When morning came, Zaro had decided to continue deeper into the cave destined to find more things. The cave was easy to travel through as the ground was relatively flat and everything was lit up due to the light blue fungus.

Curious to see if the fungus had any properties, Zaro ate it and all it did was make his teeth glow which was not ideal for a hunter.

Zaro continued moving for an hour and inspected every aspect of the cave and kept his senses on high alert at all times. The main reason why he traveled so deep was that he sensed something amazing deeper inside and wanted to investigate.

After walking for so long he eventually discovered an opening behind some fungus which would be unidentifiable by any other creature. Delighted that he finally found something, he clawed around the gap and was happy to see a narrow path separating inside the cave.

Squeezing his body through the gap, he continued forward while continuing to inspect the floors and walls for any more clues. By doing so he uncovered another gap and carefully approached it as his claws tapped against the ground.

Inside the gap was another room! This part looked like it was mined out from all sides by humans in order to create it. Inside there were more scrolls, a desk, and a broken down chair while the place was lit up completely with more fungus.

All of the scrolls further explained the theory of pill forging and some pointed out that you could transform cores into more enhanced pills by combining them with other essence filled items such as plants.

Also, he discovered a technique where you could extract essence from a plant and form it into a pill as well! The technique was rather simple and very similar to the normal method thus Zaro spent a few hours memorizing the technique before continuing his discovery.

The rest of the scrolls were individual reports about every pill created by this person but just as he was about to finish up looking around, he spotted an oddly placed stone in the corner of the room.

Zaro tapped the stone with his paw and realized that the stone moved around quite easily although it was wedged inside the floor. Using his claws he ripped out the loose slab and uncovered a long wooden box.

When he opened it up he uncovered yet another scroll with 'Aquatic Pill Formation' printed in a thick shiny ink on top. When he read through the scroll he realized that it was a technique created to form pills around water. It explained how water was the bringer of life and since it created living things it must have something that the writer called 'Creation Essence' that could evolve pills during the creation process.

Zaro was so excited to learn this technique, although one was required to have hands, he decided to replicate it but using only his core. He memorized the technique by reading it for a few hours and left once he felt that he knew it off.

Through the first gap that he went through, he couldn't find any more rooms and continued further down the gave on the main path. What he needed now was more cores and if his nose didn't lie to him, there should be more cores hiding inside the cave.

Eventually, the light was gradually getting much dimmer and it was a lot tougher to see in the dark. However, thanks to some plants Zaro had eaten long before, his visibility was not too bad.

After moving for so long, Zaro was now surrounded in complete darkness with nothing around him! It was getting harder to breathe but Zaro pressed on hoping to uncover more rooms and also he felt the essence he was looking for was getting very close.

Soon he crossed a stone bridge and heard an underground river flowing beneath him! He continued on and finally found something. That something was a light coming from a fire, curious to see what it was, Zaro's eyes widened and his body froze while his camouflaging ability switched on.

"Who's there!?" A purple-skinned creature cried out, she had long black hair and striking pink eyes and seemed to be warming herself by the fire while reading a scroll.

Zaro didn't move a muscle and stared at her in fear, this was one of the Elatus that Sevilus had warned him about!

She looked into the empty s.p.a.ce before her and said nothing, however, she suddenly heard Zaro gulping which caused her to jump onto her feet and grab onto her spear.

"Come out now, or I will not show you any mercy!" she commanded with a threatening tone in her voice.

In Zaro's head, he felt as if she could detect his presence normally and decided to reveal himself before it was too late.

"A wolf! Get out of here!" she immediately pointed her spear at Zaro's neck but instead of retreating, Zaro spoke out to her.

"Wait! I don't mean any harm!" Zaro said hoping that she would lay down her weapons, however, something different happened.

"I don't understand your language wolf... you must leave me in peace!"

Zaro figured that she only heard wolf-cries when he spoke so he repeated himself and sat down while looking straight at her. It was then he noticed that she must only be around eighteen years of age.

"You don't seem to have any intention of killing me..." she lowered her spear and sat back but never let Zaro out of her sight, "So, why have you come?"

Zaro's real reason was to find more cores but now that he was here he wanted to know what she was reading from the scroll and tried pointing his paw at it.

She looked at Zaro dumbfounded and started calling out things that she thought he wanted to which Zaro kept shaking his head to.

"Okay so, you don't want fire, sleep, food or water... it can't be... this scroll?" When she finished speaking, Zaro nodded his head and started wagging his tail at her while she cautiously pushed the scroll out in front of him.

Zaro opened the scroll up and began reading it to which she regarded as, "Amazing!"

The scroll was another page belonging to the 'Aquatic Pill Formation' and Zaro studied it thoroughly and when he was done reading he looked back up at the woman.

"What do you want?"

Zaro slowly and cautiously walked up to her and he was immediately startled and gripped on her spear tightly. However, Zaro continued walking towards her and lowered his head to sniff a medium-sized back next to her and then retreated back to his original position.

"Perhaps its cores you want?"

Zaro nodded his head once again which shocked her once again.

"Do you... do you know how to create pills?"

Zaro simply nodded his head once again while his eyes were focused on her the whole time. If he could acquire some more experience using his pill formation technique then that would be perfect!

The Elatus woman slid out a regular core from her bag and pushed it towards him. Although it wasn't a fully developed core, Zaro figured that it should be enough to make a pill out of it. Without hesitation, Zaro had begun forming the pill in front of her as she watched with her mouth gaping.
