A few hours before they were found by the s.p.a.ce Pirates...

A s.p.a.cecraft carrying pa.s.sengers was traveling to the Imperium Star as usual. Before reaching the Main Star, they would go from one Star to the next. Megan Sh.e.l.ley, who had just concluded his vacation and was getting ready to go back to school, was one of the pa.s.sengers on the Civilian s.p.a.ceship. Since the majority of the communication equipment needed to convey messages to other worlds was targeted and destroyed by the Black Ant Zerg Swarm, no one was able to spread the word about the unexpected invasion on Imperium Star.

Because of this, the students who left the Main Star were unaware of the invasion but nonetheless made preparations to return to the Imperium Star as scheduled. The most of them perished before they even reached the Imperium Star, and Megan Sh.e.l.ley was unlucky enough to be targeted by a s.p.a.ce pirate even before they reached the coordinates before the final s.p.a.ce jump to the Main Star.

The ship's announcement: [Ding. Dong. Ding... We are about to enter the last s.p.a.ce jump for the last destination. Please prepare for a bit of the shaking of the ship during the s.p.a.ce Jump.]

Megan Sh.e.l.ley recognized his belongings in one of the first-cla.s.s cabins on the s.p.a.cecraft since his family had given him a lot of trinkets to bring with him when he went back to school. His visit with the Sh.e.l.ley family went well, and despite the fact that he appeared a little awkward while there, they didn't say much to him. His ideas for the Sh.e.l.ley family were also completed.

After leaving the modest apartment with only two rooms, where the kitchen and bathroom were shared with other occupants and the s.p.a.ce was actually quite limited for their family, he purchased a new mansion and a substantial amount of land for the family. Also, he gave them the terminals he purchased for each member of the family as well as some upcoming presents. The Sh.e.l.ley Family initially expressed disbelief and refused to accept any of his gifts; it was only when he explained his line of work that they reluctantly agreed to take everything.

His time spent with the Sh.e.l.leys was wonderful. He would have preferred to remain at home had his vacation not come to an end. Finally, he was unable to comprehend why the original Megan Sh.e.l.ley felt ashamed of his family. Hard effort can earn money, but a loving family is something you're destined to have till the end. He was certainly not fortunate to have such a family since he spent his entire childhood in an orphanage. He therefore found it difficult to comprehend why the first Megan Sh.e.l.ley severed his relationship with his family.

After finishing his contact with his parents and going over his stuff, (Zane Lin) Megan Sh.e.l.ley, experienced a severe shake that caused him to fall to the bed. He unexpectedly had a horrible feeling about this happening, and as predicted, as soon as he peered through the windows, he spotted an unknown s.p.a.ceship and realized that they were the s.p.a.ce Pirates, the bandits of the galaxies.

"It seems this ship was eyed the whole time. Defeating the one that entered is easy but if those in mechas outside become desperate, the whole ship will be put in danger," mumbled Megan Sh.e.l.ley (Zane Lin). "There is no other choice but to coat the whole ship with Defensive Magic."

He sat on his bed and used the mana in his body, albeit the majority of it had been converted into qi, which has the same properties as mana thinking but is simpler to control because its source is the world and cosmos. He cast a defense spell that covered the entire ship covertly using wizardry. Yet it was also necessary to apprehend the bandits who had entered the apartment. He used a spell to make himself invisible and made a covert strategy to apprehend these s.p.a.ce pirates.

His door was violently kicked down by a few men who were casually clothed, had their faces covered, and had a pirate mark on their skin as soon as he and his possessions became invisible.

BAM!!

"RAISE YOUR HAND! WE ARE HERE TO TAKE AWAY YOUR BELONGINGS!!"

These pirates didn't expect to see anyone in the VIP room as they were told that a young student from Imperium Star was staying in this place.

"Do they need to lie? Where can they even run to? We are in s.p.a.ce for G.o.d's sake."

"Check the other rooms. Maybe it wasn't this room."

These pirates entered Megan Sh.e.l.ley's (Zane Lin) room unguarded. They opened the wardrobe in the room and rampaged through it. Unfortunately, it was empty and not even a piece of rug was found.

"s.h.i.t! How unlucky! There is really nothing in this room!"

All of a sudden, the terminal connected to their main ship contacted them unfortunately as if the signal was jammed they couldn't understand anything.

"This is group 4. This is group 4. What is happening outside, over!"

BANG!

"f.u.c.k! What the h.e.l.l man!? Why did you destroy our communicator?"

"Stupid! It wasn't me! Someone else is in this room with us!"

The team's communicator suddenly erupted. It was destroyed by Megan Sh.e.l.ley using his mental qi. A Mediator is the original owner of his body. He has greater power over Mind Energy than an Adjudicator. These pirates became aware that they were being played with as soon as his mental qi spread over the s.p.a.ce. Aside from them, there is another person in the s.p.a.ce.

But, a large white dove soared in their direction before they had a chance to respond, killing them. It is the Quantum Beast of Megan Sh.e.l.ley (Zane Lin), which mutated when he gained control of the former Megan Sh.e.l.ley's body. He uses his spells to murder the other pirates as well, and he doesn't briefly lose his invisibility until all the pirates in his room are dead.

"Three... I need to kill the rest of the pirates as well!"

The people on the Civilian s.p.a.ceship suddenly heard a loud explosion and a clash, which caused the civilian ship to tremble. When Megan Sh.e.l.ley (Zane Lin) gazed out the window, he noticed another ship. This obsidian-colored s.p.a.ce ship, particularly the black dragon insignia on it, seems somewhat familiar.

"Black Dragon. This is the Grand Marshal's Ship! Thank G.o.d someone can clean up the bandits outside. I should hurry and kill the rest who were inside this shop to prevent the hostage taking situation." Megan Sh.e.l.ley (Zane Lin) mumbled.

He once more cast an invisibility spell on himself and walked around the s.p.a.ceship after keeping all of his belongings in his s.p.a.ce b.u.t.ton. He cast a spell to locate the other pirates, then crept up on their backs and swiftly and mercilessly dispatched them. He had either killed or captured every pirate in less than 30 minutes. He is a.s.sisted in tying them up by some citizens who also inform them that they would be saved by the Grand Marshal's ship.

The s.p.a.ce conflict is still going on. (Zane Lin) Megan Sh.e.l.ley, remained in the hallway with the other Civilians to keep an eye on the arrested s.p.a.ce pirates.

A pirate suddenly said, "Keke~ your destination is the Main Star, Imperium Empire right? You had just wasted your time. That Star is currently being invaded by the Zerg Race made the rest in there is already dead!!"

"You're lying!!!"

The Imperium Star was the final stop for the majority of the people aboard this Civilian Ship. They reside there, along with their families. They are currently being informed of an invasion of the Imperium Star by these terrible s.p.a.ce Pirates. Despite their best efforts, they denied it. Only Megan Sh.e.l.ley (Zane Lin), one of the pa.s.sengers, scowled. He was aware that the Grand Marshal had accompanied Lord Yara home and that he wouldn't leave without Lord Yara.

But there were just three presences there when he checked on that black ship. The Grand Marshal is the first since he exudes the ship's strongest aura. He is also somewhat familiar with one of the other two. It's Nimbus von Gretel, a general from Planet Terra. As Lord Yara's aura is not present on that ship, he is certain that he is not with them. They really took a similar route, indicating that they also intended to get to the Imperium Star.

Megan Sh.e.l.ley's (Zane Lin) thoughts, 'Maybe something really happened in the Imperium Star.'

When he noticed that the fleet of the s.p.a.ce Pirates had fled, Megan Sh.e.l.ley (Zane Lin) lifted the spell he had cast around the ship. The Black s.p.a.ceship's crew entered their Civilian Ship through a door that their pilot had unlocked for them. Megan Sh.e.l.ley (Zane Lin), as antic.i.p.ated, saw nothing amiss. They were visited by General Nimbus and a handsome man who appeared to be close with him. The latter appears to be his pair and resembles General Nimbus in terms of a soldier.

General Nimbus spoke, "I would like to meet the pilot and officers of this ship. Do not enter the Imperial Star. There is a war going on there. The Zergs had invaded!"

This news came abruptly and some pa.s.sengers couldn't believe what they'd heard. Some reacted quite violently and were controlled by the General immediately.

"Calm down. There is news of survivors. We cannot bring you there and put you in danger. Turn back. We will do our best to kill the Zergs!" Lieutenant General Zephyr von Gretel stated.

Even after Lieutenant General Zephyr's address, just a small percentage of the populace had managed to do so. Unexpectedly, someone entered the room, and just his entry alone silenced the entire s.p.a.ce. The Grand Marshal is as stern as ever, especially considering that his wife isn't present.

"Go back. This is an order! Leave the rest to me!"

"Your Highness! Your Excellency! Wuwuwu~"

"Please... Please kill all those Zergs!"

"We believe you! Grand Marshal, we believe in you!"

The Grand Marshal keeps a deadpan face and nods his head before preparing to leave. "Go somewhere safe first. Once the war is over you can return."

The civilians in the s.p.a.ceship including the pilots and the officers in it kowtowed towards the Grand Marshal, leaving Megan Sh.e.l.ley who stood his ground a bit awkward.

General Nimbus recognized the child, "Child, aren't you a student of First Military Imperial School? You also should go home."

Megan Sh.e.l.ley (Zane Lin) was about to answer when the Grand Marshal suddenly said, "Zane Lin, you follow me."

  "Yes, Grand Marshal."

Before following the Grand Marshal out of the hall, Megan Sh.e.l.ley saluted General Nimbus and Lieutenant General Zephyr who were standing nearby. He readily followed because he was aware that the Grand Marshal could want to exploit his skill in the conflict. His professors and pals are still there, after all. He also wants to save them if they are still alive.

General Nimbus and Lieutenant General Zephyr returned to the Black s.p.a.ceship after giving the Civilian s.p.a.ceship Pilot a few more instructions and searched for the Grand Marshal. They readied their ship for a s.p.a.ce jump to their intended location after the Civilian Ship left. The Imperium Star.

Megan Sh.e.l.ley (Zane Lin) casted two spells to protect the pa.s.sengers before the Civilian s.p.a.cecraft departed. both a protection spell and an invisibility spell. This ship was able to reach the closest planet in three days, which is how long it can last. But, the black ship carrying the Grand Marshal and the others swiftly jumped into the s.p.a.ce Tunnel and s.p.a.ce travel. The Imperium Star should come into view once they have reached the end of the s.p.a.ce Tunnel.
