Chapter 407: Explained
However, as Yang Nian glanced at everyone’s table yet again, he couldn’t help but see how complicated the situation they were all in. He pursed his lips and brought his gaze back to the entire cla.s.s.
“If I’m not mistaken, the version everyone using now is the latest version. And your review materials have exceeded 44 copies. Do you mind if I ask where you got it?”
It was impossible for all the review materials to be in one cla.s.sroom.
Even if there was a small chance that all 44 copies had been gathered by this cla.s.s, how could there be more than 44 copies in their hands right now? His frown deepened.
What was going on?
!!Who had given them these review materials?
This was very suspicious indeed.
Suddenly, Yan Wei barked out a laugh. “Could it be that my good-for-nothing cousin gave it to you?” Her eyes were bright with glee and contempt.
As soon as she said this, Yang Nian tilted her head.
“It seems that I’ve forgotten to introduce myself,” she started, glancing at their confused faces. “I am Yan Wei, Yan Yu’s cousin.”
“He left our school and enrolled here. Given his abilities, or lack of, he should’ve been placed here, should he not?”
“Yan Wei,” Yang Nian snapped. A trace of displeasure flashed across his eyes as he raised his hand to stop her from running her mouth. But it was already too late.
Everyone had heard it.
The people from Cla.s.s 20 couldn’t believe what they were hearing. They shared glances, their jaws dropped and their eyes wide. They didn’t know about this!
Who would’ve thought that Yan Yu would actually be a student from International Middle School?
If No. 1 High School was filled with the top students of only City A, then International Middle School was said to be filled with the top students of the entire province!
The school’s represented by the most elite students in the region.
They had initially thought that Yan Wei looked familiar, but they just brushed it off. They didn’t really think that she’d be related to anybody they know.
However, upon a closer look, they realize just why she looked so familiar.
If Yan Yu was from International Middle School, then that meant the other people, including Lu Mingand the others, were also from…
Everyone paused.
They didn’t expect that the group of underachievers were once geniuses!
They just couldn’t believe it!
But what was Yan Wei trying to say?
If they had already enrolled in the international school, why would they give up all of the prestige to enroll in this school? What happened that made him transfer?
Seeing the confusion in their eyes, she raised her eyebrows. “Didn’t Yan Yu tell you where he previously studied?”
The corners of her mouth twitched. “Then again, why would he? How could they even have the pride to say that they once had been a student of a great—”
“Weiwei, just get to the point,” Yang Nianstated.
A part of him believed that Yan Yu was responsible for these review materials.
If that were the case, then he’d have to take personal responsibility for his actions.
“I won’t be saying anything else about him,” Yan Wei said with a shrug. “I just wanted to know where you got all these review materials. How were you able to obtain them?”
Yang Nian quickly added, “We aren’t planning on turning this into a bigger matter. It’s just that, we have to comply with the rules and regulations set by our school.”
If they were secretly brought or plagiarized, then they’d have to report it to the school and wait for them to handle it.
Xi Yan pursed her lips nervously.
She knew that the review materials from the international school were rare, but she didn’t know that there were only a couple of official copies circulating around the country.
However, she didn’t believe that her students would deliberately buy the photocopied or reprinted versions of the review materials.
Perhaps, they had simply been deceived.
However, how was she going to explain that?
“Teacher Xi, I’m sure you know how strict our school is regarding the private distribution of our review materials and test papers, right?” Yan Wei c.o.c.ked up her eyebrow. “This is a very serious matter that requires your explanation.”
