The Alphas Used And Abused Mate 12 Two: Just Wait Little Mouse

I looked over to see Veronica, a belt wrapped around her neck, her hands chained behind her back, and her down on her knees with that idiot Lenny, standing beside her with his hand on her neck.

"Get, away." I growled out, I have a secret care for her... She's my Luna, I couldn't love anyone but her, especially considering she's my mate. The moon G.o.ddess gave her to me and no one else. She did love me once....

*Flashback to senior year*

I had just finished 7th period and walked out of my cla.s.s, Alexi my future beta showed up at my side, his mate Rebecca hanging onto him. We walked down the hall to Veronica's cla.s.s, then that's when I saw my beautiful mate walking alongside her brother as they walked out of their cla.s.s, a small smile on her soft, sweet lips. She tossed her long brunette hair over her shoulder and as she walked, her hips swayed perfectly with her movements... SHE was perfect. I couldn't envision being blessed with any other she wolf. Her icy blue eyes met mine, and her smile grew wider as she ran up to me and I couldn't stop myself from throwing my arms around her small figure, and picking her up.

"h.e.l.lo, my love." I said to her as I could feel the smile plastered on my face. I loved how she would blush at the littlest things, like when I kissed her on the head, or called her my love. It made the moments all the more precious.

"Hey baby." she said, the same blush flushed over her cheeks, as she leaned in and kissed me on the cheek before I put her down and laced my fingers with hers.

"So, did anybody else almost forget that we graduate tonight?" asked Alexi. We've all been best friends since freshman year. Well, at least Becca and Veronica have, I've known Alexi since we were pups, then our friend group expanded when we found our mates.

"Lex, how could you possibly forget that?" Said Aaron, Veronicas brother as he retorically asked Alexi.

"I know, I know," he said as he chuckled.

"We're still doing that pool party at your place, right Xander?" Asked Rebecca.

"Mhm, bring your swimsuits ladies and gentlemn." I responded, which made Veronica let out her sweet little laugh. 'So cute' I thought to myself as I looked down watching her.

Something happened that night, and she was never the same. But, I'll be fair, I wasn't either. If I could change what happened that night I would. I watched as Lenny stood there, before he slowly removed his hand from her.

"And who invited you here?"

I looked up at the vampire who let out his snide remark, and quick as light wrapped my hands around his neck, easily snapping his head off which caused the other two to look over at me. I then met Abels eyes and a mere sliver of fear radiated from my body before I picked up the now corpse of his subordinant.

"I can see we're not welcome here, Alpha Xander. I'll come back later for the girl." Was the last thing Abel said and my eyes went black as I attempted to lunge at him, but he was gone. f.u.c.king vampires and their speed... Pieces of s.h.i.t. I got up and dusted the dirt off my body then turned back to the two and noticed that the cell door was once again open, Lenny must have quickly done that when I wasn't looking.

"My apologies, Alpha. But she came onto me and-"

"And what? You expect me to believe she had the ability to come onto you when she's in that state?" I said, notioning to her current state.

"Well- I- She.."

My anger had began to boil over as my hands quickly clasped around his throat.

"If you ever, touch her again.... I'll snap you're body in half so quick, you're corpse will get whiplash"I said quietly as I dropped him and watched as he crawled away. I then turned to mate and almost collapsed seeing her face. I watched as the tears rolled down her face, and the girl I once knew who was strong, and courageous, sweet and caring, gentle and smart, dissapear. I broke my mate.. I just want to wrap my arms around her and remind her that I'm still here, and that I'll always love her. I knelt down beside her and took the belt off from around her neck, then turned her around so her back was facing me and took the chains off of her wrists then stood up.

"Stand up." I said, and watched her as her figure was still resting on her knees, refusing to move.

"Veronica G.o.d dammnit, I said stand!" I yelled out which caused her to tense, then slowly stand up.

"Why are you doing this... This isn't you. You never would have been able to do this back in school..." She said, and I could hear her choking on her own tears.

"You said... That you would love me forever. But you're just an a.s.shole now!" She said as she turned around, and I swear I could see the hurt like it was bleeding from her eyes.

"I want the old Xander back.... Tell me where the h.e.l.l he is or I swear to G.o.d, I'm gonna kill myself.." Her words made me want to cry as she clutched my shirt and I brought my hands to her wrists, holding them in my hands.

"I had to protect you." I said, as I watched her bring her head up to look me in the eyes.

"What....?"
