I am going to meet the prince. Actually, he wanted to meet my younger brother, I just tagged along. I’m here as a line of defence. The prince I’m going to meet could be considered special, not because his looks are otherworldly or his intelligence is outstanding but he is a man especially feared by everyone.

I placed my hands on Ca.s.s’ eyes and covered them while we were following a seemingly old butler into the mansion. I tried to recall Prince Salsael’s information. In all the 6 anime seasons of Ushinawareta Hoshi, he’s part of the supporting characters who’s got little screen time and presence in the anime but even then, he’s got a full character sheet* and it’s got way more details than what a character sheet belonging to a supporting character should have, aside from that, his character description was: Eldest prince but his father despises him so he was kicked out and became the second prince instead. As for his looks…if Haref was labeled as having ‘the purest of countenance’ then it could be said that Salsael has a ‘purely evil’ countenance. This man is standing right in front of me at this moment. A boy with black hair, ruby coloured eyes and dark complexion, it was as if he was created to be the complete opposite of Haref Lancelot.

“What are you looking at. Never seen a handsome guy?”, the little brat was shaking his feet in from of my face. The corner of mouth twitched while looking at this bra…Prince!, who’s in front of me while also covering my younger brother’s eyes.

Salsael aged 13 is someone who’s got jewellery everywhere on his body, ranging from at least five necklaces, three earrings, bracelets…I take my word back saying his father doesn’t love him, this stuff costs too much for someone who only gets a small amount of pocket money, which means, the mansion’s out-of-a-horror-movie appearance was his personal preference?

It seems like I was staring too intently at his necklace, Salsael smiled scornfully, “All the jewelries are in place so, I would not be able to move”. Too heavy to move, is that it? “Huh, just you wait, if I get out…I’ll murder all the members of the royal family.”

Those ruby coloured eyes became more gentle when he looked at Ca.s.s Bedivere…is this what you’d call the discrimination between the protagonist and the protagonist’s elder brother?!

Salsael coughed bashfully, “This child…he’s my sweetheart in the future?”. In your dreams!…I met his ruby coloured eyes, fi-fine I’ll let you. “I’m fascinated by how I can love someone who’s got 13 men in total courting him…I’m fascinated by how I haven’t killed the others yet”, Salsael mumbled like he was irritated with himself…this wild psychopath…”something like all the 12 to-be Dukes and I love the same person?”.

“13?”, I muttered to myself and raised an eyebrow, “that’s not right…there should only be 12, then why…”, from which hole did you crawl up from.

“There’s no mistake Gilbert Bedivere”, Salsael looked up at me and said, “if this is the future I saw then there’s no mistake…I saw 40 routes in total…and 3 out of 40 of the routes is your story and his”.

“Happy End, Normal End and Bad End?”, I flinched…in a BL game, when you choose a character, you’ll proceed with the game and at the end, there will be three routes in total…but Salsael wasn’t in the game’s walkthrough guide…no, this character wasn’t revealed…

In some of the games, occasionally, there’ll be a secret character which players would have to find a way to conquer his routes themselves! The character will not exist in the official walkthrough guide! But most of the secret character’s routes’ guides would lie in the forum, a player-made walkthrough guide!

But when you split three routes for each character, it’ll only come to 39 so, where did the 40th route come from?

Is it the most special of special routes…I looked at my younger brother who’s fast asleep…I hope it’s not a ‘harem route’ or a ‘date route’. Or else I’ll become a serial killer! I’ll murder all of them before they grow up into lads…

“I don’t know what you’re saying”, Salsael smiled, “at first I planned to call for you and murder you right here, someone who’s got the nerves to become my love rival in the future should all just go to h.e.l.l”.

…I forgot I was in the same room as a real life murderer.

“But I’ve changed my mind”, the Prince said tediously, “your younger brother’s not my type, his golden hair reminds me of a bright light, it irritates my eye b.a.l.l.s…if I look at him for too long blood may spurt out”.

If I see you in prison one of these days, I won’t be surprised, what I’m surprised of is how can you not be sitting in a jail cell right now…or is it because of the juvenile protection law that you’re able to live comfortably here?

“You…ummm…so you know that Ca.s.s’ got the power of darkness?”, I glanced at my younger brother who isn’t waking up no matter how loud the voices around him may be, “…and I heard you’ve got the power of darkness”.

When my lil’ bro grows up, he won’t become an a.s.shole like you right? This was what I wanted to ask but I didn’t have the courage to and it’s best if I don’t.

“I know, I can see the future so, why would I not?”, Salsael shrugged, “at first I thought you were gonna ask how I’m still able to use my powers even though they’re supposed to be sealed…”

I flinched, “huh? you can still use magic?”.

“Obviously, do you think that me being able to see the future…hm? Wait, it can’t be…”, he lowered his ruby coloured eyes, ” you think that farce of a ritual could actually make you unable to use magic? Have you tried to cast a spell”.

Haha, now that you’ve mentioned it, ever since the ritual ended, “…I haven’t…”.

“You dimwit!”

Ultimately, Salsael told me to try and create water b.a.l.l.s, which I was able to…and what I received was a ring, which flew and hit me right in my face, making me bawl my eyes out…you brute. Now that I’ve thought about it, if I can use magic then that means…mini Gilbert… My eyes sparkled and I was yet again hit by something thrown by the same b.a.s.t.a.r.d…I’ll drag him to prison one day.

“But…why?”, I was puzzled, “in the sealing ritual…”

“Heh, that kinda farce was created by my mother and younger brother, do you think I’ll let anyone seal my powers so easily? Huh, that was just a hoax so my father could gain a peace of mind then I’ll kill him afterwards.”, Salsael mumbled, “When the ritual ended, I just pretended to scream a little then I holed myself up in a room and didn’t use any magic, that was enough to fool all those idiots. As for the fact that you won’t be able to have an heir…”.

“Do you think anyone will yank a barely-10-years-old-boy’s ‘thingy’ out and test if it still works or not?”

He’s someone who’s got a foul mouth and will get into arguments with anything, even cats. Hates Haref, pukes at the sight of Nigel. He thinks if a character dosen’t love him then it’s best if he’d just kill that character and he applies this line of thinking on his own father. If you compare Salsael to someone from the tale of King Arthur then he’s probably Mordred.
