A Warrior's Path 70 Chapter 70. Training Begins

Sarutobi is the strongest Kage. Any village would think twice before they did anything that would start a war against that man. All these villages could do was to make some sort of transaction with the leaf in return for Ryu's aid.

While the world was cooking up ways to have Ryu aid them, he was relaxing near a brooke. He looked at the clear skies, wind gently caressed his face as his hair danced to its rhythm. Any girl seeing Ryu like this would have stars in their eyes.

Currently Ryu was waiting for Hinata to show up. He originally wanted to meet up at the training grounds but he thought it would be nice to relax a bit so he asked Hinata to meet him here.

Naruto met with Jiraiya like in the anime, one thing led to another and now he is training with that perv. As for Sasuke, he was taken by Kakashi to perfect his Plasma style as well as his lightning Jutsus.

Ryu was enjoying serenity of nature when he sensed someone coming.

Hinata was discharged from the hospital next day. Ryu told her to rest for two days so she took a couple of days for rest and get in optimal conditions. She walked upto Ryu and greeted him

" Good morning, Ryu san."

Ryu opened his eyes and said " Same to you Hinata. So you ready."

Hinata nodded firmly. Ryu got up, he asked Hinata to display her techniques. Ryu watched carefully as Hinata performed each technique she knew.

A few minutes later, Ryu said " That's enough Hinata.

From what I saw..... your techniques are crude. It's like you are forcing yourself to perform these moves.

Simply said, you are not fluid enough."

Hinata was confused " But, I have trained in these techniques for years. They are all I know."

Her voiced cracked at those last words. Ryu understood how she felt. To have practiced for so many years and yet not having any achievement..... it is sad.

Ryu said " Hinata, it's not that you don't have talent. it's just that..... how do I explain this?...

Ah yes, you have seen people's handwriting, right? A sentence written by different people will have different styles.

You are the same. You have talent but.... you don't follow your heart. You always hesitate. Hinata remember, human beings reached this point by exploring.

Our race weren't strong from the start, we tried again and again , tried many things, had many failures but we never gave up. So don't ever give up."

Ryu smiled gently towards Hinata.

Hinata was overwhelmed when she heard Ryu. She cried, she was always pushed away because she was not strong enough. No one except Naruto encouraged her, even her own father hated her.

Ryu patted her head " So don't worry, you will get strong."

For the rest of the day, Ryu taught her a style that suited her best. Martial arts is broad, there is a vast variety of styles that suit women. Ryu went through navii, finally he selected something created by a female nun ' Wing Chun '.

Wing Chun focuses on softness while retaining the power behind each attack. It is based on reflexive movements, training you to respond instantly and instinctually to a surprise attack.

Wing Chun uses the structure of the entire body to create power in a small s.p.a.ce. Moreover Wing Chun turns on like a chainsaw and doesn't stop delivering damage until the a.s.sault has been effectively ended.

This style is similar to the Hyuuga Eight Trigrams Palm techniques but instead of a particular technique, this style is completely made of never ending attacks while defending. It's on a completely different level than Hyuuga's hand to hand combat techniques.

Ryu taught Hinata Wing Chun. She loved this style. She was never good at attacking chakra networks but this style is completely different. Ryu was amazed when he saw how quickly Hinata learned this style. Her movements were rough but still, in a single day, she was able to perform this style to such an extent.

Ryu thought ' So it is because of the technique. She has a natural affinity towards this one, maybe it's because she is inherently kind? After all Wing Chun was created by a women to protect.'

The day pa.s.sed, Ryu told Hinata to rest and think about the forms of Wing Chun. Hinata bowed to Ryu showing her grat.i.tude.

Ryu grinned and said " Don't be like that. After all, you will be my sister in law in the future."

Hinata was confused but quickly understood what Ryu meant. Her face turned red, she turned around and ran away.

Ryu chuckled. He still couldn't understand how that blockhead couldn't see such a pure girl fall for him. He removed these thoughts and focused, as his ability to increase purity in any Bloodline has been spread, a few clans were already trying to contact him.

Ryu thought ' Now, it's about time. '

Few days later,

Hyuuga Residence, Inside the dojo...

Every upper member from the main and branch families were present here with Hiashi taking the lead.

Eventhough the branch family is present, they had no right to speak here. They were simply here for appearances sake.

The topic of discussion is obviously about Ryu and his ability.

An elder from main family spoke up " Clan leader, we need to get Ryu to use that technique on our best of talents."

Another Elder " Yes leader. With our Byakugan we can dominate hand to hand combat, if our Bloodline is purified even further who knows what benefits that may bring."

All important members spoke up, Hiashi listened with his indifferent expression. He listened to their reasoning and replied

" That's good but all of you should have also heard about the after effects of using that ability.

What makes you think he would do that for us? "

All of them were silent. True, they had no connections whatsoever with him. So they can't ask for a favour especially when that technique takes shaves away his lifespan.

Suddenly an elder spoke up " Leader, I heard that Lady Hinata is being trained by Ryu. Couldn't she help? That's the least she can do for the clan."

Others also stated

" Yes, leader. For someone like him to remotely take on a student surely he favours lady Hinata."

" Yes yes clan leader. Ask lady Hinata."

The rest of the main family also clamoured. They kept saying to use Hinata to get Ryu to perform the technique.

Hiashi didn't reply, he just listened. At some point he glanced towards the branch family members and saw many of them clench their fists.

His lips curled up slightly, forming an untraceable smile when he saw the reactions of branch family members.
