Perhaps it was that Pei Yiheng's manner was too overbearing, but Lin Xihe quickly recognized him even though she was tipsy. She pushed his hand and stepped backward. "Thank you, Mr. Pei."

Her distant att.i.tude gives the impression of rejecting others for thousands of miles. *1 (TN: This star and number are for after-notes beneath the chapter.)

Pei Yiheng was convinced she didn't understand that the more beautiful she was, the more she distances herself, the more that men would desire to see her. Because at this moment, he also has such a desire. 

"I'm leaving first. Bye." Lin Xihe with a small nod, turned around to leave. The next second, she let out a cry of alarm.

It turns out, Pei Yiheng had grabbed a hold of her wrist and pulled, making her fall back into his embrace.

"You-" Lin Xihe frowned at him, wondering what he was doing. Her question came to an abrupt end with him unexpectedly leaning over her.

She tried to back off, but his arms completely blocked her path. She reached out to push him away, but both of his hands held a firm grip around her wrist, preventing her from moving. (TN: Yo, this is kinda sketchy…)

"Such a small and delicate waist." He uttered this sentence, before pressing his thin lips against Lin Xihe's mouth. *2

Realizing she couldn't escape, Lin Xihe stopped struggling and only looked at him with narrowed eyes.

Both pairs of lips were soon entangled. But, suddenly he let go of her hands and tidied his clothing. Stepping back, he fixed the lapels of his jacket: "Be careful. It'd be a pity if Yangcheng's number one beauty had her face become bruised and swollen."

After that, he left steadily, restoring his elegant image of a n.o.ble son. Almost as if his previous actions had been a complete illusion. He can't be compared to those common hooligans!

Lin Xihe exhaled, hurriedly walking back to the karaoke booth. Fortunately, on the way back, she didn't stumble again or meet another person with bad intentions.

As if he didn't understand Shui Nen's comment, Guo Chuhan just smiled faintly, his eyes still filled with only Lin Xihe.

When He Qianyu ate something, her eyes darkened, flashing with an indignant light. She was not willing to lose!

Shui Nen places the microphone in both of their hands. "I still remember when sang this song for the first time in University, it amazed everyone present! 

It was at the students' a.s.sociation's welcoming party, and some people said that President Guo Chuhan sang the song well, and Shui Nen revealed that Lin Xihe also sang well, so everyone asked them to sing a song together. Unexpectedly, their voices were breathtaking to the people present.

"My throat's a bit sore today, how about we let Qian Qian do it? Qian Qian's also good at singing." Lin Xihe provided He Qianyu with the wheat, now it's up to her to bake the bread.*4

*1: This essentially means that her vibe gives others the impression that she doesn't like being around other people.

*2: This phrase 'Such a delicate waist', actually would directly translate as 'It's the waist of the Chu Palace'. This is based on the Chu king really liking women with tiny waists, therefore all his concubines tried their best to lose weight. Or something like that, I read it on Baidu.

*4: Footnote: The raws only said 'Lin Xihe provided He Qianyu with the wheat', I'm only guessing that 'it's up to her to bake the bread' is the rest of the metaphor. Essentially saying she gave her the opportunity, it's up to her to make something out of it.
