Chapter 1221: Su Ruoqing Was Rescued
....Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
“Well, that’s my biggest wish.”
“Qian Qian, I’ll definitely do everything you want to do for you,” Fu Sinian promised softly.
Shi Qian waved her hand in front of Fu Sinian. “Let’s pinky promise. After a pinky promise, we can’t go back on our word.”
Fu Sinian reached out and hooked Shi Qian’s fingers.
They looked at each other and smiled.
On a deserted island in the sea.
A group of men in black moved around on the reef.
In the distance, there were a few temporary sleeping spots.
Su Ruoqing’s hands were tied in a stone cave.
Her mouth was already peeling.
On this deserted island, without any supplies, there was a limit to the amount of freshwater she could drink every day. She felt that her throat was burning all the time.
“How much money did Fu Sinian give you to make you suffer on such a deserted island?” Su Ruoqing asked these people.
Several people looked at her at the same time, but none of them answered her question.
“You must know my ident.i.ty. I can pay double or even more for how much Fu Sinian gave you,” Su Ruoqing said to them, unwilling to give up.
One of them was holding a sea urchin that he had just gotten from the sea. After prying it open, he dug it out with a knife, grabbed Su Ruoqing’s chin, and fed it to her.
Their employer demanded it.
The woman had to be alive until the mission was over.
Seeing how stubborn they were, Su Ruoqing could only place her hopes on Arthur.
There was something in her hand that Arthur wanted.
She didn’t believe that Arthur was really indifferent.
“There’s a boat approaching!” someone suddenly shouted.
The man who was giving the sea urchins to Su Ruoqing immediately pulled her up.
“Take her to the highest point of concealment.”
Su Ruoqing was dragged towards the dense forest on the island.
She hadn’t gone far when she heard the sound of gunfire.
The gunshots meant that the person who came wasn’t Fu Sinian’s man.
It was Arthur!
Su Ruoqing was excited.
Not long after, there was movement in the forest. A group of armed men walked in.
It didn’t take long before Su Ruoqing was stopped.
Without a word, they pulled the trigger and killed the person holding Su Ruoqing hostage.
Someone walked forward and pulled Su Ruoqing out.
Half an hour later.
Su Ruoqing was sent to the boat.
Arthur sat at the dining table, shaking the goblet in his hand in a gentlemanly and elegant manner.
Su Ruoqing was like a savage. She was disheveled and haggard.
She rushed straight to the dining table, grabbed the food and wolfed it down.
Arthur just stared at her in silence.
After Su Ruoqing filled her stomach, he picked up his gla.s.s and downed the wine in one gulp.
When Su Ruoqing was full, she leaned back in her chair and smiled at Arthur. “Brother Arthur, I knew you would come and save me.”
“You’ve met my mother?” Arthur asked bluntly.
“I have. And she’s alive now, except that Duke Bliss has her locked up in the castle bas.e.m.e.nt.”
The cup in Arthur’s hand shattered.
Su Ruoqing was shocked, and her heart throbbed in pain.
“Su Ruoqing, you know the consequences of lying to me.”
“Of course I wouldn’t dare lie to you. Out of all Duke Bliss’s adopted sons and daughters, I was the only one who grew up by his side. I’m very familiar with the terrain of the castle where he lives, especially the maze of bas.e.m.e.nts. As long as I can get back to the castle, I’m sure I can find the room where your mother is kept.”
