When James opened his eyes, the immersion pod already retracting the gel within, releasing his connection to the world, he couldn't help but yawn. An action, of course, which then shot immense pain through his body, a very rude reminder of his extremely bruised jaw. That pain caused him to jerk upright out of the pod, the rapid movement then doing little to alleviate the pain and causing his head to throb slightly as well. Right, mild concussion and bruised jaw. James immediately wished he was back in immersion.
Looking around slowly, James let his eyes adjust to the room for a moment, as the pain faded away. He knew it was 7am without having to check, as that was the standard time for immersion to end. The only reason he had ended immersion at 6am the day before, was from Xander's forceful boot of him. Which hadn't really cost him all that much, so he was alright with it.
Gingerly, James got himself out of his pod, figuring perhaps a hot shower and a few pain killers might be what he needed to really start the day. Of course, the grumbling of his stomach reminded him that he probably needed to eat something before he took those pills. Pain killers on an empty stomach generally didn't go well. And James did not want to be throwing up with his jaw as it was. Well, to be fair, throwing up generally wasn't on the agenda.
James started to smile at the thought, before stopping, his jaw starting to remind him of his folly. Seriously, this injury was going to be such a…pain. Ha…ouch. Deciding it would be unwise to continue that punny train of thought, James got out of his pod and headed to the shower, deciding to take a nice warm shower to wake up, and sooth his jaw.

Once his shower was completed, James put on his clothes for the day, a simple pair of jeans and a simple graphic t-shirt of one of his favorite anime, Steampunk Ninja. On it, the main character stood, surrounded by a horde of zombie like monsters known as abominations. The main character, a ninja with a steampunk styled robotic arm, had lightning arcing all around her, as she prepared to take on all the enemies at once. That fight had been epic.
Finally, clothed, James grabbed his AR gla.s.ses and ear piece, and began walking into the kitchen as he put them on. He couldn't waste too much time this morning, since he did have- A blinking message bubble with the number 2 beside it caught his attention, pulling him from his thoughts. As he clicked on it, he saw he had two separate messages. One from Z, and one from Rue.
"What's Z want?" James mumbled past his bruised Jaw, the slight action still causing pain to scream from the injury. Of course, he would need to work his jaw slowly through the day, in order to help reduce the swelling. Ugh. He clicked on the message, wondering if Z was going to bring him another pain patch or two or four or…. At least one would be nice…

First off, I'm betting your jaw is still killing you today? Sorry in advance, I can't give ya any more pain patches man. Those things can be addicting, don't need ya going all Zydrate on me after all. Ha. Any ways, first off, good news for you, I spoke with your parents, and the principle, and you've been cleared to stay home the rest of the week to get better. Obviously, with your concussion, please let me know if you have any strange symptoms, and I will head on over there instantly. You seem like a bright kid; I want to keep it that way.
Second, during that talk, I was informed that Dwight, upon further review, has been expelled from the school. Because of his age, his attack on you is being cla.s.sified as an a.s.sault. Your parents are pressing charges against him, so it is likely he will be going away for a bit. From someone who grew up with bullies, I figured you might take heart at hearing this news. It's always a relief to see bullies actually receive justice for once.
Any who, like I said, let me know if you need anything. I told your parents I would keep an eye on you, so that they could focus on their work. Whatever it is they are doing; I get the feeling it is rather important. But it's obvious they care for you.
So yeah, hope all is well with you, and like I said, reach out if you need anything
~Z
P.S. Did you take part in the Great d.i.c.kening?????? That thing sounded AWESOME!!!!
James stared at the message from Z, rereading it a few times, unable to comprehend at first what he was seeing. Not only did he get to stay home from school for the next two days, before the weekend, but now he would never have to deal with Dwight again. Seriously, that was awesome news. A part of him did feel slightly bad for Dwight, as that idiot had just ensured his life was ruined, but hey, actions have consequences. It also meant that once the case concluded on Dwight, if the bully did go to jail, James wouldn't see him online. That was one of the biggest things about incarceration, there was 0 immersion. That fact had actually seen crime rates go down over the years, because of how great of an escape immersion was, the fear of losing it was a strong tool to dissuade people from breaking the laws. That and of course, psychologically, the freedom people had while immersed, would generally allow them to handle what ever vices they had, and kept them tame in the real world. It was messed up, but it generally worked.
Pushing that thought from his mind, James reread the final part of Z's message. What exactly was he referring to? Before he sent Z a message back, James closed it out. He may be curious about the Great d.i.c.kening, but he was even more curious about what Rue had to say.

Go check out the forums lol. Seriously, this is freaking great.

Also, remember to eat, so I don't have to deal with hangry Glyax! Probably something better than Soylent Blue too, I hear that stuff tastes like dead people. Bleh. Might I recommend hot chocolate? A little baileys added in will help with the pain as well.
Also, Also, you should watch an old anime called No Game No Life. Trust me, I found it while I was searching for information on BLANK.
Alright. So now, James had new questions, but, thanks to Z, he at least had the whole day to solve them. First, he figured he would go check out the forums, to see what the h.e.l.l Rue was talking about. After that, James would message Z about the Great d.i.c.kening, and then, he supposed he would put off watching Supernatural, to check out No Game No Life, whatever that was. Because if it had something he could use against BLANK, well, then he was going to watch it. Anything and everything would help, after all.
"Alright, let's see what the forums have for us today." He leaned back in the chair he was sitting in, put his hands in place to summon his keyboard, and looked up, his AR gla.s.ses seeming to project a ma.s.sive computer screen in front of him. Desktop mode was awesome. He moved his digital mouse to his saved tabs and pulled up the forums for DCO. He had made a bookmark directly to the DCO forums for his town.
"Guess I don't have to message Z." James chuckled slightly, wincing as he moved to select the very first threat on the forum.
The Great d.i.c.kening *Edited to update the name, because Great d.i.c.kening is so much better than Fowl Feathered Ends*
