"Wait your turn sonny, a bad servant needs a talking too just like a human one does. So mind your d.a.m.n manners. I didn't become servant to My lord for boys like you to prance onto my property as you please. I'll get you you next!" He barked at him. Veron growled, having not been spoken to like that in a long time he nearly responded but Kyera caught his eye with a soothing smile. This old man didn't know whom he had offended. There was no mistaking the ice in Kyera's eyes. The shadows shook and writhed, odd silken noises seeming to fill the silence between them. Veron knew instinctively not to argue. The sound set him even more on edge.
"What do you mean…She hasn't come here in age….es" He began to curse at the swirling smoke again but his voice was lost as Kyera stood in human form, pulling her long hair over her shoulder as she folded her arms looking at him expectantly. His eyes bulged out, in shock as he watched her pale pink lips curve into a overly sweet little smile.
"Care to try that greeting again, Old One?" She purred smoothing the fabric of the dress back over her body. He stared for a moment before nodding and averting his eyes. Kyera's grace and beauty robbed him of his breath, no matter how many times he saw the Moon Tiger's human form. In woven sack or silk the woman still embodied elegance and n.o.bility. His heart dropped between his knees, his mistake apparent on his face.
"Yes, my lady. Welcome… how can I a.s.sist…" he began to ask but stopped, realizing that if these two were together their goal was perhaps the same. Rather than seem like a total fool, he then looked at the boy "yes of course bring him in hurry now." he opened the door stepping aside. "Put him on my table. We will get him fixed up no time." He added a bit overconfident. Kyera rolled her eyes at his arrogance. If it wasn't for the fact no one else would have antidote readily available….Veron walked in seeing the treatment table nearby he laid him down on it.
"I think he's been infected with a necrosis potion… is it possible you can give him a once over? I think i know what it is but if i'm wrong…" she began as she looked at the bottles on his cabinet. She plucked a few vials and set them on the table. "Look him over, I'll get the ingredients together for the poultice."
"Its been awhile since you've tried your hand at healing… perhaps me taking a look is best." Half eye walked over to the boy and sighed. "His eyes are starting to lose focus. I think the Toxin is wearing his system out." He added tilting the boy's head to the side looking deep into his eyes.
"Is there anything we can do for him?" Veron asked knowing the pain had to be rather brutal. Half Eye scratched his chin for a moment, as if trying to recall something particularly useful. Walking over to a old wooden cabinet that stood as tall as the wall itself, horns of wood curling up at the top to cradle bundles of dried herbs. Pulling open small door in a row of small doors he took a small vial out, popping the cork off. The sweet smelling liquid permeated the air with floral scents and a undertone of wood and musk.
"This should hopefully put our friend here into a comfortable sleep so we can treat him. It doesn't look as bad as it could be though. I do not believe he will die before the night is done. " Half Eye offered as a small rea.s.surance to the two more stressed companions. Kyera nodded slowly.
"That would be a huge consolation if it wasn't for the fact your out of Rose Wood Pearls." Kyera replied looking over the tops of the vials at him.
