A Hero's Multiverse 2 Chapter 1: A Heroes Arrival -Battle Of New York-

In midst of a raging war, Black Widow, aka Natasha Romanov walks up the CMS machine containing the Tesseract that powers the portal that allows Lokis forces in form of Chitauri and gigantic Leviathans to invade earth. Looking over the rooftop of the Stark Tower, she finds Professor Selvig, slumped down, weakened, looking desperately at her, while explaining. ''The Tesseract's energy is firing towards the portal, gaining in strength, at the surge of energy moving through the sky.''

Looking from the sky to the Tesseract and that to Selvig, Natasha asks. ''Doctor?''

Seeing the women questioning look the Professor explains. ''Loki's scepter, the energy... the Tesseract can't fight. You can't protect against yourself.''

Having a first clue of what to do, Black Widow knows what to do next, but seeing the mans guilt written all over his face she tells him. ''It's not your fault. You didn't know what you were doing.''

Now wanting to let go of the feeling of shame and guilt Selvig tells her. ''Well, actually I think I did. I built in a safety to cut the power source.''

Full understanding finally dawning on her she says. ''Loki's scepter!''

Nodding in affirmation, the man looks down. ''It might be able to close the portal...'' As he looks down, seeing the golden scepter, he tells her. ''... And I'm looking right at it!''

Following the Professors line of sight, Natasha instantly spots the scepter and starts running in its direction to get it. Doing so, she keeps her eyes on the sky. There she sees Thor riding on top of a chariot, smacking several riders with his hammer Mjolnir. As Thor takes the chariots reins, a chitauri leviathan suddenly comes crashing through a building, knocking him down to where Captain America and the rest are is, fighting off incoming chitauri soldiers.

As she is about to reach the scepter, Natasha sees Tony Stark flying right next to them leviathan and aims his laser booster at it, without doing any noticeable damage to it. Speeding up and in front of the monster, Tony does a complete one-eighty and flies directly towards it, as he unleashed every weapon in his suits a.r.s.enal. Purely coincidentally the leviathan actually opens his mouth, allowing Iron Man to fly straight into it. Seconds later, he bursts out the other end of it, letting the creature finally collapse to its death. Slamming hard onto the street below it. The wind is instantly knocked out of him.

Looking up after hearing a loud warcry, Natasha witnesses an overwhelming sigh, as a small band of chitauri soldiers flanked by a group of leviathans rush out of the portal, holding out their rifles.

Taking the scepter, Natasha returns to Professor Selvig, who by now is back in scientist mode, typing away on his laptop.

Seeing her, scepter in hand, he nods. Grabbing Loki's scepter in both hands, Natasha slowly pushing it into the force field surrounding the Tesseract, steadily breaking it, as she almost touches it with the scepter.

''I can close it! Can anybody hear me? I can shut the portal down!''

Over her headset, she hears Steves Rodgers aka Captain America and Stark have an argument.

(Rodgers) ''Do it!''

(Stark) ''No, wait!

(Rodgers) ''Stark, these things are still coming!''

(Stark) ''I got a nuke coming in, it's gonna blow in less than a minute. And I know just where to put it.''

Hering Stark says that she sees him catching up to the incoming missile, grabbing it from behind and gripping it tightly. With a mighty effort, he wrenches the rocket off its course. Steering it from behind, he accelerates quickly, flying straight up into the sky, towards the portal.

Looking up into the sky, Natasha holds her breath as she watches Iron Man fly up to the portal, as he climbs higher and higher over the city, gaining speed until suddenly he is gone and his communications instantly die.

With some luck, she is able to see him daily falling back down through the portal's opening. As he goes the missile hits something and a gigantic implosion occurs, creating a spectacular supernova.

Suddenly, all the invaders from the soldier to leviathan keel over and begin to shake, then abruptly stop moving. They all fall over. Still looking up to the portal, Natasha is unsure if Stark will make it through in time. Still holding the scepter in hand, she shifts around, waiting, whispering. ''Come on, Stark...''

(Rodgers) ''Close it.''

Following Caps command, Romanov does as she is told. Pushing the scepter at the Tesseract, the portal instantly starts to close, as sparks of lightning escape the force field. Without any hesitation, she pulls the scepter out and the Tesseract instantly turns off the energy beam. With the beam gone the portal quickly begins to close.

Seeing two figures hurled back into the open, now closed portal. She instantly knows that one of them is Iron Man. As both figures are plummeting down to the earth, Black Widow starts to beath again, not knowing, that she was holding it back in the first place.

(Fury) ''Agent Romanov one of the two figures coming through the portal is Mr. Stark. I want you to find whatever also came through. I am sending you the impact coordinates as we speak.''

''Understood Director Fury. I am on my way.'' Answers Natasha, checking out the coordinates on her suits wrist display. Spotting a chitauri carriage nearby, she hands the professor Loki's scepter, before taking the carriages rains. Stirring the chitauri tech in the right direction, she reaches the path of destruction created by the second figure. Following the path through three skysc.r.a.pers, to the impact zone. Seeing a figure move in the center of the crater, she instantly raises her gun, while directing the carriage to land nearby.

Feeling dizzy, Ethen feels relatively fine, considering the distance he fell before slamming right through the buildings in his way. Still holding the now burned head in his right hands, he is shocked to find parts of the mask torn apart, revealing a rotting skull beneath it.

''s.h.i.t! That guy truly stinks to high heaven!'' Ethen shouts out loud, throwing away the skull in disgust.

''Hey, hey that's not very nice. Is this the behavior I, your tour guide can expect from you?!'' Ethen suddenly hears Deadpool's annoying voice coming from the rotten skull he just threw away.

Reclaiming the skull out of a small pile of rubbish, he now finds a no less rotten skull, with eyes full of life.

Face to face with Deadpool's severed skull, Ethen is surprised to see and hear the already decaying mouth to be able to produce sounds. ''Never seen a talking skull, didn't you, brother?''

''Just shut up, Skull...'' Says Ethen, already once again annoyed by the guy. Looking around, he asks the skull. ''... You want to be my tour guide then guide me... Where are we anyway? This place looks pretty similar to Metropolis.''

Seeing the scenery the skull starts explaining. ''From the skyline and the grade of destruction, I would say that we are in New York, early 21 century if I had to guess Battle of New York. The Avengers first a.s.sembled battle against Thor's brother Loki and his army of chitauri...''

''Who are you?'' Is Ethen's first reaction, seeing Natasha covertly sneaking up on him.

Seeing her cover already blown the women instantly stands up, pointing her gun right at him, shouting. ''Natasha Romanov, S.H.I.L.D. Agent. You are under arrest, on your knees!''

Not wanting to make a bigger mess out of his arrival than necessary, Ethen does as instructed. As the woman closes in on him, he appreciates her choice of clothing, seeing that her black catsuit perfectly accentuates her hourgla.s.s shaped figure.
