Chapter 22: Chance

"I'm home," Haru entered his house and saw someone else's shoes there. He knew who it was since he was very familiar with these shoes. He entered the house and saw a very beautiful girl with a very thin presence. He knew that this girl was only his little sister's friend.

"Kato, you're here?" Haru asked.

"Yes, Haru," Kato nodded.

"Do you want an ice cream?" Haru asked and showed her the plastic bag.

"Thank you," Kato nodded.

Haru took an ice cream and gave it to her.

"Haagen Dazs?" Kato was a bit surprised but she didn't change her expression.

"Hmm, you don't like it?" Haru asked.

Kato shook her head, "No, it is just a bit expensive right?"

"You don't need to worry that much, where is Sora?" Haru asked.

"She is in the toilet now," Kato said.

"Hmm, what are you doing here?" Haru asked.

"I'm going to study with Sora," Kato said.

Haru looked at her who was eating the ice cream. He thought this girl was a ninja or a.s.sa.s.sin when he met her for the first time.

"Did you think something was rude about me?" Kato asked.

Haru nodded, "Yes, how did you know?" He knew that she wouldn't get mad no matter what and talked with her was really relaxing to him.

"You're not gonna deny it?" Kato had a helpless expression.

"No, I think we need to solve this problem or else you can only become a ninja or a.s.sa.s.sin in the future," Haru said.

"Haru, did you bully her again?" Sora suddenly came and said.

"No, I'm just talking to each other right, Kato?" Haru said.

"Well, he just said that I can only become a ninja or a.s.sa.s.sin in the future," Kato said while eating ice cream. She didn't even look mad or anything and just there eating ice cream.

"You should get angry at him!!!" Sora said to her.

"Is it okay, he didn't mean harm right?" Kato asked.

"Hmm, it has just been a while since I met you, Kato, and somehow I miss you," Haru said.

Sora was annoyed and pulled his ear, "Don't bother our study, hurry up and go away!!"

"Alright, don't pull my ear!!" Haru said. He shook his head and said, "That's right, aunt will come in two days."

"Eh? Why?" Sora was surprised.

"Did you forget that I'm going to open a cafe? I have bought a house and I need her to become the guarantor," Haru said.

"Hmm," Sora was a bit uncomfortable since she didn't really like her aunt.

"I will go back then, I won't bother your study," Haru said while waving his hand. He wanted to search for information about the older sister of those ghosts.

Sora shook her head and looked at Kato, "Megumi, don't listen to his nonsense, let's study."

Kato looked at her and asked, "Is Haru going to open a cafe?" She was a bit curious since both of them had talked earlier.

Megumi Kato is the only friend of Sora Kasugano. She has short, straight chestnut-brown hair that reaches her shoulders, and dark brown eyes.

Sora had a hard time socializing with people around her and she was different from her brother but she found someone that she was comfortable with.

That person is Kato Megumi.

Sora didn't know why but this girl had very little presence even though she was very beautiful. But even though Kato was her friend she wouldn't allow her brother to date her.

Sora nodded at her question, "Yeah, he wants to make a maid cafe."

"Maid cafe? What is that?" Kato looked quite curious.

"Hmm, it is a cafe where you will be served by a cute girl who is dressing in a maid outfit," Sora answered.

"Hmm, interesting," Kato nodded.

Sora looked weirdly at her friend and said, "Anyway, let's study, I want to enter that high school no matter what with him."

Kato looked at her friend and thought this girl still hadn't cured her brother complex. She knew that her love for her older brother was a bit too much than a normal sibling but she decided to not talk about it. She knew there were some circ.u.mstances and it wasn't her place to say anything and she didn't really think it was bad either.

Kato had always been curious about love but no one had ever caught her attention. She didn't want a confession, lovers, or anything. She only wanted a chance to fall in love with someone that could cause her to say.

'ah, so I could fall in love just like that...'

Kato had always wanted those simple and casual words but no one noticed her. Everyone ignored her and only those two siblings were the ones who reached her.

"Hey, Kato, do you not understand something? Your pen is stopping," Sora said.

"Hmm, I'm thinking about this problem," Kato said.

"Hmm, do you need my help?" Sora asked.

"No, it is okay, I think I know the answer," Kato and while answering the answer. She knew that something was starting to change but she wasn't sure whether this change was bad or good. She decided to continue her study since she knew it was pretty much useless overthinking something.

Haru sat down and opened his laptop, "Yuri Nakamura." He opened a search machine to search for this name. He was wondering whether he had heard this name but he thought it was probably from the news that he had seen before.
