Honored Princess Mei’s once-beaming countenance stiffened as she unconsciously balled her fists.

The Emperor paid her no mind and simply chuckled while nodding. “You’re right, that settles it then! Madame Shao is the more suitable choice.”
“Yes, thank you, Father!”
“Very well!”
Princess Shuangfu didn’t dare to linger any further. Most importantly, Honored Princess Mei’s glare was as sharp as a knife. She couldn’t withstand it.
As they exited the Thousand Year Palace, Princess Shuangfu held Auntie Si’s hand, and her legs felt wobbly, almost causing her to stumble.
She heaved a long sigh of relief and took some time to regain her composure.
