Beast Mutation 27 Ch.25 Inner Area

"Let's go." Josh said that and started walking. They reached the campfire and saw that Jessica and Ron were already eating their food.

"Oh! You are here, come sit down and eat." Jessica said that pointing towards the food.

Josh sat next to Jessica and Karol next to Ron. "So, what's the plan for the week." Ron said, looking at Josh. "I thought that we should split into a group of two and hunt near the camp." Josh said with a serious face.

"Won't it be dangerous for the other group." Ron said, indicating at Karol. "You don't need to worry about that as the beasts near the camp are quite a week, and it is also more efficient." Josh said, understanding Ron's queries.

"Okay, so who are the members of which group." Ron said. "Jessica and I are going to be group A and hunt towards the right of the camp, and you and Karol are going to be group B hunting towards the left of the camp." Josh said.

"Won't it be a disadvantage for our group." Ron said as he didn't like the group composition. "You don't need to worry about that as you are a long-range adventurer, and secondly, we will be hunting close by so you can call for help when in danger." Josh said with a smile.

"So what will be the loot share then." Ron asked, looking at Josh. "The group will divide their hunt between their members so you should decide between you two." Josh said, pointing towards Ron and Karol.

"Okay, I understand." Ron said that as he didn't have any points to put even though he doesn't like the group composition. Hearing their conversation, Karol was a little bit annoyed as he was being treated as a liability.

After their conversation, they silently eat food. "Okay then, we should be going now." Josh said after finishing his meal. Both of the siblings, then move to their designated position to hunt.

"So, what should be our formation of hunting." Karol asked, finishing his food. "You will be the vanguard distracting the beast, and I will be at some tree to finish off the beast." Ron said without any expression.

"Won't I be at a disadvantage like that." Karol asked, looking at Ron. "If you can shoot an arrow more accurately than me, then we can switch the position." Ron said.

"Okay, then, I will follow your direction." Karol said with an annoyed tone. "Okay, then, let's go and get to our positions." Ron said. Both of them started to search for a beast around the forest.

After a while, they found a boar of a mid mortal level. "You should go and just try to dodge its attack and try not to face it head-on and get it over there." Ron said, pointing towards an area with only one tree. "Why don't you shoot it from here then." Karol asked as the beast have holes in his guard.

"I can't as the beast have a special instinct of danger when they do not engage in any fight," Ron said. Hearing that, Karol realized that he has to distract it for Ron to hit the beast. "Okay, then I will do that." Karol said.

Ron nodded and climbed up a tree the give a vantage advantage to him. After Ron finishes climbing the tree, Karol then walks forward towards the beast. The beast was at least a half size of him with tusk longer than his arm.

After Karol goes in the range of the beast, then the beast picked up his scent and started to run towards him. Karol then began to move towards the designated position while dodging the beast.

"It's good that the speed of it is slow." Karol thought while dodging the beast. After a few minutes, he finally reached the designated position. Just as the beast reached the designated spot, it was shot by an arrow to its head.

After the shot to its head, the beast moves a little forward and just slumped down in front of Karol. "You are pretty good, kid." Ron said, jumping down from the tree. "You too." Karol replied as he was impressed by his shot.

"Okay, then let's put it in the bag and resume our hunt." Ron said, pointing towards the corpse of the beast. Karol nodded and put the beast in his bag. After that, they continued their hunting.

6 Days later.

In the past six days, Karol and Ron hunted a total of 58 beasts, but they only kept their fangs, claws, and fur from the body of the beast as they didn't have any s.p.a.ce for a whole beast.

On the last day, Josh suddenly said, "Hey, why don't we explore a little bit at the inner region of the forest as this is our last day." Josh replied, looking at all of them. "Won't it be dangerous as the beast are stronger in the inner region and are mostly in groups." Karol said as he read about the composition of the beast in the forest.

"Don't worry about that, as we will be only exploring." Josh said, pursuing tone. "But.." Just as Karol about to say something, Jessica interfered and said, "We should go as beast mostly attack those who provoked them."

Karol then looked at Ron as he trusts him more than the other two. Looking at Karol's gaze, Ron nodded his head, signifying he is okay with that. "Okay, then, I follow you." Karol said with a sigh.

"Okay, then let's retract our tent and go inside the forest." Josh said that and started to move towards his tent. Then all three also proceed to their tents and retract them.

After all that, four of them started to move towards the inner area of the forest.
