Chapter 31 [The Explanation About Corpse Demon] Part 1

「ShIkI, thAt is…………」

When ones mentioning about  Corpse Demon（Shiki）, though it’s fairly powerful demon, ones won’t meet it that often.

According to Lorraine explanaiton, since Corpse Demon（Shiki） is still in the family of the  Blood Sucking Demon（Vampire）, it’s means that it won’t appear unless made by Blood Sucking Demon（Vampire）.

In order to proofing that explanation, first point is that the Corpse Demon（Shiki）  is not  Gushing Out（Pop）, because the one that Gushing Out[Pop] in relation to Vampire is Low Rank Vampire（Lesser Vampire）.

It’s quite a rare demon.

Even if that’s true, it’s not to the point that no one ever saw them, sometimes they’re appearing in the area dominated by Blood Sucking Demon（Vampire）.

It’s just that the human became one of them by being bitten by Blood Sucking Demon（Vampire）, since the very beginning they’re not born as  Corpse Demon（Shiki）.

「Yeah. It’s because I received the request for subjugating Corpse Demon（Shiki） few times. You and the one who I saw at that time IS-REALLY-SIMILIAR. I’m certain that the condition of your gouged flesh is a bit different but……… Well, it seems you’re from different species」

Lorraine is wxplaining while looking at me who’s showing gesture of failing to understand her question.

「In short. The evolution existance is in simple words, is a phenomenon where a monster is transforming to a superior species. Though the reality might be different, the theory is more or less along that way.  Can you understand until this point？   」

「Yeah」

「Then, try to think about it. Is the superior existance of Bone Man(Skeleton) limited only to  Corpse Eating Demon(Ghoul)？ 」

I feel  that it’s a little strange when I’m trying to think about it.

Since there was a description that I’ve read in some book about demon or study of demon which located somewhere in this room, Bone Man(Skeleton) Will become Corpse Eating Demon(Ghoul), though I didn’t have any kind of question, when I’m thinking about it again……….

Anyhow, to begin it there’s so many existance which is superior to Bone Man(Skeleton).

Yes, even the Bone Giant(Giant Skeleton) which I fought sometimes ago, there’s also the likes of Bone Knight(Skeleton Knight)  or Bone Soldier(Skeleton Soldier) etcetc.

Or rather it’s normal for me to evolving into those from Bone Man(Skeleton), now that I think about it, it’s strange.

No, it’ll give birth to a new question called whether the evolution existance is natural in the first place………. Well, let’s leave that aside for now.

Anyway, when I say about what I think to Lorraine, she’s nodded to me.

「That’s right. Certainly according to that(…………) there’s few research about Corpse Eating Demon(Ghoul) coming from Bone Man（Skeleton）and it’s true but, it doesn’t mean that is absolute. Or should I say, it written like that since there’s witness to that phenomenon, to be honest I really don’t know whether it can be called evolution existance or merely an exception…..」

That’s just too frank right, maybe because ske knew what I think, Lorraine continuing.

「……… But. When that factors are including the current you who became a Corpse Demon(Shiki), this guss might be practical」

「Which means that the evolution existance of demon isn’t advancing toward what we think of them, it’s the advancement of what those demon want to become」

That’s………….. It’s not like I wasn’t understand that theory.

In the first place, that’s what I really want to become when I’m evolving to Corpse Eating Demon(Ghoul)  from Bone Man(Skeleton).

When I became Corpse Demon(Shiki) too……… Seeing it from appearance, I want to become a vampire.

Thus was what the reason is.

But, when it comes to that, there’s still question remaining………

In the first place, since I want to become one, shouldn’t I become one to proof that it was successful.

「That maybe similiar to rank of Adventurer Guild(Guild) right？ No matter how powerful you are, you couldn’t just so suddenly skipping from iron rank to gold rank right. In the first place, skill is a must」

When I hear about the details, each of the Small Rat(Pet.i.t Sul) seems evolving to Wind Rat(Van Sul), Earth Sul(Sol Sul), Water Rat(Oo Sul) , Fire Rat（For Sul）[i].

Though it seems that it was nothing but one individual left in each basket, now I understand the reason.

Maybe it turned that way was because it absorbing each other power by fighting against their fellow Small Rat(Pet.i.t Sul).

But, evolution existance could be confirmed due to that result.

Lorraine say.

「Of course I’m not only using that much as a base for saying that. Though it might be nothing more than adapting to the environment But it doesn’t mean that was a pa.s.sive evolution, it could be happened because the demon themself want to become so？ Though this might seems like leapfrog of logic, I thought of that possibility when thinking about your case. Anyhow, I want to explain that you bacame a Corpse Eating Demon(Ghoul) for the sake of adapting to the environment of Water and Moon Labyrinth. If that’s the case, I can still understand that it happening based on your intention. That’s for the truth about why you become a Corpse Eating Demon(Ghoul). It’s persuasive right……….. Of course it doesn’t mean that it absolute」
