Chapter 118 - Putting The Blame On Ye Qiao
Ye Qiao was an idiot who would do anything for her. She was an idiot who just relied on her grandfather to protect her! So why was she not helping her again this time?!
"Do you dare to say that it wasn't you who wrote the letter?! It's your good friend, Xichuan, who pa.s.sed it to me!" Haiyang was not an idiot; he would not believe Li Yun's excuses so easily.
She had checked the letter's content and name several times to make sure that it was correct. How could Xichuan send them out wrongly?!
The crowd got bigger and bigger; soon, everyone was aware of what had happened. The girls were gossiping, and the boys stayed to watch the drama unfold.
"I didn't even write those letters! It's a prank from Ye Qiao. If you don't believe me, you can ask Xichuan!" She had no choice but to put the blame on Ye Qiao again. Besides, she would help her as always, right? Whatever the case, Xichuan would definitely help her too.
"Ye Qiao? Do you think we will believe your lies? Li Yun, just stop acting!" Haiyang said loudly.
Xiaotian, who kept quiet the whole time, suddenly spoke, "Actually, it may really be Ye Qiao's doing!"
Li Yun nodded quickly. "It really is a prank by Ye Qiao. You guys know that she doesn't study and loves to do silly things like this!"
"Who said it was me who wrote it?!" Suddenly, Ye Qiao walked out of the crowd. Her voice was thunderous, and her stance was firm; everyone could hear her.
The crowd gasped at her sudden emergence. They had almost believed that it was Ye Qiao's prank. After all, she had done many bad things before.
It seemed like things have changed this time! Out of everyone present, Li Yun was the most shocked!
"Qiao Qiao, I saw you write the letters. You said you were bored in cla.s.s, so you were writing love letters for fun. Did you forget that!?" Li Yun said and tried to hint at Ye Qiao. She thought Ye Qiao was still as dumb as she used to be!
"Li Yun, I did not write those letters. You wrote it yourself! Are you trying to blame me?! I've always treated you as a good friend; how can you do this to me?!" Ye Qiao said angrily.
Hearing Ye Qiao's words made Li Yun feel taken aback. Did Ye Qiao really become smarter?!
"She even frames her best friend!" A girl said in disdain.
"Yeah, what a b.i.t.c.h!"
"Qiao Qiao, why... why are you doing this to me? You wrote those two letters... I had received their letters, but I told you that we're in high school and academics are more important, so I won't date them or even bother to reply. Then, you said you would reply on my behalf just to play with them!" Li Yun's eyes were red, and her voice was raspy.
For now, all she could think of was getting Xichuan to help her. She was confident that he would help her since she knew his secret; he would not dare disobey her!
What a good liar Li Yun was! Even in this tight situation, she would not admit it!
"Li Yun, there's no point in arguing anymore. Your letters are on the board! Why don't we compare them with your handwriting? That way, we can tell who really wrote the letters." Ye Qiao said loudly while looking at Li Yun, who was shaking her head in tears.
"There is no need to compare the handwriting!" Suddenly, a slender boy walked out from the crowd.
Wasn't that the student council member from their cla.s.s? He had the best grades and was the most honest and quiet boy. He was holding a pink envelope.
"Li Yun, you handed this to me yourself. Do you still remember? I have to clarify that I have never written a love letter to her before!" The honest boy said loudly.
