The Universe Conspired For Us To Meet 156 The Worst Had Come

Ronnie turned around and saw a man. Unlike the other men, he wasn't wearing the black attire. He had worn a pair of blue, rugged jeans with a sleeveless brown leather coat on top. His raw, ruddy skin which was heavily tattooed was now oozing out blood everywhere.

The man's bloodthirsty, turquoise-blue eyes was viscous and scheming. His unruly eyebrows was pierced. His heavy muscular, tall body was slowly approaching Ronnie without stopping his hysterical, devilish laughter. Without a doubt he was the kingpin of the terrorist gang.

Ronnie had slumped to the floor to rest. Before he could pick himself up, the man's shadow began engulfing him

Not giving a chance for Ronnie to get up, the man gave one huge blow to Ronnie's forehead.

But, Ronnie was quick enough to dodge it with a swift movement of his leg and sliding between the legs of the man which led the man to slip forward with a 'thud!' as he lost his balance. This led to him injuring his head.

But the man was quick enough to get up and launch himself again at Ronnie who was still trying to get up…

Ronnie had never expected this. He thought the man would definitely need time to get back at him. So, he was preparing to get up and attack.

But then, one moment of miscalculation resulted in the man picking up the iron rod in front of him. He came back and gave Ronnie a huge blow on his head which he'd dodged earlier.

The man hit Ronnie so hard with an iron rod that blood started spurting out of his head almost instantly. His years of training and experience had failed to protect him. He let out a grasp of horror with both his hands on his head. Ronnie lastly looked at the man's bloodshot eyes which was raging with fire before everything blacked out for him...

Jayne who was lying down on her mother's lap had dozed off for sometime. She suddenly woke up with a cold sweat, "Ronnie!" Unknowingly tears started rolling down her cheeks.

Mrs Sona Bhat was worried for her daughter, "Beta, don't worry so much! I feel you are worrying for no reason."

She gave her a gla.s.s of water and continued, "When you were asleep, Ronnie had called up to enquire if you had dinner. He's on the way back home. Do out you worry beta." She lied to her daughter.

"Mama… I don't know why. I feel something's not right….I'm feeling the same since evening.. I just can't explain it…." Jayne was finding it very hard to even speak or explain.

Though it was her mother she was talking to, post injury there was no other person she was more attached to than Ronnie.

"Shhh! Everything is alright beta!" Jayne's mother tried to console her but in vain.

By then the Defence Secretary, Daniel West and  eight soldiers arrived. But they were too astonished to move.

They tactfully encircled him from behind him and successfully captured him.

Daniel West rushed towards Ronnie, "Boss!"

He was shocked to see his boss lying lifeless like that. Never had he seen his boss so weak and fragile. It hurt him immensely. The only person he was worried about facing right now was the Lady boss.. How on earth could he explain this to her.

Amidst all this commotion, what everyone failed to notice was, the kingpin's brother who was also a part of the terrorist gang, had deceitfully escaped from behind when he realised that the police guarding their hideout had left.

He lastly looked at Ronnie, "Mr Ronnie Roy! It ain't gonna be easy for you henceforth! I'll surely come back to avenge my brother's arrest. If this is your end, I won't spare your family either…"

Medical aid came in soon after that. Ronnie was rushed to the military hospital.

Daniel West was scared out of his wits. He didn't know how to inform the Roy's. He's shakily dialled their landline number…

Tring! Tring! Tring!

On hearing the landline ring, Jayne came running down the stairs anxiously. By then, Mr Richard Roy received the call.

"h.e.l.lo?"

n.o.body answered.

Mr Richard Roy frowned.

"Anybody there? h.e.l.lo?" He said once again.

"S-S-Sir. I-I-It's me….D-Dan!" Daniel stuttered sith a shaky voice.

"Dan? What's wrong? Where is Ron?" Mr Richard Roy's frown grew deeper.

Jayne grabbed the receiver from her father-in-law, "Daniel, it's me! Where is Ronnie?" Jayne couldn't wait anymore.

The worst had come for Daniel West. He couldn't bring himself to tell that Ronnie was in the operating room right now battling life and death.
