Chapter 1544 Destroying More Hideouts
Klaus grew to fame some time ago when he entered the Sovereign Plane as the youngest person to ever become a Sovereign. No one knew when Grey entered the Sovereign Plane, nor was any news of it heard.
However, Klaus' breakthrough was known all around the Continent. Most people knew of it, and only those who were able to get any form of information around the Continent were oblivious to this news.
"You two?" The lady was stunned, she pointed at Grey and said, "So you're the person the Gnomes want dead."
"They can't kill me, no matter how hard they try." Grey commented.
"Naturally, he has me ensuring he's safe." Klaus inputed after Grey's words.
Grey didn't bother with Klaus' comment.
The lady looked at them and said, "They'll try to kill you whatever the cost."
"You've had more than one dealing with Necromancers." Grey looked at the lady.
"Yes. This is not my first encounter with them. I've helped them a few times. I'm not proud of it, but I had no choice." The lady said.
She tried escaping from the surveillance of the Gnomes and Necromancers, but no matter where she went, she was always tracked, and forced to do their will. The reason she's still only in the First stage of the Sovereign Plane was because she didn't think it was good to increase her cultivation stage. The higher her cultivation stage, the more use the Gnomes would have for her.
Only now did she understand that making that decision changed the course of her life. Had she been growing faster, she would've gone past the First stage of the Sovereign Plane by now.
During the time she was pregnant, she decided not to increase her cultivation stage any further. Her husband was killed in the process, but she knew it was for the benefit of her daughter. Agreeing to go with the cloaked lady was all with the thought that her daughter will be safe from the eyes of the Necromancers. They didn't say anything about killing her, so she felt she would be able to keep her daughter alive.
"They'll kill her after you're dead. Not just her, but everything you care about."
"They're not bad people, they just want to better live for their fellow World's people."
"You've been manipulated to such a level? Then there's no point in keeping you alive." Grey felt the lady wouldn't believe such things, but from the looks of things, she was already deep in their lies.
"I have two choices." Grey looked sat her, "One, either I kill you which means you automatically repays your debt, or you work for me."
The lady didn't expect Grey to drop such an offer. Without thinking about it, she accepted it without hesitation.
"Alright, can we leave now?" The lady asked.
"That's the thing, you'll have to always be under the control of a top Faction or Family."
"But…"
The Faction is still very much active. But individuals who had broken their prestige felt like Jr was best if Grey was killed.
"My Family will keep you safe." Grey said.
The lady wanted to oppose, but when she thought about the danger, she decided it was best to stay hidden by the Dawson Family. Besides, they will be able to hide her presence if things goes south.
"And my daughter?" She asked.
"She'll be left the roam the world. At least, you should believe she has the ability to take care of herself." Grey replied.
"I want to see her one last time before I leave."
Grey thought about the lady's words and nodded.
The young lady was brought into the room, and the duo didn't try to listen to what the lady was saying to the young lady. After a while, they young lady was nowhere to be seen.
"A war is coming, so be sure she's somewhere she can graw." Grey reminded the lady and then said, "Are you ready?"
The lady nodded, waiting to leave the area. She didn't want the young lady to return before she left.
Grey didn't waste any time and took her away. He didn't directly take her away, rather, he contacted his mother and she was the one who came to take her away.
This lady was very important so he didn't want to make any mistakes with her.
After the lady was taken away. He looked at Klaus and asked, "Should we head to the hideout and deal with these guys?"
"It's not like we have anything else we want to do." Klaus said.
The duo headed for the hideout they originally wanted to destroy, not caring about the well-being of the lady's daughter. From what the lady said, her daughter should be fine. And from the looks of things, she spoke with her so the young lady knew what to do.
The duo didn't waste any time and headed for the hideout they wanted to wipeout. This wasn't a hideout that was out of their control, so they could still deal with it.
Grey kept the man under his control there all this while, so while they were dealing with this issue, he was gathering more information, especially after getting the item from the cloaked lady that led to more hideouts.
In this region, they were seeing two more regions. They've wiped out the rest, but this two were located in places they didn't go to.
After destroying the place, they got a few more information about what the Gnomes had in mind. It was within their expectations. Since they had a few people like these, their plans was to bring most of them to the portals during times like these and fill them up with powerful Gnomes. If Grey didn't find out about this, there was no way humans would've been able to find out about this.
They tried to get more information about the other hideout, but they didn't find anything. It was almost as if there's no way to find out what's happening in the next hideout. He knew it was due to the low cultivation stage of the man he was using.
