After being shocked for a while a sense of happiness coursed through Hayley when she saw Caleb standing there. She just lunged towards him and hugged him. It had been a long while since Hayley had seen Caleb. For some reason unknown to her he had started distancing himself from her it felt to her that there was some cold war going on between them but now he was standing right in front of her smiling. She didn't know why but she just felt like hugging him and before she could think much her body reacted on her own.
Caleb had been driving home from work, he had started working in his father's real estate company full time. He was trying really hard to stay away from Hayley and treat her as his best friend's girlfriend but no matter how hard he tried he was not able to control his emotions so he started to ignore her in every possible way. He was being quite successful in his pursuit but he didn't knew why today he was missing her way too much it was like something was pulling him towards her and before he knew it he was standing at her door ringing the doorbell. Caleb expected a long lecture or a silent treatment form Hayley but he never imagined in his wildest dream that she would hug him like that, like literally jumping on him.
Now Hayley had a broad smile on her face and she welcomed Caleb in and closed door behind him. she asked him if he needs anything to drink to which Caleb replied that he knows the way of kitchen which means that he was going to make tea for both of them. Hayley typed a mail on her laptop while Caleb was in kitchen making tea and snacks for them. Caleb had missed this and how much he missed this now he got to know that when he was standing in the kitchen. When Caleb put the tray filled with snacks and tea down Hayley looked up from laptop screen and smiled at him, that smile which Caleb missed the most what the h.e.l.l was he doing trying to stay away from this girl. What was wrong with him and how does it matter if she was with him as his girlfriend or as his friend it was only important that she was in his life. Hayley waved her hand in front of Caleb when she saw him s.p.a.cing out, Hayley's action stopped Caleb train of thoughts and he smiled at her and took his seat right in front of Hayley.
"What happened?" Caleb asked Hayley. He didn't know why he felt like asking her this and he thanked his stars few minutes later when Hayley started to pour her heart out to him. Hayley also didn't know what happened to her just the moment Caleb asked her what happened with concern in his voice she felt like a dam inside her broke and words and tears both come tumbling out. When Caleb saw Hayley crying something inside him broke and he just hugged her. He heard her complaining about some issues happening in her family then he heard her talking about Aaron and her not being able to be with each other as often no matter how much they try and how she saw Rachel hugging Aaron today. When Caleb heard about Aaron and Rachel's incident something inside him boil he felt like tearing something apart. That woman once messed up Aaron so much that they had nearly lost him and she was back again to create havoc in his life again but this time Hayley was also going to suffer and he wouldn't allow that. He let Hayley go because he thought she would be happy with him but now he felt like he need to talk to Aaron again. He felt that his decision to meet her today was right it was a good thing that he came back.
