The Universe Conspired For Us To Meet 43 A Letter

Sanvi sensed that he became upset. So she tried hard to draw his attention away from her thoughts. "You know what Virat, Maya won the first place for that as well."

Virat's mouth curved upwards in an instant. "Of course who can beat my Maya's singing. She had to be the winner." His eyes was now burning with joy. He hugged himself.

Sanvi sighed inwardly on seeing him smile. She thought to herself, 'It's better I don't tell him the way she gleefully went on-stage to collect the award. And, when the judges gave her the award, how humbly she had accepted it. Later how she had thanked everyone and especially Virat, "I dedicate this award to the love of my life Virat. I'm nothing without him. This is his favourite song." A million stars couldn't attribute to the sparkle in her eyes.' She purposely hid it from him else it would depress him further.

Seeing her not talking anything else Virat chided, "Hey she's my girl. You can't be thinking about her like that." He frowned.

"Virat.. tsk.. tsk.. can't you ever think straight?" Sanvi rolled her eyes.

Virat chuckled and took a bite of his sandwich. "Okay then what happened?" he narrowed his eyes.

Sanvi began narrating again, " Later that night was the fashion show. I must say the fashion show was the best. Many industry giants were present then. Our Maya was the showstopper. Needless to say we topped here too. Maya even won individual awards for her performance. By the end of it, the crowd would go frenzy just on hearing Maya's name. Not only the crowd even the industry majors expressed interest in collaborating with her after college. They'd pa.s.sed on their business cards to her to contact them after college." Sanvi's eyes were twinkling with happiness when she told this

" It was a great night. Our university had bagged most of the prizes in various compet.i.tions. So, we celebrated our victory and partied all night. Since we still had two more days left to come back, we decided on going on sightseeing. Everyone agreed to meet at 8AM in the morning and leave to District D first. Later we came back to our room and slept." Sanvi told him all the details of that day.

Ronnie had finished eating his sandwich. So he took a sip of his coffee now. He told Sanvi also to drink up her coffee since it was turning cold.  

After they both finished their coffee, Sanvi's face turned pale after she remembered what happened next. She didn't want to look at Virat. She turned away and looked outside the window.

"The next day when I woke up," She couldn't bear to continue. She opened her bag and gave him a letter.

Virat drew his eyebrows together and stared at the letter for a long time before opening it.

In that letter was written,

"Dear Sanvi,

        Please go on and leave for District D first. I heard that my favourite actor Tom Cruise is here on a shoot at the foothills of the Himalayas. So off I go to meet him. Probably this is the only opportunity I'll get to meet him so close. I don't want to miss this chance. You very well know how much I love Tom Cruise.

Please please please don't worry about me. I'll join you at district D. Don't forget to get my clothes. I'm just taking Virat with me. Oh sorry, the Mickey Mouse backpack given by him(blush blush). I'm so in love with our dance skirt. So I'll be wearing it. I'll look good know?
