"Listen up... You might be their favorite right now, but I can guarantee it won't last long. In their eyes you're just a s.l.u.tty play toy for them and that's all you'll ever be. so don't think to highly of yourself sweetheart." She said and I felt the tears welling up in my eyes. I blinked them away and gathered up my courage before shoving her off me.
"There's a reason I've always been their first pick. I just know how to use my head. Figuratively and literally." I said before smirking and swooped up my crutches then walked off. I shoved my backpack into my locker and took out my books. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out how I was supposed to carry my books and make it to cla.s.s at the same time then Jerome walked up to me.
"How are you doing so far baby girl?" He said with a smirk on his lips. I didn't respond. I balanced my books in my arm and slammed the locker door closed. It only took me one attempt to walk till Carrie pa.s.sed by me and shoved me back, causing me to once more fly into the lockers and my books spilled out from my hands. When my head hit the locker I took a second and put my hand on my head, wincing my eyes. Pain was starting to become I real common thing today and my head started to spin, I lost my balance for a second and fell into Jerome who wrapped his arms around me to catch my body. Jerome stood me up right and he kept his hands around my arms for balance and is squeezing on the arm I fell on a couple minutes ago had inflicted even more pain, I pulled it away and rolled my sleeve up, and a bruise stretched all along my forearm.
"Oh my G.o.d, you're a walking disaster today Paris.." He said, pausing. Then he scooped me up in his arms.
"Jerome what are you doing? Put me down!" I said, squirming around before his grip tightened.
"You're going home. I don't care what you say, But I'm taking you home." He said while looking down at me with a stern look.
"Ok well at least let me walk... This is embarra.s.sing and now rumors are going to spread..." I said, avoiding eye contact. He didn't say anything after that, but he didn't put me down either. We both just continued in silence and then Jerome dropped me in the pa.s.senger seat of my truck, and swiped the keys out of my back pocket where his hand lingered for a little too long. The normal ten minute drive, felt like an hour. We sat in a tense and uncomfortable silence before parking in the drive way and I hopped out of the car, forgetting about my ankle and I had never grabbed a door quicker in my life. I looked around my truck and couldn't for the life of me, find my crutches, then I remembered I dropped them at school. Well s.h.i.t. Jerome started making way to me and I did the first thing I could think of. I grabbed out my house key and started hopping to the front door. When I got to the four steps onto the porch, Jerome had quickly shot down this idea and latched an arm around my waist and easily carried me up like I weighed nothing. Then he set me down and took the key out of my hand and opened the door.
"To your room. Now. And sleep." He said, pointing inside the house.
"Excuse me? You're not my father." I snapped and he just looked at me, and I knew I f.u.c.ked up.
"In. The house. Now." He said once more and I obliged without hesitation. His arm flew out in front of me, bringing me to a halt, and I was stuck between him and the wall again.
"Look... I don't want to do this when you have a broken ankle and all, but I'm already having to restrain myself and I don't think you're aware of my struggle ok? So if you'd please stop giving me reasons to bend you over right now... I'd appreciate it very much." He said before his face came down, real close to mine, and I could feel his breath on my lips. He stayed here for a couple seconds.. Then his lips landed on mine. Sparks shot through my body, and I felt my chest tighten, and his warm tongue flicked over my lip, asking for permission. I denied it. I was going to tease him. And I was going to have fun with it, or so help me G.o.d I'm not Paris Sanders. My hands landed on his chest as I barely pushed him away, just till our lips weren't attached anymore. I smirked and hopped to my bedroom then closed the door behind me. Then the heat came to me. My cheeks flushed red and I jumped onto my bed, burying my face into my pillow, saying random things with my voice m.u.f.fled against the comforting softness.
"Ever heard of locking a door?" Jerome's voice sounded through my room and I flung around, chucking my pillow at his face but he sadly caught it.
"Tsk tsk tsk. You're being a brat baby girl."
