The person in the robe timidly said, "we have no prior malice between us fellow xiantians."
"What?" Hartley asked aloud as he walked towards the dark robe person,
"No prior malice yet you attacked me in bed?"
As he was closing in, the dark robe person made a final desperate attempt at another fireball
WHOOSSHH!
A orange and red fireball appeared on his right hand then swiftly made its way towards Hartley. Hartley used "State of Focus" to slow down time and adjusted his body with minute movements so the fire pa.s.sed by barely an inch away from him. He didn't need to worry too much about the heat this time because his physical body was now also in the Xiantian realm.
From the robed person's perspective, he saw an optical illusion as if Hartley had just nonchalantly walked through the fireball unharmed.
He gulped down a mouthful of saliva as his adam's apple moved up and down on his throat. He was scared s.h.i.tless and started to confess that it was the Lin Clan who had put a hit on Hartley.. He quickly admitted that the uncle of the Lin Chin, Lin Wulai had sent a rushed messenger over with an order that a wild man had violated his clan and should be dealt with as soon as possible. He even paid upfront.
Information on the target was limited but it was confirmed he should not be that big of a problem. Hartley was thought to be just a level higher than Lin Wulai's nephew.
Hartley wasn't a vicious or blood thirsty person but he had tempered himself many times over, fighting for survival, his instincts told him that this person, even though he seems pitiful at the moment, would be a huge danger to him if he was to walk free. He had learned these lessons from experience so would not take them lightly.
His right leg pushed off the ground creating spiderweb cracks beneath it.
He reached the robed person struggling with the effects of gravity, Hartley's right fist shot out like a snake towards the person's chest. The dark robed man felt a terrible pressure of danger, he exerted all his strength putting up both arms in the shape of an "X" in a desperate attempt to block the incoming punch..
Puuuffff!!! Crack!! Crack!!
when a fist enshrouded in bright blue aura came into contact with the arms of that person, all one could hear were the crunching sounds of bones being shattered and when the fist eventually made contact with chest of that person, his heart exploded as his chest was caved, the man was catapulted back 10 meters, pitched on the dirt and rolled around a couple times before coming to stop without breath.
He was dead.
Hartley looked back towards the south thinking about how petty the Lin Clan was. He searched the body of the dead person without even looking at his concealed face, took the s.p.a.ce ring and headed south shaking his head. Some people will never learn unless you show them..That's why seeing is believing.
The next morning there as a handsome young lord dressed in a yellow loosely fitted robe with a embroidered H on the right breast pocket.
His hair fluttered in the calm morning breeze as his strikingly blue eyes looked towards the Lin Clan, if one was to look closely they would not see the expected anger or rage but a guarded confidence.
