A Hero's Multiverse 4 Chapter 3: A Different Kind Of Interrogation

Hearing that Ethen jumps up out of his chair, his chains rattling. ''That's fantastic. Where is he? I have to see him!''

Seeing him act threatening, Romanov already has both hands on her guns. ''You sit back down, will you!''

''f.u.c.k that!...'' Says Ethen now once again p.i.s.sed at the treatment he receives. ''... I answered your question, now you have to answer mine!''

Conce again playing the bad agent, Natasha says. ''You are not in the position to demand anything!''

Having enough of this drama, Ethen simply snaps his chains in one simple motion, as Black Widow is drawing her guns before she knows what's going on, she is surprised to find herself already airborne, as she is thrown against the interrogation rooms ceiling. Being slightly dazed from the impact, her fighting instincts immediately kick in and she wraps her legs around Ethen's neck, as she does, her brain registers a second surprise. Finding herself in utter disbelief, she is unable to flip the man over.

Feeling hands like iron shackles pin her into place, Natasha knows that she is beaten. Adding insult to injury she hears Ethen say. ''Damm woman you should work in a circus!''

''Let her go, Ethen!...'' Natasha hears Fury, knowing that she f.u.c.ked up. Having fought alongside seemingly almighty heroes like Thor and Hulk, only now it dawns on her, that she is nothing like them. ''... Please.''

Having shown off only a very small portion of his powers, Ethen is more than satisfied with the result. Letting Romanov fall to the floor, having established his dominance over her, he tells Fury. ''Okay, but only this time!...'' Sitting back down into his chair, crossing his legs as if nothing happened. ''... Now, this little unpleasant misunderstanding aside, let's talk about your people's situation, shall we!''

Still, a bit stunned how fast the man, -No Superhuman- was able to not only disarm but also incapacitated one of his best agents, Fury sits down next to this Superman, asking. ''Situation?''

''Yes, situation!...'' Ethen states, eyeing Agent Romanovs perfectly shaped behind, as she gets up from the floor. ''... I get it, you fear me. Not only am I a mystery to you, but I am also something you can't control... People fear what they don't know, can't control and are incapable of ever relating to!''

''Oh, I see...'' Fury says rubbing his chin, contemplating. Not only was the man right in every aspect of his statement, but he furthermore seems empathetic to Fury's situation. ''... Since you were able to so accurately describe the current problem, you surely have a solution for it!''

While Ethen is reverse interrogating Fury, a certain skull finds himself handled roughly, as he is transported from the ma.s.s graveyard outside of New York to the shield facility where Ethen is.

''f.u.c.k you!... s.h.i.t is this how FedEx transports packages labeled fragile!... Hey, mean looking, lady! I want to talk to your superior!... Even as a head I still have rights as a Canadian citizen, if not as an American one!... Hey, hey I am talking to you guys!'' Wade's voice can still be heard outside of the suitcase Agents May and Ward have put him in.

Seeing the facility come inside, May tells Ward. ''Finally! After we have fulfilled this mission, I never want to hear this annoying voice ever again.''

Holding the suitcase containing the annoying skull, Ward confesses. ''Me, too. This guy just rambles on and on... I think I will hear his voice in my nightmares!''

''It's not that bad...'' Says May, as they stop the car. ''... And here we are. Hand him over to the first coat you can find and the job is done.''

Shortly after being handed over to the first scientist agent Ward was able to find, Deadpool's still very talkative head ends up in a laboratory.

''Incredible, simply incredible...'' Comments Professor Selvig, coincidentally the scientist Agent Ward handed the skull to when coming face to face with a very messed up looking Deadpool. ''... despite the lack of blood circulation or a body for that matter, his cells are regenerating.''

''If his cells are regenerative as you say they are, why hasn't the rest of his body regenerated itself already?'' Asks Dr. Simmons, a.s.sisting Selvig.

Before the Professor can answer that question the laboratory door is pushed open and am embarra.s.sed looking, Agent Romanov, comes in, asking. ''Is that the talking skull brought in?''

''Hey there Natasha. Regretting dumping me already?'' Asks Deadpool, simply going with the double innuendo of his words.

Hearing the skulls sarcastic words, Natasha gnaws her teeth and simply ignores his words. Taking the skull between her hands, she carries him out of the laboratories and to the interrogation room, where Fury and Ethen are still talking.

''Ah. You lady have very cold hands...'' Deadpool comments, displeased with the ladies handling of him.

As Romanov carries the merc with a mouth into the room, Ethen and Fury seem to have come to an understanding, as they are currently shaking hands, saying simultaneously. ''Deal!''

Angry for not being included in the deal his benefactor had struck with the Shield Director Wade says. ''Hey no deals are made without good old Lawyer Pool looking over the fine printing!''

Taking the head from Romanov, Ethen whispers into Natasha's ear. ''I think short blond hair would suit you far better.''

''Dream on loverboy!...'' Black Widow whispers back at him while shoving the still tight at him while stating with a smile. ''... Next time I will aim for your b.a.l.l.s, not your head.''

Shooting a charming smile that goes right to her heart, Ethen says. ''Good to hear that you can hold your own.''

''Oh, come on guys! Take a room and f.u.c.k this out between the two of you!...'' Shouts Wade, unhappy to find his face pressed into Ethen's ten pack of stomach muscles. ''... It is just mean to flirt in front of a guy that can't get an erection, cause of lack of a torso... Maybe I should do a B.J. Blazkowicz. I guess the Jackman can let me 'borrow' his body from the neck down.''

Not the least bit embarra.s.sed by his guides nonsensical ramblings Ethen tells the once again speechless Nick Fury. ''Just ignore him...''

As he says that, the silver ring on Ethen's middle finger suddenly shows a golden symbol very much like the one of the Green Lanterns, but at the same time totally different.

Placing Deadpool down on his chair, Ethen touches the golden lines of his ring. The moment he does, a shimmering blue gate suddenly appears, replacing the door in the door frame.

''Now you did it! You have broken the universe!'' Shouts Wade, before the gate has stabilizes itself and the pace behind it is revealed, when the blueish fog covering its surface has vanished. Behind the gate, Ethen and the rest can see right into the temple, Deadpool's headless body still kept in place by the white roots.

Looking at Fury and Romanov, Ethen tells them, while taking the skull from the chair. ''I guess we will see each other in the near future. Just remember our deal when the time comes.''

That said, Ethen, carrying Deadpool walks right through the gate. The moment he has stepped through the gate instantly closes, as Professor Selvig comes in, pushing the door open, that is now back inside the doorframe. ''Director Fury, Director...''

Needing some time to process what he just witnessed, Nick Fury puts his questions aside, for now, returning back to his strong, take charge, imposing bearing. ''What Professor Selvig?''

''The skull Agent Romanov just tool from the lab shouldn't exist!''

Seeing distress in the man's eyes, Furry tells him and in part himself. ''I know, talking severed heads aren't what you would want to call scientific possible, but weirder things have happened.''

''Yes, I get that! But the man, whose DNA aside from the inactive X-Gene matches perfectly with that skull is still alive! And his name is Wade Wilson!''
