What crazy thing did she do again? No, those wounds are not from fighting. The hands of somebody who has trained and practiced with a sword a lot. Lyn does not have to train so much now. As the Queen all she has to do is listen to the elders and know how to manage the country. She does not have to fight on the front lines and can get her people to fight for her. That is what most rulers do, there are many rulers in the Empire who do not fight and simply give orders. But there are some exceptions to that rule, other than Lyn there are a few other rulers who fight on the front lines.

"You shouldnt be drinking though." Lyn commented. "It isn't good for your health."

Rhys lips curve to a smile. "It is a bit too late."

"I suppose so, then let me join you."

Rhys blinked surprised for a few seconds before he nodded. Right Lyn is no longer a child. She is a grown up woman now. He was away from her for so long that he forgets this. It feels like the two of them have returned to the past. Then again if this were the past, he would not be sitting here having a drink with her.

Instead he would be trying other things.

He watched her carefully, she picked up the cup and brought it to her lips. The way she drank look mesmerizing. Each action and movement is elegant. Rhys could not get his eyes off her. What on earth is this? Since when did she look so mature and graceful? 

Back then she was already starting to show such signs.

What is this? He wants to do something to her. This entire time he held back and had self control, but now things have changed. Lyn is so beautiful, he wants to touch her like he did before and hold her in his arms. Even now the memory of the girl's bare skin against his remain fresh. How could he possibly forget it? The first time he touched her, the first time she said yes. 

Her cries and the way she called his name.

Just the mere thought of it drove him crazy. What is she trying to do to him?

"Rhys?" Lyn called out.

He looked over at her, and focused on her lips. So lucious and beautiful…

"You're not drinking, is something wrong?"

"Huh?" Rhys looked down at his cup and noticed it was still full. His thoughts broke off when he saw Lyn extend her hand out. Rhys immediately grabbed hold of her wrist and questioned her. "What are you doing?"

"I wanted to make sure you were okay."

Huh? He looked at her blankly. For a moment he couldnt understand what she meant. When he realized how he felt, he immediately broke out into a panic. Beads of sweat clung to his skin, and he undid his sash. Lyn used this chance to wipe his sweat away with a towel. 

"Rhys you have a fever."

"Yeah."

"Let me call master."

He shook his head. "There is no need, you take care of me." Not only does Ralph have to look after Kazuya, he would rather have Lyn take care of him.

"Alright."

Rhys wrapped his arms around her and pulled Lyn into his arms, inhaling her sweet scent in the process. He missed her so much. He spent so many nights in pain and agony. Whenever something bad happened to her, he wanted nothing more than to rush to his side. But whenever he thought that, he would think of his friend and stopped. Why does he have to intervene, her husband will help her.

IIndeed during that time Rhys thought to help her, he heard the news of Kazuya rushing to help.

When Rhys next woke up, he spotted Lyn curled up in a ball shape fast asleep beside him. A bucket of cold water and few towels next to it, alongside some herbs. Rhys' gaze softened when he realized she took care of him until she was exhausted. He could tell that several hours had gone by since the room was dark. The only source of light was the moonlight. 

He reached over and parted a strand of loose hair from her face.

Lyn is so beautiful… Rhys hesitated for a few minutes before he climbed on top of her. He brought his lips to her neck and licked it. He didn't want to do this to her. Why would he? Lyn is so precious to him, he loves her so much. Why would he do something that would harm her? But ever since earlier, he could not help but look her up and down. 

Rhys did not know how long he spent doing this, but his gaze fell on her now messed up robes.

She is sleeping so deeply.

How come she hasn't woken up yet, despite everything he has done to her? He found this very strange. Rhys pulled away slightly and noticed something. She was sweating a lot and she was awfully red. Wait, don't tell him she tried to transfer his illness to her? He still felt terrible but felt better than before.

d.a.m.n, it seems like she did that. Rhys picked her up and shook her awake. "Lyn? Hey Lyn."

He brought his lips to hers and a bright light surrounded them. The light was weaker than usual due to his physical condition. Soon the girl opened her eyes, she looked at him weakly. "Oh good, you look fine."

"Your so stupid, do you know what you just did?"

"It's okay, you would do the same for me."

Just now he was taking advantage of her and she has no idea. Lyn still sees him in a good light. Rhys suddenly felt terrible. What was he doing to her just a few minutes ago? What sick and twisted thoughts did he have towards her? His thoughts broke off when he felt his weak hand on her cheeks.

"--special." She mumbled.

His eyes widened when he heard those words.
