"You can cleanse the curse?" Li Luo's words immediately caused a commotion amongst the crowd. Even those who were almost about to go crazy looked at him in disbelief. Yet a trace of hope lay within those tired eyes.

They had already witnessed the effects of the corruption. The lingering fear of transforming into such a creature had gnawed away at their hearts.

That said Li Luo offered a ray of hope for them amidst the darkness. This caused them to no longer be concerned about the issue of the high-grade Foundational Spirit Treasures.

When Zhao Xiuyuan saw this, his eyes turned gloomy. He had originally riled up the crowd to cooperate with him in dealing with Li Luo. However who would have ever expected the situation was upended with just a few sentences from him, ruining the atmosphere he had intentionally crafted.

Furthermore it looked like they were beginning to look upon him in a positive light.

"Then I'll take my leave?" Li Luo shrugged. At that point numerous angry gazes shot towards Zhao Xiuyuan. Li Luo was the last straw they could grasp to save them from the terror that was gripping their hearts. Whether it was true or not, they would only know after they had tried it. Meanwhile Zhao Xiuyuan was clearly trying to obstruct him in this scenario. Was he trying to get them all killed?

The corner of Zhao Xiuyuan's lips twitched. He had originally wished to borrow the aid of the crowd to deal with Li Luo and yet in the blink of an eye, he was now subject to the crowd's fury instead.

Thus his expression turned even more gloomy as he shut his mouth.

Those on Qin Zhenlin's side also glanced at each other. No one expected that Li Luo would turn into the knight in shining armor, ready to deliver salvation to those in need.

That said they didn't speak their minds either. Although they were unwilling to see Li Luo winning the favor of others, if he could truly purify this curse, then they could only hold their noses and forcefully accept it. After all, this was a matter that concerned their lives.

"Purifying the curse definitely can't be done by me alone. I'll have to join hands with her." Li Luo pointed at Jiang Qing'e beside him.

This was in stark contrast to how they had attempted to extort Li Luo and the rest for their high-grade Foundational Spirit Treasures. It almost seemed like these were completely different people.

In anycase Li Luo remained unfazed. He didn't feel resentful that these individuals had changed tack at the drop of a hat. Furthermore, purifying the curse from them was beneficial to him as well.

Otherwise if the curse were to erupt later and they were corrupted, the others that weren't corrupted would be surrounded and attacked.

Thus what he was doing now was to lessen the number of future enemies and turn it into battle strength as a whole.

As Li Luo had these thoughts in mind, he turned towards Jiang Qing'e with a grin. "Sister Qing'e, it's time for us to take action."

Jiang Qing'e lightly nodded her head. In truth she didn't like these two faced rats but she knew what Li Luo was thinking. The World End's River Treasure Domain was engulfed in a hidden plot and they had to use all means to increase their side's strength in order to fight it.

Meanwhile Li Luo arranged the different experts into several groups. There were simply too many of them and they would have to be cleansed in batches.

After which the first group sat before them cross legged whereas the rest formed a perimeter with looks of anxiousness.

This purification might very well represent their final hopes.

If it failed, then it would undoubtedly be a devastating blow to their morale.

Under everyone's gazes, radiant and sacred light resonant power emanated outwards. Within it also contained a tiny wisp of a strange transparent flame.

The resonant power enveloped everyone in front of the two.

The entire field turned silent as no one dared to make a single sound.

However this silence was quickly shattered. As the purification process unfolded, some of the individuals began to let out pained wails and to everyone's horror, large amounts of black moths tunneled out of their eyes which let out unsettling hisses.

The bright side was that once these moths appeared, they were immediately incinerated into ashes by the flame imbued light resonant power.

As more and more of the people in the crowd experienced pains coming from their eyes, the numbers of black moths continued to surge outwards and it sent chills down everyone's spines.

This was particularly the case for Zhao Xiuyuan and Qin Zhenlin. Their expressions were incredibly hideous by this point.

It meant that Li Luo's words had all been the truth and everyone had been afflicted with this curse.

Zhao Xiuyuan activated his resonant power in disbelief, searching through every corner of his body and in particular, his eyes, all in an attempt to search for traces of this curse. A moment later, his expression slumped.

He had found nothing at all!

This meant that this curse was simply too insidious and had concealed itself deeply. He couldn't even find any traces of it, much less rely on himself to purge it.

Qin Zhenlin similarly gave it a try before he gloomily shook his head as he turned towards Shen Yunge. "Brother Shen, are you able to detect this curse?"

Shen Yunge fell silent for a few moments before shaking his head.

Qin Zhenlin frowned as his expression once again turned unsightly. "Does that mean we have to rely on Li Luo? How could he possibly help us?" The group of them had shifting expressions upon hearing his words as well. The relationship between them and the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li was so bad that they might simply take this opportunity to rid themselves of them.

"If it is as Li Luo said, that all of those who had been cursed would eventually lose their minds and turn into mindless beasts of slaughter, then he likely wouldn't sit by and watch. After all, our path of retreat has been sealed and if we can only head forwards and conquer this Other Dominion. If we are corrupted, it would be a headache for the group." Qin Yi suddenly chimed in.

Qin Zhenlin nodded his head upon hearing Qin Yi's logical deduction as he heaved a small sigh of relief.

"However..." Qin Yi then glanced at the group who was being cleansed by Li Luo with slightly pursed lips. She helplessly replied, "Li Luo will probably help us as part of the bigger picture but with his personality, he wouldn't make it easy for us."

Qin Zhenlin's brows jumped upon hearing her words as an ominous feeling arose in his heart. Whilst Qin Zhenlin and the rest were thinking of what to do, Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e continued to purify the curse from group after group.

It was quite a time consuming task as after each round, the two had to rest to recover their resonant power. Fortunately Li Hongyou was supporting them and they were able to persist.

After two hours, the crowd had all been cleansed.

At the same time, the looks of despair and despondency had also disappeared, replaced with the joy of having averted a disaster. Meanwhile they now had looks of respect for Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e.

The curse might have been lifted but no one would know if they would be affected by it yet again. Thus the duo had become their protective G.o.ds in this place.

Li Luo exhaled with tiredness. He had to purify so many individuals with his Greater Heavenly Resonance stage strength and even with Li Hongyou's a.s.sistance, it was still incredibly draining.

He then lifted his gaze towards the two groups which had not been cleansed.

It was none other than Zhao Xiuyuan and Qin Zhenlin's squads.

Zhao Xiuyuan and Qin Zhenlin's expressions twitched upon meeting eyes with Li Luo. Just two hours ago, they might have even sneered at him but the current situation was such that only Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e could help them. As a result they remained extremely wary, no longer daring to provoke them either.

Li Luo gave a wry smile, "The Fairy of Water is the most straightforward."

He then raised a single finger as his voice rang out.

"So long as each of you take out a top-grade Foundational Spirit Treasure, i'll cleanse you."
