His lips instead ended up hovering near her ear. "The only reason I restrain myself from proving you wrong, Kyera, is because I couldn't restrain myself to just a kiss. You have no idea how alluring you are to me, my temptress. Yet I don't think you would be happy as just a beauty." he whispered before his lips brushed against her cheek. Clovis pulled away putting s.p.a.ce between their bodies again. He could feel her reactions, the shock and excitement blending at a terrifically high levels. It gave him a confidence boost.
She turned away and he watched her walk into the forest. A little guilt nipped at her heels as she made her way back to the base. 'How… Why does he affect me so much… its so powerful. Verone never….'
"Verone…" she whispered as the guilt washed over her. 3 months had pa.s.sed since she saw her childhood sweetheart. He waited for her back home. She couldn't let herself fall… even though they had never been a item it was still a obligation. She promised to come home to him….
"Kyera hurry up. We have to get to the circle!" Mally yelled at Kyera as she and Lazren bounded toward her.
"You okay? Your looking a little pale." Lazren pointed out sniffing the air slightly. The familiar scent wafted around her, a tell tale sign as to what was bothering the lady. Kyera regrouped herself in effort to prepare to face them. They had a task today, she couldn't be distracted… no matter who was the distraction.
"Yea, I am fine. Is everyone aware of the plan?" Kyera asked looking between them noth. Tang being absent did make her a little uneasy. A crucial part to any war was to have all your generals on the same page.
"Yes, the Resistance, the Pups, and the Ursas are all aware of what we are doing. Most of them think its a fantastic idea and are all for casting their own votes." Mally a.s.sured her and Kyera smiled. This was the first step in freeing these shackled people.
"good." Kyera transformed then, allowing the clothes to fall away as she took her tigress form. She stepped out of the underdress, the only piece that was truly cloth as the magic fabric dissipated around her. Mally couldn't help but sigh with envy as she transformed.
Unlike Kyera's easy transform and disrobe it was. .h.i.t or miss as to how much of a fool Mally had to make of herself to transform. In the forest it was easy, their clothes were designed to be easy to remove when they transformed, and easy to carry if needed. However the garb of the humans… made it a bit more tricky. Mally walked behind a tree and disrobed, folding her garments before transforming into the leopardess she was known to be. This, though chancing being seen, was safer for her dignity then tripping over and fumbling to get out of the cloth as a leopard.
By the time she returned to the group, Lazren had already changed shape and stood as a wolf at the tiger's side. He had never really seen how much larger Kyera was compared to himself in animal hide. Kyera led them toward the main Gardens. Other animals joined along the way.
Monkeys, foxes, mice, wolves, a platoon of bears and wild cats of all shapes and sizes seemed to be making the same migration. Kyera realized to her own surprise she gelt pulled toward that area. It took several moments to realize why. Her mark, the contract was glowing under the fur of her chest. She could feel its warmth as the power rushed through it summoning her to the circle. No wonder so many wilds were making the same journey, they felt the instinct the magic instilled. The honest truth was, they probably had no idea it was the magic and not their own choice.
