Soojiki’s note: Thanks for all that voted for the poll! It seems that “Aye Homeboy, you got enough as it is son!” has won! Just a reminder though, I’m (really) considering dropping this series after chapter 20 (7 more chapters so maybe in a week if I happen to release a chapter a day?) and may or may not pick up a different side project. Reason is mentioned before but the author’s writing style bugs me and I don’t feel connected to the story as I do with Weakest skeleton… and to some extent, Yandere Love Theatric. But as always, enjoy!
===========================

The loading capacity of my carriage is generally different from the usual carriages. With a high driver’s seat, I can effectively store things underneath it.

With mud possibly sticking, round objects are not necessarily placed in but that’s why I have 4 buckets that can hold them.

Satchels can also be attached to the horses’ side and if hooks were to be fixed to the side of the carriage, the loading capacity would increase furthermore.

I placed Granny’s barrier packaged items under the driver’s seat.

After placing it, I still have a surplus of time so I figured I head back to the preservation storage. I might as well pack the remaining s.p.a.ce with cookies (4 in a wooden box) and bring it to the village and beach brats.

Wheat = Bread is a natural logic in this world but cookie does not seem to be related as a byproduct of bread. To say the less, no one actually knows the recipe to it and it’s considered our family secret sweet.

Well, it would be fine to teach but honey acts as a replacement to sugar. If I taught how to make it, there is only one or two beekeepers that actually knows how to harvest the honey. Even more is that I’m the only one that actually knows the process of separating the nectar from the honeycomb and have the tools to do so, so I find teaching it has no meaning.

Besides. Making cookies──or more accurately burning it, is Sapull doing. There’s also the fact that though the villager have a fireplace and a kettle furnace, they have no oven to make it with.

Results: Cookies became our patent. Orders continuously come to our house. However, I never thought of trading it. Ah, rather I barter it instead of trading since there’s not much profit in the transactions. The customers are the brats, that can do the preparations too. I say that’s fair.

“You guys, it’s good if you give it your all but you should take a little break!”

Those two trying their best heard me.

Though they have magic, their body and mind is still that of an inexperienced child. It would be bad if they overdid it. Habitually hearing those words, they obediently stopped their practice and dashed towards the watered area.

I kept my eyes on those two and eventually entered the house. I gathered my workshop (in front of the fireplace is what I use for my workshop) current home industries things to be placed outside for a temporary workshop.

Though I have various side jobs, the most lucrative of all is the home industries where my customers are adventurers.

It’s not like I can’t make swords, spears or armors. It’s better to say I lack the necessary expertise and the skill of an amateur── or not even close to that, but if I had the proper skills to make it, it would sell.

Leather bags to belts, simple leather shoes, exploration poles, disposable javelins, stone arrows, iron arrows, small hunting bows, axe handles, wooden swords, and various other items were made.

Well, in my former days (old world) I liked cutting, shaving and woodworking (DIY). Since I have powers and barriers now, I made a weaving loom that’s able to make lots of parts easily. In reality, the two stand loom is used by the mountain women that makes various things out of the ram’s fur.

Though I made various things, recently my latest project is making throwing knives.

Throwing knives are sold at the weapon’s shop and is part of the black smith’s territory, but this world lacks a variety of throwing knives. Generally, the amount of adventurers using throwing knives is few to begin with. At any rate it’s a meritocracy form of adventurers. Those unable to call out magic spheres or magic arrows are seen as beginners.

If so, wouldn’t it be great to sell it to those beginners? They can use the throwing knives as a diversion or even cause a surprise attack. Though it wouldn’t be as effective towards skillful adventurers or intermediate monsters.

Be that as it may, looking down upon throwing knives invokes a painful experience. If there’s a variety made, it can be a concealed weapon and if dabbed in poison, it can take down an orc.

Well, that usefulness and level of familiarity is still low but it’s popular with the adventurers that comes to our village. Though only given apiece, its spreading due to word of mouth. Above all, throwing knives made by me are cheap! It’s only just a combination of using earth magic to gather iron sand(magnet.i.te). It’s as simple as that. Practice stone knives comes in 10 and are sold for 3 bronze coins. Basically as cheap as 300¥.

It’s a big hit, or rather it will be once it sells well later on. If it’s usefulness is understood and other begin to imitate it, it wouldn’t really matter to me. It’s originally only a side job for me just to see if I can use it. If I was serious about this, I would have smashed the dragon’s scale (only if). But it’s not a problem.

“Should I try making a Kunai type now?”

Sticking my hand into the iron sands, I began imagining the form of the Kunai.

Author’s Note:
While it’s a slow life, he’s a wonderful hardworking protagonist. But well, I think its not wrong if he does not live a hurried life. Probably………
