The Kings 31 Guardian Mystical Creatures

"Let you go?" The man who was pursuing the injured man chuckled. He was dressed in black with a red fox mask covering his eyes and forehead. "I don't ever recall letting go any of my targets."

"I'll tell you anything if you let me go!" The injured man thought he could buy his life with the information he possessed. He wasn't sure what the man in the red fox mask wanted from him. Still, there got to be a reason why he is being chased.

"Do you realize how long it took me to track you down? Actually, not really. So now I should just let you go?" The red fox mask man walked towards the injured man nonchalantly, holding a gun with his right hand. "I'm sure I have more information on you than you do on me."

The injured man kowtowed on the ground realizing his information will not buy him his life. The only thing left he can do is beg for his life until the very end. He rather let go of his dignity than die. "Please, I'm begging you! I'll do whatever you want! I'll tell you anything you want to know!"

The man in the red mask stopped in his track, crossed his arms and tapped his foot. The injured man breathed out in relief that the man in the red mask was rethinking his decision.

"What do I want? What do I want..." The man in the red mask tilted his head slightly. "I know! How to kill you in the most heinous way."

When the injured man realized the man in the red mask was just teasing him, he blurted out, "I don't even know you!"

"Huh?" The man in the red fox mask squatted down and patted his gun twice on the injured man's face. "I thought you were looking for me?"

Looking for him? Not possible, the only people he was looking for was... The injured man had his eyes wide open, when he came in closer contact with the mask. "Y-you're..."

The injured man gasped without realizing he was shuddering uncontrollably. He couldn't believe how stupid he was this whole time. Why did he not noticed it! It should have been so obvious with the red fox mask itself. The red mask had white outline gardenia flowers designed on it. At a close range, he could now see the letter K engraved on the mask.

"You're Zhuque, the one who wears the red fox mask..." The injured man hands begin trembling, forgetting about the pain in his legs. His fear for the man was much greater than his b.l.o.o.d.y legs. "O-o-one..."

Zhuque grabbed the injured man's hair to lift his face to face him, "Ahhh~, so you have heard of me. Say it clearly, who am I?"

It was impossible to not know Zhuque the one who wears the red fox mask. The injured man winced from the pain, "Y-you're one of the leaders of The Kings!"

"Yeaaaah~. Congrats, you got it right!" Zhuque smiled before landing a punch on the injured man's face. "Didn't you cause a ruckus in Country Z to look for us?"

"I-I..." The injured man was having a hard time talking after that one punch.

Yes, he was the one leaving those marks behind to make it look like The Kings were the one doing all the killings. He thought he had covered all his tracks so it wouldn't be traced back to him. What surprised him the most was the leaders of The Kings. Who knew that one of the leaders of The King will come after him himself.

When he was on his killing spree trying to get information from those who had bits and pieces about The Kings. He was able to confirm that there really was more than one leader. Furthermore, they all wear different color fox masks. However, wearing the fox masks was information everyone in the underworld already knows.

The only problem was that no one has seen their face behind the mask or know their real name. The name Zhuque was not the man in the red fox mask real name. They have named themselves after the Chinese guardian mystical creatures. Zhuque, the vermilion bird of the south. Qinglong, the azure dragon of the east. Baihu, the white tiger of the west. Xuanwu, the black tortoise of the north. Last, but not least, Huanglong, the yellow dragon of the center.

"Zhuque, can you hurry it up?" A low soothing voice brought the injured man back to reality. It was coming from a man standing by the warehouse doors. He had on a golden fox mask with black outline marigold flowers designed on it. "Let's wrap this up already."

"Huanglong?" Zhuque turned around, "I tried, but he kept begging me~. So I am giving him a few more minutes to be alive."

Huanglong shook his head. "Okay. Just hurry before Xuanwu come. She is about to come in here to finish the job... And you."

"That annoying brat." Zhuque turned back around to point the gun at the injured man. "Always so impatient. Makes me miss Baihu~."

"P-please..." The man put his hands together to beg Zhuque. Never in his life could he ever imagine to meet two leaders from The Kings together. It was rumored each leader tends to work separately, and only come together when they want to f.u.c.k s.h.i.t up.

"Mmm, good job waking up the sleeping monsters," Zhuque yawned. Then a loud 'bang' ranged throughout the warehouse. "Tch. All his nasty blood is on my clothes."

"Hmph, should've thought of that before killing him at a close range." A pet.i.te woman chide, she had on a black fox mask with silver outline hydrangea flowers. She leaned her shoulders against the warehouse doors.

Zhuque rolled his eyes, "Did I ask for your advice, Xuanwu?"

"Come clean up this mess." Xuanwu ignored him. Instead, she made an order to those standing behind her.

Right away, a few slender men dressed in black with plain black fox mask did as they were told. It took less than ten minutes to make the place spotless. Not a speck of blood can be found.
