"Xue Huan, let me carry the lady. You are not still in good condition."Gong Yan said as he stretched his arm.

"I'm fine now." everyone looked at each other as they followed Xue Huan.

The little boy was left on the yard as his eyes followed Shi Me's hair. But he started to walk also towards the entrance of the residence. When he reached the room, he approached Chen Wei.

"Is she a queen?"

"Who?"Chen Wei asked. The little boy pointed out Shi Mei lying on the bed now.

"Boy, she is far from a queen."Chen Wei answered while laughing. "How could she be a queen. Maybe if she daydreams about it."

The little boy stared at Shi Mei again and recalled his dream.

"Then she is not her. In my dream, what I saw was a lady wearing a crown."

"What did you say?" the little boy shook his head then he walked towards the bed to look closely at Shi Mei.

Wen Zexi was now wrapping a bandage around the arm of Shi Mei with his careful hands.

"How could she do that to herself." the servant uttered as he let out a deep sigh.

"Well, what could be the reason. Of course, she's desperate."Chen Wei said but he was exasperated when he didn't hear any response. Everyone was observing Shi Mei who was now sleeping soundly.

"But her sudden appearance was perfect timing with Xue Huan's condition now." everyone in the room darted their eyes at Chen Wei.

"What? Did I say something wrong again? I'm only saying that what a coincidence." the room was quiet and everyone remained focus at Chen Wei.

"Hey, I wasn't ill-talking about her. I mean, maybe it was not bad to have her here. I admit that whenever she's near, Xue Huan's heart would ease at once."Chen Wei looked at everyone with his sulky expression.

"You mean, she's the remedy of Xue Huan's condition now?"Wen Zexi said as he was not also sure about the condition of Xue Huan. He didn't feel any sign of malfunction in Xue Han's body even the pulse only the beat of the heart.

"Isn't that what you also thinking about her?"Chen Wei asked and everyone shook their head. Then did he just give a reason to keep the annoying lady alive?!

"Then how about trying it?"Wen Zexi said with his determined voice. He was hoping that Shi Mei was the cure of Xue Huan. If not, he must read hundreds of books to find out about the condition of Xue Huan.

While Gong Yan only watched his friends, debating about the lady.

"Fine, let's give it a try. Don't worry Xue Huan, the lady has nothing to do with your condition. After all, she's only an a.s.sa.s.sin."Chen Wei encouraged Xue Huan. While Gong Yan straightened his sword and he slightly knocked on Chen Wei's head.

"How could you say that she's an a.s.sa.s.sin? And as a matter of fact, she saved Xue Huan."Wen Zexi remarked. Xue Huan put his palm on his forehead as he stared at Shi Mei.

"How will we try it?"Xue Huan asked, he was not convinced but he could not deny that when Shi Mei appeared, he suddenly didn't feel the throbbing pain in his heart.

"Let's wait until you experienced the pain again."Wen Zexi said, closing the conversation.

Shi Mei opened her eyes slowly but after her eyes widely-opened, she shut her eyes again. She calmed herself before unfolding her eyes again. She pulled off the thick blanket covered on her and looked blankly at her surrounding.

She roamed her eyes around but she was actually imagining their two-story house, it was concrete built with a mini garden in the front yard. People that pa.s.sed by in their house would smell the flower-scent which they envied it a lot. And her room was medium-sized painted by plain colors, her bed was in the far end with a mini table on the left side of it. In the morning as she walked in their kitchen, her mother would greet her while handing her a mug of milk. And her brother would pop all of a sudden that often made her spilled her drink. Then her father would also enter the kitchen, shaking his head but eventually smiled at them.

But at the blinked of her eye, everything dissolved like bubbles of water.

She found herself inside a house where everything was made of wood! From the rafter down to the pillars, window frames, and the crafted door. And as she thought of living in this house, she might go crazy. She must go back no matter what happened.

"My lady. Are you awake now?" the little boy entered the room. Shi Mei looked straight at the little boy.

"Come on, let's eat."But Shi Mei remained dazedly. But her stomach grumbled as she thought of the food so she got up and came after the little boy. She needed it more than ever.

"Actually this is the room of my master." the little boy said, implying the room where Shi Mei slept last night.

"And this is the room of my master's friends." the little boy uttered as they pa.s.sed another room. Shi Mei remained silent.

"Even this one."Shi Mei touched the shoulder of the little boy.

"What's the time now?"

"It's morning already?"

"Morning?!"Shi Mei exclaimed. She slept that long. No wonder, she could feel her hunger. The little boy nodded as he pointed the other side of the residence.

"Those two rooms are the quarters of servants like me."Shi Mei looked at the little boy, she thought that the boy was so young to be a servant.

Until Shi Mei and the little boy reached the wide-opened floor which also made of wood.

"And this is my favorite place." the little boy remarked with his sparkling eyes.

"Why?"Shi Mei asked disinterestedly.

"This is where we eat."

"Ah."Shi Mei answered but her eyes just glazed over. But she composed herself when he saw the four men sitting already in front of the long square wooden table.

"Anyway, let's eat first then I'll tell you more about my master's residence." the little boy quickly glanced at the lady as he sat on the long square table.

"But why are you suddenly touring me here?"Shi Mei asked.

"Because this will be your home from now on."

"What?!"
