Chapter 1552 Forcefully Exiting The Forbidden Zone
Alice looked at the Seelie, unsure of what its intention was, but sensing how easy the essence was spreading inside her body, she knew it meant to help her absorb this essence easier than she initially would.
She calmed down and focused on absorbing the essence from the Lightning Seelie. As she was absorbing it, she could feel the increase in her aura and strength.
'I'll break through before I completely absorb it. I need to leave this place before that happens.'
She absolutely can not attempt breaking through to a major realm in this place. It was okay for just a random break through to the next stage, but since it was the Sovereign Plane, she would draw too much attention. She wasn't concerned about the attention she would draw, what she was scared about was that there's a good chance she might get sucked into a spatial tear in this place. She heard about someone breaking through from the Overlord Plane to the Sage Plane that was sucked into such spatial tears.
As much as she wanted to break through, she didn't dare to take such a risk. This place was too dangerous to break through.
With that thought in her head, she left the place she was hiding and rushed toward the exit. She knew she would encounter those people, so she continued to absorb the essence as she headed towards the exit. Her plan was simple, break through the moment she leaves this place. She didn't sense any Sovereign outside the forbidden zone. Even if there was a Sovereign, none of them would want to fight with someone they wouldn't gain anything from.
Until she got to the exit, she was very cautious as she moved. Even though she was trying to make sure she didn't break through while she was here, she also didn't want to be engaged in any form of battle. The second she starts fighting, her breakthrough would quicken which would mean that she would be forced to break through inside the forbidden zone.
She soon got to the exit, and just as she expected, the young man had already manned groups that blocked the exit. They knew she would try to leave, so the best thing to do was to stop her from leaving this place.
Alice looked at the scene before her, she knew her chances of forcing her way through were slim, but she still has the element of surprise with her. If she could shoot past them with her speed and arrive outside the exit, then she didn't mind stopping since she would be free to break through then.
And those guys wouldn't want to anger a Sovereign. She watched them, and after a.s.sessing the group, she found the weakest link and merged with her Seelie. The moment she merged with the Seelie, her aura spiked, but that was not the only thing.
'c.r.a.p!' She exclaimed internally. The speed at which she was absorbing the essence tripled.
At this rate, she would get to the very peak and break through within a few seconds.
She didn't waste any time and charged straight at the weak link in the group. Her figure was fully covered in lightning and ice. She didn't only do that, but she unleashed her fire and ice domain, attacking the second she got close.
She was very fast and soon got to the group. They sensed her and tried to attack, but her speed was on another level.
"Stop her, she's trying to escape!"
The young man at the Peak of the Venerable Plane yelled and his body, also covered in lightning, moved out. He sent out a claw made of lightning, trying to use it to slow Alice down.
Alice didn't care about getting struck by the attack, she forced her way through the attack, using her fire and ice domain to tear the claw apart.
The group of two Ninth stage Venerables used their formation to boost their strength to that of a Peak Venerable and they attacked.
Alice saw the attack and used an ice blade to cut through the attack, but the force of the attack as well as the lightning bolt sent by the young man at the Peak was too much for her and she was momentarily slowed down, but she didn't stop for even a quarter of a second.
The exit was right in front of her, and the impact of this attack didn't cause her any damage since she made an ice armor as a means of defense.
She continued charging forward while being bombarded from all sides.
The commotion inside alerted those who were outside waiting for someone to rob. They jumped out and saw Alice rushing out under the a.s.sault of so many people, they didn't need anyone to tell them that she had a great treasure that attracted these people's ire.
They too wanted to get this treasure, they blocked her path and attacked.
"f.u.c.k off!" Alice exploded with a terrifying attack that forced over five Peak Venerables back.
Her aura was already at the peak, she was about to break through. Her strength has naturally increased with this and she could rival even a Pseudo-sovereign at this rate, but that was not what she was interested in at the moment, she was about to break through, and she didn't want it to begin inside the forbidden zone.
This was a forbidden zone, she didn't want to get tainted by its essence.
Alice's explosive strength shocked the group that blocked her.
The young man at the Peak looked at her and his expression turned cold, he charged after her, attacking with lightning orbs.
"She's about to break through, don't let her leave this place!"
His words were meant for the guys who were standing at the exit. Once Alice leaves, she will definitely break through which would spell danger for all of them. The gap in strength between a Sovereign and a Peak Venerable was ma.s.sive.
Even with their superior numbers, Alice could basically wipe out over twenty Peak Venerables on her own which meant that they wouldn't be a threat to her any longer.
Everything was happening in a matter of seconds. Venerables were very fast and the fight happened very quickly. Alice saw those blocking her path and attacked them once again, forcing them back.
They defended themselves and tried to block her path. But there was no way she was going to allow it. She successfully forced them back, and just as she was about to break through, she took a step out of the forbidden zone.
The sky in the forbidden zone raged, and those inside felt their bodies go stiff from fright.
The aura coming from the sky was enough to kill all of them, even with their precious protections.
Alice, who was on the outside, heaved a sigh of relief when she saw this. She knew the reason for the roaring of the sky in the forbidden zone. If she didn't leave at the time she left, she would've been swallowed by it and would've most likely died from it.
Outside, the essence around the canyon started to gather around her. Rushing straight into her body. This time, she didn't try to slow down her absorption speed, rather, she boosted it. Whenever she was in this merged state, she noticed her absorption speed of essence was very fast.
The Lightning Seelie's essence in her body was slowly shrinking. In the blink of an eye, it was almost finished. What was around the size of an adults fist had already shrunk to the size of a fingernail.
The essence around surged into her body.
The young man at the Peak had regained himself from the initial fright and stared at Alice. He shook his head in disappointment, he knew the Seelie's essence was gone, and there was nothing he could do. Attacking Alice now was a foolish thought. It didn't even pa.s.s his head.
As long as Alice was already breaking through, attacking her will only make her want to kill them.
He sighed and looked at the group, "Let's go find something else. This is already finished."
He didn't want to watch as she broke through. There's still the part where they tried to stop her from leaving, that was the same as trying to kill her. He didn't know if she would want to take revenge, neither did he want to find out.
Without hesitation, he left with the group.
The group who were camping outside didn't hesitate as well, they knew that if they were in Alice's position, they would want to take revenge, so they too entered the forbidden zone and disappeared.
Alice was on guard since they were still present, but seeing them leave, she heaved a sigh of relief. She wouldn't break through instantly, so if these people attacked, although she has gotten stronger, there's a chance they might be able to seriously wound her. Of course it will not stop her breakthrough, but she would be injured even in the Sovereign Plane.
