Soojiki’s note: Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, etc etc. Sad that Baka-tsuki received DMCA on their projects and then there’s something with Chinese novels getting taken down too? Whew, its a crack-down operation this month alone. But its bound to happen, maybe to me too? Oh wells, enjoy.

What the heck, again with that.
I reincarnated safely and in perfect health. It’s charming that I somehow retained my memories from before. It seems many of my thoughts and feeling are still here!
There were no special inconveniences and my parents, particularly my mother, was what you could call ordinary, easy-going, and “going my way” kind of person. Because of that she thoughtlessly pursued many things. On the contrary, I was concerned that this world would be a “survival of the fittest” kind of world.
I live in a village that was half agricultural and half fishing.
Aberian Kingdom, Count Shanrial territory is fair and not bad at all. It’s a mid-sized village (by what the peddlers are saying)
Of course, if there’s no electricity, then there’s gas. Water is obtained by pulling it from wells and toilets are exposed to the fields or by bottan. Well, at least our house has flushing(boasting).
Although the area has a reputation for its beautiful scenery, countryside is still the countryside. There’s no doubt its an earthly countryside, and yet I’m satisfied with just this.
In my previous life, I also lived in a farmhouse. It’s a rural area surrounded by mountains and fields. Walking to elementary school took about 1km. Bus was at 3km and the middle-school was just across a mountain, which took 7km by biking. Both the high school and station was 5km and finally the train was located 20km away. Iya, tough but it builds character in a person.
But when I became a working adult, I lived in the city. If I lived to be in my late 40’s, I often imagined that moving back to the countryside to live the slow life sounded wonderful. If that wishful dream came true, there would be no complaints from me.
Seriously though, I was saved from being born in the slums and becoming a slave.
ideas from my previous life, I intend to spend my life comfortably.
Although it’s the countryside, the center of the village to an extent shops. From general stores to blacksmiths, there’s even a place selling armors. Every morning there would always be a small market stand, so there was no need to worry about vegetables. Once a month, from the castle town came peddlers often bringing daily necessity, making it easier to procure. Orders can also be made upon request. The adventurer guild (a branch) also exist, although only temporary.
Well, my birth time was puzzling but I’m in no rush to live my life. Desperately wanting that and yet before I knew it I became 5 years of age. One thing led to another and now I’m 10 years old
There’s no complaints though. Exactly what you can call an ideal childhood, you could say that having the slow-life is ideal.
This is going to be a wonderful world.
