes and wanted to take a bath.

“Can I take a bath too?” Jenny entered the bathroom in the midst of darkness.
