"You hide your complexion with light magic?" Brandish asked.

"Yes," Haru nodded and asked, "Is it alright for me to enter this place?"

"It's alright. There isn't anyone who is going to report or is going to come to me just to let my butler enter the palace," Brandish said with a smug expression.

Haru knew her personality quite well and couldn't help but say, "Brandish-sama. You're one of the members of Spriggan 12, why don't you try to act like one?" He was acting as a strict butler and needed to say this even though he knew that it was useless.

"That's because I am one of the members of Spriggan 12 and I can do whatever I want," Brandish said and yawned. She wanted to say something but someone suddenly interrupted them.

"Oh, Invel. Did you see Larcade?" Brandish asked.

"No, did you need something from him?" Invel was a bit surprised for her to ask about Larcade since usually, people tended to avoid him.

"I am sorry for her rudeness," Haru apologized.

"I am sorry for the late introduction. My name is Kasugano Haruka. I am working as her butler now," Haru said while giving him a gentlemanly bowing.

Invel nodded, "I am not sure, but it's great there is someone who is trying to take care of that troublesome woman."

"Yes, that's true," Haru had to agree that Brandish was troublesome.

"Yes, please wait for a while," Haru answered and turned toward Invel, "Then, please excuse me, Invel-sama. I have to tend to my master now." He bowed once again and walked toward her.

"What are you talking to him?" Brandish asked.

"I am just greeting him since I am your butler," Haru said.

"You don't need to do that! You only need to serve me, you don't need to think about other people," Brandish said.

Invel looked at both of their interactions and adjusted his gla.s.ses, "Ho?" He was quite interested and remembered the report that he had gotten about her mission two days ago.

Invel was speechless but turned toward her.

"Tell Larcade to come to the castle! I need him to help me with something!" Brandish said and walked away with Haru.

'Larcade?' Invel tilted his head but he decided to call Larcade since he was a bit curious. He was the emperor's chief of staff and consul so it was quite easy for him to contact Larcade with a communication device that had been developed by Wall Eehto.

"Larcade, can you come to the castle? Brandish seems to ask you about something."

"Brandish? Oh, tell her I will be back in a few months."

Haru followed her from behind and asked, "Where are we going?"

"We're going to meet grandpa," Brandish answered.

"Grandpa?" Haru thought that the first member of Spriggan 12 might be able to help him.

"Yeah, he is powerful. I am sure that he has a way to help you," Brandish said.

"Thank you," Haru said with sincere expression.

August was the general and strongest male member of the Alvarez Empire's Spriggan 12, the protection guard of Emperor Spriggan. He was known as the "Wizard King" for his mastery of countless Magics from all around the world and "Disaster" for his matchless strength.

August is a relatively tall, fair-skinned, quite well-toned old man with blackish eyes and roughly shoulder-length, wavy, grayish-white white hair, with the majority of his bangs swept leftward.

August was staying in the garden of the castle while reading a book. It was quite a calm afternoon until he heard a familiar voice.

August didn't need to guess who had called him that. He turned and sighed, "I am not your grandpa."

"It's okay since I have thought of you as a grandpa," Brandish smiled at him.

August noticed at him and also noticed his illusion magic, "Who is he?"

"He is Haru. My butler," Brandish said while patting her chest.

"My name is Kasugano Haruka. I am working as her butler," Haru said while bowing.

August looked at him and said, "Why don't you take off your illusion magic?"

'As expected of the Wizard King', Haru understood that it would be very hard to beat him with his power. He nodded and erased his illusion magic showing his dark circles under his eyes and tired expression. He really felt that he needed to lay on a woman as soon as possible.

"Ohhh...." August nodded.

"What's wrong?" Brandish asked curiously.

Haru looked at him and asked, "I have heard that is a similar magician who has used this magic in this country. Is there a way to get rid of the side effects of this magic?" He was a bit desperate and asked, "Please help me."
