The Kings 35 The Flower Greenhouse

"Kyaaaa!" He screamed, letting out a high pitch sound.

Immediately, I covered my ears to protect myself from going deaf.

"I-it's you, Anong." He exhaled out in relief. He was glad the person who found him was his little sister. Although, it would have been better if she did not sneak up on him. "Why would you scare me?"

I didn't mean to scare him. I searched for him everywhere in the house. From his room to the kitchen, and even the storage rooms. Anywhere that can hide a person. The last place I didn't search yet was here in the greenhouse. It was almost a five-minute walk from the house. It's incredible how far he ran to avoid talking about blind dates.

Wouldn't it have been easier to drive away?

My brother quickly put his phone that almost fell out of his hand into his pocket.

I smirked mischievously, "Hmmm... I wonder what you were doing out here to not hear me walk in. You know, hint hint."

My second brother stood up and gently smacked me on the head, "What kind of naughty thoughts are going through that head of yours!"

I let out a small yelp, "What are you talking about? I was just hinting that maybe you were looking for a new place to temporarily shelter yourself. You know, to avoid talking about blind dates with mom and dad."

My second brother became speechless realizing he was wrong and maybe a slip of tongue.

I covered my mouth with one hand and gasped, "What were you thinking of! Ahhh! So that's what you were doing all the way out here. Ewww."

"Y-you! Forget it." My second brother hung his head in defeat. Then lifted up his head realizing it was my fault he needed a new place for the time being. "Why did you have to mention 'blind date' when I walked in? Better yet, why would you even say those forbidden curse words!"

My brother was right. Those were curse words between him, me, and Tang Liang.

"It was for Liang," I confessed, tossing the blame on him. It wasn't a lie either. I mean I wasn't planning to help Tang Liang in the first place. The last thing I wanted to do when visiting my parents was discussing a blind date.

"Poor Liang... Wait, who cares. We need to save ourselves first before him! I'll be tied down before the two of you." My second brother started panicking, "Should I run away to oldest brother? No! More like I'll be walking down the aisle thanks to him."

Why does this sound so similar to what Tang Liang had said?

I sat down next to him on the white iron benched. Sitting here reminds me of Mu Yi. Whenever Mu Yi rejected me in the past, this place was an emotional recovery for me. This place was also where I can cry my heart out without no one hearing me.

Every time I finished crying, the flowers here brought me happiness. Flowers are beautiful, colorful, and unique. Sigh, I have a love and hate for this greenhouse. That's why I didn't bother looking for my second brother here first.

You could say this place was what inspired me to become a fashion designer. Then I created the fashion brand New Image when I cut of my feelings for Mu Yi. The name says it all, a new me. I wanted to get rid of everything that reminded me of him.

I also hoped my designs can allow one to change themselves for the better. A person outfit speaks louder than words, it represent how they are feeling. Happy, sad, tired, s.e.xy, and etc.

I looked at my second brother who was busy playing game on his phone, "By the way, why are you back from the office so early? Playing hooky?"

"What! Me? Never! I'm a diligent slave-worker."

Pft, who was he fooling. I knew him much better than anyone else. I was a lot closer to my second brother compare to my other brothers.

"I wonder what oldest brother comments are if I call him." I pretended to dial my first brother phone number.

"Hey, why are you trying to sell me out." My second brother whined, s.n.a.t.c.hing my phone out of my hand.

Why do I feel that lately people has been s.n.a.t.c.hing my phone out of my hands without permission? Honestly, my second brother was the easiest one to tease out of all my brothers.

"I miss this and you," I sighed, playing with the purple garden rose. I noticed I have been sighing more than usual. I could feel this was just the beginning.

"Me too." He smiled and patted her head the way he used to in the past. He was happy Anong decided to return. Ever since she left, all of them always knew the family was incomplete without her. Now, their family is completed again. "I wish I can announce to the entire world you're my cute baby sister!"

"Soon..." I mumbled under my breath.

"What?" He thought he heard Anong say something.

"Mmm?" I tilted my head to the right.

Maybe he was hearing things... Talk about hearing things, he couldn't believe his own two feet took him all the way to the greenhouse.

"Anong, w-we should leave this place immediately!" His face became ashen and stood up beckoning her to hurry up.
