"He drugged it with wolfsbane." Was the only thing I needed to hear to send me over the edge. I got up and ran up the stairs, Clydes steps close behind me and just as I saw Adrian being forced out of the house by the men my mate had brought, I went to leap for my uncle. A pair of arms wrapped around my waist, catching me and pulling me back against Clydes hard body.

"Lia, listen. I can't have you going down to for attempted murder. Got it?" He said, whispering and rubbing my arms in an attempt to calm me.

"Fine..." I mumbled before he set me down. We both watched my uncle being taken away from the window and when he was gone, Clydes hand landed on my hip and right when I turned to face him, his lips landed on mine and it was like fireworks going off. I instinctively wrapped my arms around his neck and his hands laced together around my waist, holding me against him and also guided me to his lap. He tasted so good against my lips, and I wanted more. I could tell he did too because of how deep the kiss had gotten. When he broke the kiss, he made way to my neck as I tilted it to the side giving him more access. He started planting little kisses along it, while his hands slowly made way up my shirt.

"....." We both looked up at Currin who was standing there watching us with her mouth agape. Both mine and Clydes arms immediately unlatched from each others body and before I could even move off his lap, he stood up and with impeccable speed, grabbed my arm catching me before falling.

"Currin, it's not what it looks like.." I said.

"Ohhh so you're his mistress. I knew my sister was a fox." She then said with a taunting face and I could tell my mate was trying not to laugh.

"What? No! I'm not a mistress, and most certainy NOT a fox!" I barked, a little offended by that comment. Currin smiled mischeviously and shrugged.

"Actually, Lia this is a good time for me to ask actually. And you to Currin.." He paused.

"Since Adrian is an inconsiderate a.s.shole, would you guys like to live with me?" He asked and Currins face lit up before cheering yes. I was a little bit more skeptical about it.

"Hold on a minute, that could juts lead to even more trouble for us. Word will get out that I'm living with you and no one knows we're mates so I'll have to be the new sleezy s.l.u.t of the school who slept her way into the alphas interests, and Currin has never been to school before so she's going to get bullied and s.h.i.t like that...."

"Well Currin is practically my little sister now too and if even a word spoken to her is degrading in any way, they can deal with me. And you, are my future Luna. So no one will be calling you a s.l.u.t if I have anthing to say about it." Clyde will lifting my chin to meet his eyes. A soft blush came over my face when he softly kissed my lips.

".....Fine.." I said quietly and Currin started cheering and Clyde looked down at me with a warm smile then he was yanked from me.

"You're helping me pack Clyde!" Currin said while yanking him down the bas.e.m.e.nt stairs and I smiled while shaking my head. 'Well at least she like him' I thought to myself while walking to my bedroom. I started packing up the few clothes I had, stuffing all the tank tops into a large bag as well as my jeans, bras, underwear, and socks. I only had three pairs of shoes. One pair of heels, a pair of vans, and a pair of running shoes.I shoved them all into the bag and picked up my jacket and walked out of the room. I met the two in the living room and Clyde looked between our bags and sadness crossed his eyes.

"Why do you guys have such a little amount of clothes..?" He asked softly.

"Well we've both been used for abuse since Currin was four and I was seven. I'm eighteen now and Currins fifteen. So we didn't really grow up with a lot. We were lucly to have a bed..." I said before looking down and then wrapped my arms around Currin who's cheerful att.i.tude was suddenly tainted from rembering the years of abuse we both suffered. I could feel my mates anger and the fact he was trying to surpress it so I pat Rin on the back and suggested that we get going.

I dropped my bag ny the dresser in Clydes bedroom before turning to him.

"Are you sure I'm allowed to stay in here.... I don't want to intrude.." I said and my mate walked over to me and held my chin in his hand with his free hand wrapped around my waist.

"Baby, you could never intrude on me. I want you here.. And-" He stopped and his eyes darkened when he looked down at my neck. He put his hand around it and gripped it tightly and I had tilted it back, wincing my eyes.

"Does it hurt?" He asked, his voice deep and serious.

"Yes it f.u.c.king hurts, your grabbing the place Adrian tried to f.u.c.king choke me!" I hissed and Clydes low frol was enough rea.s.surance that my one little sentence p.i.s.sed him off. Not because I was being a smart a.s.s, but because someone tried to suffocate his mate and his grip slowly got tighter till I grabbed his arm and started clawing at it and he had let me go.

"f.u.c.k I'm sorry Lia... My anger just started taking over and I s.p.a.ced out.." He said while rubbing my back as I had hunched over to cath my back.

"It's fine.." I said and Clyde picked me up bridal style and carried me over to his bed. Or should I say our bed. He gently set me down and pulled the blankets over me and then crawled in with me after changing into some comfortable shorts and took off his shirt to reveal his 6 pack and perfectly toned body. We both fell asleep comfortably, my body flush against his, with his arm around me.
