Chapter 14

The day to go to town came.

I took my lunch in the church and then hurriedly change to dress up.

Unlike the orange flowing dress that I wore previously, this time I chose a pretty blouse, I wore it along with a tea-colored skirt that emits a calm aura. Though these are one of the clothings that I brought from home, I chose clothes that I can move with ease.

Is it fashionable? Just minimal, minimal.

On the other hand, wearing just a simple vest like he always do, it just p.i.s.sed me off that he looks like wearing some high-cla.s.s outfit.

On his neck, the spirit crystal that was given to him hanged. It seemed like after receiving it, it looked like it’s attached to the skin. And as I vaguely seen before, as I thought it was just a mistake.

The sky is clear with a fine sunny weather, the wind blowing my tea-colored hair felt comfortable.

Hearing Reiss say「Let’s go」, we promptly left the church.

Going to town, the scenery of the bustling and liveliness of the capital comes to view.

The serene ambiance of the church was not there, instead, the bustling noise made my heart skip a beat.

It seems the the street stalls and shops that caters on food and beverages has less costumers during daytime. There was a wooden signboard on a shop nearby with food menu, and as attracting costumers was a tiny bell like those on the church was being rang.

Even though this is my first time stepping foot here, as I thought it’s a lively town.

Along the crowd that are walking down the street, you can also see spirits.

I don’t if touching them might burn, but the fire spirits around look like turtles with scorching sh.e.l.ls.

Like Urr who had water-like tail, they’re like swimming about the air like other water spirits.

Wherever you glance, it looks fun.

「Here and there, it’s all interesting, Suu!」

「Yes」

Urr who was flapping his tail excitedly, seems like having fun.

Reiss was walking behind us with distance so he won’t lose us was just silently following and watching us. To be precise, it’s because he is wearing that spirit crystal.

The awkward atmosphere isn’t that much since it was by Roa-kun’s request that we are going out.

Was his heart being cleansed since he can now see spirits?

……No it’s not.

Ma~a, in the end it’s just my imagination.

Since it’ll just turn into a depressing att.i.tude, I’ll just imitate Urr that is raising his guard against Reiss.

「It’s not there, it’s here」

Reiss was pointing out the shops between an alley and a store, it was embarra.s.sing a having called out since I got lost in thought.

As he said that he has some business to attend here, I was just obediently following Reiss.

The brick walls on the alleyway is narrow and sunlight does not seem to reach well, it was dark. Even though I can’t read Reiss’ expressions, I became uneasy as the bustling crowds are getting less and less. (TL: Doki doki, what is this perverted potato planning.)

Finally getting out of the alleway, there was a single shop surrounded by pots.

It was a refreshing two-storey building with a wooden door that a sign written 『Leon’s Drugstore』was hanging.

Drugstore?

After saying「We’re just going to pick up the orders. It’ll soon be over」, Reiss opened the door and entered the shop.

The floor has wood tiles that looks old and made a creaking noise when stepped at. The shelves on the wall was full of medicine bottles and the air brought the smell of medicine to my nose, there are a lot of medicinal herbs hanging on the wide ceilings.

I wonder that it’s just my imagination that these looked like some kind of suspicious medicines.

「Nn? Costumer? Ah, welcome Reiss-kun. It has already been prepared—」

From the far end of the counter appeared another suspicious person with a tattered white coat and wearing gla.s.ses. He has unhealthy pale looking skin and messy hair like a seaweed.

This seaweed person seems the only one around here, and must be the owner, Leon. It seems like Reiss is a regular here and they’re familiar with each other.

「A~re—? Reiss brought a girl. That’s rare. Your lover? Little sister?」

「Sist…..!?」

「……Don’t talk about pointless things. Hurry up and end what I came here for」

Lover aside, I was dumbfounded to be seen as someone younger than Reiss. Even though I’m two years older.

Reiss glared at him like a sharp blade, he just answered 「Alright, al~right」in a relaxed manner and took out a brown paper bag below the counter.

I don’t know what kind of medicine was inside since I can’t see the contents, and my mouth opened wide with the amount of gold payed to Leon-san, which made me make a startled voice.

「E, Expensive…..!? With this amount of gold, I can already buy a small land in the territory…..! Just what kind of medicine is that!?」

「That’s because this medicine is special ordered. Isn’t these stuffs normal—? You know, sleeping medicines—」

「Sleeping medicine….?」

Why does Reiss need something like that? Is he actually insomniac?

While I was tilting my head, Reiss told him to stop spouting nonsense and Leon-san handed over the paper bag. But during moment, the contents inside fell.

A small bottle rolled over the floor went to my feet.

I bent down to pick it, then I saw the character label and a figure of flower drawn, I then muttered.

「Licolla flowers……」

Looking closely at the bottle, the liquid inside has the same colors as Reiss eyes, like that of the red flower.

But, I wonder if there are components on Licolla flower that can be extract to make sleeping medicines? If I’m right, Licolla flowers is used in medicines effective for headaches and rough skin treatments….and also some other things, but I didn’t know it has something that can be used to induced sleeping.

「Ah, do you know? That flower. You can get that in a lot of place. It’s just an ordinary sleeping medicine to Reiss-kun, well I did made some trial and error after preparing it, so I can’t say it won’t work—. That’s why the flower’s effective only for Reiss-kun」

I didn’t notice when but Leon-san has picked up the bottle from my hand. He then handed it to Reiss smoothly.

Leon-san then talked something to Reiss who was frowning before quickly leaving the shop, opening the door quickly.
