He moved the core in front of him and looked down at it for a total of twenty minutes, contemplating how he should refine it. From what he remembered from the Aquatic Pill Forming method, the core required to be around the presence of water.
He then figured that since it was a neutral core with no element present around it, then merging it with water or say fire would help but not be ideal... hence, Zaro studied it a little more until he thought of an idea.
Since plants, fruits and roots all had essence stored within them and if you could transform most plants into pills too, then couldn't you merge the two?
Thus, Zaro snooped around the bushes nearby and picked some hidden plants and placed them beside the core. He looked at them both and then performed the pill forming method but this time focused on the group of materials and began the refinement process.
Zaro was happy to see that his core had simultaneously picked up all of the materials and started channeling essence around the materials as a group and began merging them all together!
While it was enjoyable to see all of the materials combining together, it put a huge amount of pressure on Zaro's mind. He realized that the root he had consumed before had strengthened his body and soul but it still wasn't enough as he was struggling to combine the materials together.
After an hour of refining, he was nowhere close to completion, however, he could feel something different when he was refining the pill. Green sparkles were being emitted from the formation process and were floating around as well as his core sending out two separate rays to refine the materials!
Unfortunately, it had all put a burden on his body as blood was spilling out of his mouth, however, he focused harder by at least tenfold!
Soon another hour pa.s.sed, then two, then three... until he finally formed the pill but his previous mighty aura had reduced significantly, a pool of blood formed in front of him and his fierce eyes looked no different from a deceased person's!
The pill, however, was much different than anything he had ever created! The former pure ruby-colored gem was now half ruby and half green with a separate white gem in the middle of it!
As he was almost about to pa.s.s out, a fixed line of smoke emitted from the pill and in clear bold letters it said 'Enrichened Wolf Herbage Pill'. Zaro had to quickly consume it as it traveled into his digestive system but he collapsed shortly after.

Hours later the group of nomads were traveling as usual through the forest with their weapons in hand, relieved at the end of their misery but saddened at the loss of one of their own.
"Yizar, I had always wondered how we earned the t.i.tle 'Nomads'? I remember in the past we went by another name but soon it changed?" Tauren asked curiously as the grouped moved forward.
"It is true... we were once known as the Aelfs, however, that was generations ago... when we were not looking for our home..." he said saddened, "We, unfortunately, got annihilated by a savage beast known as the three-horned demon drake, it belongs to the darklings race... a cousin of the Elatus. The darklings were eliminated eventually by an unknown force and all of the races were reset to its roots! Some races are yet to be summoned back into this irrational world..."
"So, as nomads, we travel the world looking for something which is long gone?" Gerald had come with the a.s.sumption that that was the reason.
"Yes... although it had weakened us... we didn't have to worry about facing ma.s.s extinction due to us sitting in one place, so, as nomads, we run from the fear of losing everything rather than growing together and fighting our enemies," Yizar said with a wry smile
Just as Tauren was about to speak again, Gerald had signaled for them to stop as he had spotted the same Elatus they had met beforehand!
"Yizar!" he gasped in terror as Lidya casually walked pa.s.sed them with a large deer hung over her shoulders.
"Silence, I will deal with her!" Yizar snarled then approached her furiously while drawing his weapon in anger, "You said you would leave us! I would expect as much from an Elatus," he snarled once more while reaching a short distance away from her.
However, Lidya looked at him straight in the eye intensely for a few seconds and then dropped the deer with its core intact in front of him, "I came to send my condolences... this is a valiant forest deer that I defeated... take it," the atmosphere was still intense, all you could hear were the ruffling of trees and plants and the distant cries of animals.
"I..." Yizar was a loss for words because the Elatus never showed any sign of respect or generosity; especially to nomads! Lidya nodded her head and walked off as if it was no big deal while the nomads were in a dilemma of what to do.
"Thank you..." Yizar muttered but it was picked up by Lidya as her left ear fluttered and a small smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.

*Authors note*
h.e.l.lo,
I messed up a novel again and I've just been thinking how to fix it but I've already progressed so far so, I might just stick with this random scene, random structure until I start working on volume two. I didn't stick with the plot that I had already planned and went full freestyle in college because I didn't have the plot in front of me.
Rest a.s.sured, I've read over what I have already written and learned from my mistakes which may not be obvious for some and will more than likely deal with them in the next volume. This volume will not be rushed by any means and I will continue as planned and just stick to the main plot without having to post 'filler' chapters until I have time to come home and work on this properly.
If you like the way it's going, keep reading! But if you feel like I'm going off track or you're losing interest, I'm feeling determined to make it better so just bear with me for a bit, I'd hate to mess this one up, cheers.
