Who Moved My Mountain Chapter 17 Part1

        After doing this, Yun Rong exposed a smug smile, rejoicing in another's misfortune1. When Zhu Ming Si happened to pa.s.s by her, she recalled how in the rooftop he talked to her about feudal superst.i.tion. Turning her eyes, she called out: "Uncle2 police, tomorrow at five in the morning you will receive some good news."　　

　　Based on Wu Song Ya's memory, when running into a police officer, you called them uncle police. Yun Rong thought that calling them this way should not be wrong, right? However, she always felt that calling this human standing in front of her eyes in this way was a bit too cheap for her.  

　　Zhu Ming Si was distracted and was about to ask her what kind of good news when his colleague called him over. He promptly got into the police car and momentarily put Yun Rong's sentence at the back of his mind, thinking that it was just a young lady's joke.

　　After Zhu Ming Si left, the crowd that was standing around and watching the excitement gradually dispersed. Yun Rong turned around and immediately caught sight of Liu Wei standing behind the bright lamp of the clubhouse's billboard. He was sticking his head out as he looked around3 at the situation outside with his mouth slanted and wearing a silly expression. Then he walked towards an alley not far from the clubhouse. 

　　Yun Rong narrowed her eyes and thought of going after him to drop by for a visit. But then she decided to not chase after him and instead, give him the same kind of treatment as Jiu Hong Mei just now. She flicked her fingertips towards the direction of Liu Wei and a wisp of green light shot and entered his body.    

　　In the distance, not too far away, Liu Wei was walking and kicking an empty can on the ground in front of him, producing a "bang bang" sound as it rolled. Suddenly, he sprained his foot as he was stepping on the empty can. His body lost balance and he fell, making a "putong" sound.    

　　There happened to be a garbage bin right next to him, and with this fall Liu Wei directly knocked onto the garbage, overturning it with the crash. All the smelly and dirty trash inside fell onto Liu Wei's body.   

　　"d.a.m.n it, so smelly!" Liu Wei jumped in fright and another shower of trash rained on him, causing him to blank out for two seconds before jumping up to stand. His mouth flinging curses: "F*ck! Recently I, this father4 is riddled with bad luck!"

　　His mouth cursed while his foot kicked the garbage bin. At this time, a striped cat suddenly ran out from inside the alley. Liu Wei's anger rose and he grabbed a brick and threw it towards the cat.  

　　"Pei5, a stray animal, what are you looking at!" After he threw the brick, he walked away while shaking out the trash on his body.

　　Yun Rong didn't expect Liu Wei's luck to be so bad. She merely put a little bit of inauspicious energy into his body to invite misfortune, but his luck immediately turned for the worse. Looked like she needn't use her own hands. Liu Wei had done a lot of bad things, so his whole body's aura was not positive. Very soon, he would reap what he had sown6.

　　In the hospital, Yuan Yuan had already finished her bag of intravenous drip and Lu Hua Nian was going to bring her back to the Lu family house. Originally, when Jiang Shu Hua heard what happened, she wanted to go to the hospital to visit. But her daughter persuaded her not to, so she could only wait anxiously at home.  

　　Seeing her precious granddaughter held by her daughter entering the house, she quickly stood up from the sofa and hugged Yuan Yuan. Distressed, she said: "My Yuan Yuan got a scare, right? It made grandmother very worried."

　　"Grandma, I'm fine." Ever since Yuan Yuan received Yun Rong's jade, her previously frightened soul was appeased and settled down. Young children forgot quickly, so in a short while, she was no longer afraid. Facing Jiang Shu Hua, she showed a sweet smile.   

　　"Right, there's nothing wrong with our Yuan Yuan. Yuan Yuan is fine." Jiang Shu Hua saw that Yuan Yuan could speak and smile normally, and her worries were finally put to rest. Smiling and touching her soft hair, she spoke to the housekeeper: "Aunt Chen, bring the dessert here."  

　　Aunt Chen brought the dessert to the table and served it to Yuan Yuan. Looking at her granddaughter who was walking towards the table, Jiang Shu Hua sighed at her daughter: "It's great if she's okay. My heart was in a mess the whole day."

　　So many things came out, all the afternoon news today reported this incident. There were various points of view and various versions of the events. When she heard it, she was overcome with fear and trepidation and almost fainted. If it wasn't for Lu Hua Nian returning her call and informing her that Yuan Yuan was not harmed in the slightest, she might have been sent to the hospital as well.     

　　"Yuan Yuan won't have any after effects, right? Did the doctor say something?"

　　"No, she just had a low fever due to the fright. But now the fever is already gone. We just need to look after her carefully." Today Lu Hua Nian's nerves were taut the whole day and only now  could she let out a relaxed breath. She poured herself a cup of tea while talking to her mother, but her sight never left Yuan Yuan from beginning to end. 

　　While the mother and daughter were talking, a 60-year-old man came down from upstairs. His glossy jet-black hair had a few strands of silver hair mixed in. However, his manner of speech and appearance were imposing. In his hand, he held a miniature wooden house, and his footsteps  were powerful and steady as he came down the stairs.

　　But his imposing appearance was only there for a second. When he saw Yuan Yuan sitting straight on the table and eating dessert, his entire expression turned to a doting one. He walked over and said in a gentle voice: "Yuan Yuan, look at what grandfather made for you."

　　"Grandfather!" Upon hearing the voice, Yuan Yuan turned her head and obediently called out. Her sight fell on Lu Nan Xian's hand and she squealed with surprise at once: "It's the log cabin of the 7 dwarfs! Grandfather, how did you make it so quickly?"

　　"Yes ah, it was Yuan Yuan's wish, of course grandfather will get it done quickly!" Lu Nan Xian squinted his eyes and laughed openly. Then he moved the miniature wooden house in his hand and placed it onto Yuan Yuan's hand.

        Yuan Yuan held the miniature wooden house on her hands very carefully. Hearing her grandfather's words, she refuted: "It's not true. Last time, I wanted a set of Barbie furniture but even after half a year grandfather had not made it for me!" 

1:幸灾乐祸 (xìng zāi lè huò) – lit. to take joy in calamity and delight in disaster, idiom meaning to rejoice in other people's misfortune.
2: Uncle/auntie are usually used to adress to someone of an older generation, no need to have blood relationship.
3: 探头探脑 (tàn tóu tàn nǎo) – lit. to stretch your head and explore your mind, idiom meaning to stick one's head out and look around .
4: 老子 (lǎo zi) : lit.“I, your father”, said in anger or out of contempt, or “I” used in an arrogant way; usually used to curse or look down on people, conveying superiority of oneself.
5:Pei is an onomatopoeia for the sound of spitting, can also be used to negate something (e.g. when someone says sth that brings bad luck)
6: 自作自受 (zì zuò zì shòu): lit.  to act for oneself and suffer the consequence; to reap what one has sown; to make your bed and lie on it.
