1132 17.59 Fourth Violet Star - The War
Back to Imperium Star...
Adjutant Kir von Giselle's ambush failed, therefore a barrier was built to keep the adversaries out of the Imperial Palace and the main city. The Emperor gave the order for all the survivors to shelter in the Main Palace where the major force is currently located because he knew that the enemies this time are different from the first wave. They couldn't, at the very least, allow the number of deaths that the human race had already experienced to rise again.
Dean Frey von Gregory was forced to float to the skies alongside Adjutant Kir von Giselle. He can only ride Kir's black hawk, as his quantum beast is a white snake, and that is what he does. They flew together as they looked up at the barrier above them. Their focus is primarily on the man in the red robe who is concealing his ident.i.ty by donning a mask.
"If that person feels like destroying the barrier, it won't last long." Dean Frey von Gregory commented.
Adjutant Kir von Giselle said, "Milord is on his way but he can't use the s.p.a.ce Tunnel as he had General Nimbus and Lieutenant General Zephyr with him. With their mortal souls, their ent.i.ty will be destroyed in the s.p.a.ce Rift. We can only hold them back until he returns."
"But would he..." Frey von Gregory glanced at the masked man beyond the barrier and didn't even need to complete his sentence for his lover to understand.
Adjutant Kir von Giselle responded, "Don't worry. He doesn't look interested in us. He might be here just to watch the fun or... He is waiting for someone to come over."
"You mean he is waiting for the Lord G.o.d?" Frey von Gregory asked.
His boyfriend shakes his head in agreement with what he says, but this just makes their predicament worse because it implies that the man with the mask is strong enough to compete with the Sovereign and that his strength is genuine. The man's ident.i.ty is unfortunately unknown, and even his appearance is concealed. They experienced a familiar but different feeling after seeing those pairs of obsidian and silver iris.
Dean Frey von Gregory said, "Even so how come there are too many Zerg Kings and Zerg Queens? Fighting them isn't much but there are too many mortals behind us."
"We can only leave them to our Contracted Sentient Plants." Adjutant Kir von Giselle said.
Their second contracted beings had no choice but to call them. An enormous Banyan Tree and a Marigold Fairy emerged at the call of two G.o.ds. Adjutant Kir von Giselle's Quantum World's banyan tree fully emerged and established itself in the middle of the city. Its status exceeded that of the Small Snow Lotus hidden in the pond of the Forbid Greenhouse residence at First Military Imperial Academy.
This Banyan Tree is a G.o.d level Sentient Being with a small amount of Divinity at their disposal. It complied with the order from its master and spread its branches to erect a barrier resembling a fence around the Main Palace. He left a few gaps for the mortals to pa.s.s through. On the other hand, Dean Frey von Gregory's called Marigold Flower Fairy also took root beneath the shade of the Banyan Tree and produced a sizable Golden-orange carpet of blooms that released a fragrant aroma that the bugs detested. It was sufficient to stop the Zergs on the land from arriving.
Very magical and gorgeous was the setting. In addition, two males who appear to be elves are standing next to one other on the ground and bowing to Dean Frey von Gregory and Adjutant Kir von Giselle. These are the Banyan Tree and Marigold Flower's humanoid forms.
"Masters, leave the protection of the mortals to us."
After leaving the greenhouse, Duke Claudius von Gretel, the Second Prince, Silvan von Rosegard, Jace Green von Imperlian, and the others saw this scene. Naturally, the Sentient Beings in the Greenhouse had also emerged to see the two holy presences—the Banyan Tree G.o.d and the Marigold Fairy G.o.d—that they had sensed and seen.
Claudius von Gretel, Duke, was astonished as well. He didn't antic.i.p.ate that the Grand Marshal's deputies, Adjutant Kir von Giselle and Dean Frey von Gregory, would agree to a contract with these two Heavenly Sentient Beings. It may be argued that he had only ever seen these particular Sentient Plants in the Edge Star, which is home to the Chrysalis Clan. The majority of Divine Sentient Beings reside there.
"How are they able to command a Divine Sentient Being!? Even my father and Dad are incapable of doing such a thing!?" Duke Claudius von Gretel exclaims in shock.
Silvan von Rosegard asked, "Y-You mean those two are a Tree G.o.d and a Flower G.o.d?!"
"Yes, they are Land G.o.ds. But I didn't expect them to sign a contract with a human before." Duke Claudius von Gretel replied.
Jace Green von Imperlian said, "M-Maybe Yara gave it to them."
"That is not possible. These Divine Sentient Beings choose their Masters. It wouldn't be surprising if they choose to sign with Yaya but this is the first time they signed with humans outside of the Chrysalis Clan." Duke Claudius von Gretel said.
The Second Prince understood the rationale behind the Imperial Palace's defense. The Imperial Palace served as the last citadel, where the majority of survivors from other areas had relocated, and the branches of the Banyan Tree acted as a thick wall to stop the Zerg Race's advance. He identified the ideal locations for the army's deployment and battle support.
Christopher Klein von Imperlian stated, "The situation is quite urgent. We need to command the military to take a position before the barrier breaks. Once the barrier is down those zergs beyond the barrier will all attack us!"
"Let's go back. Make all the necessary preparation and prepare for war!" Duke Claudius von Gretel said. He glances at the youngest prince, "Prince Jace should stay in the Forbidden Greenhouse. They would most likely need you to play the role of the middleman so those guys can provide help during the war. Tell them that the Empire is willing to provide a wider land where they can live after the war."
"I understand!" Jace Green von Imperlian said as he ran back to the Greenhouse. A few of his subordinates stayed with him while the rest of the survivors were moved to the Imperial Palace behind the Banyan Tree. They are tasked to give support at the rear.
Under the eyes of the man in a mask and the Zerg Race, the Human Race and Sentient plants worked together as one. The man called Chaos watches this scene with a smile and only when he sees them finish all the preparation that he finally speaks.
The voice of Chaos resounds the whole planet, "Have you finished your preparations? That's good. Continue to entertain me~"
He delicately touched the substantial barrier that none from the Zerg Race could dismantle while everyone watched. With a light tap from his finger, the spot where the tip of his finger had landed suddenly turned a little white, as if it had been frozen, and a crack began to spread from where he touched. The cracks grew larger and broader until the only sounds resonating throughout the land were those of something shattering.
Crackles~ Cracked. BANG!
Everyone watched in disbelief as the barrier was demolished by this man in a mask with just one finger. Finally, the emperor Cale Meijer von Imperlian and his minister realized the distinction between a human and a divine being. The mortals are identical to ants in the perspective of the G.o.ds. They can only endure helplessness and anguish repeatedly while we watch them struggle for their lives.
Chaos once again spoke, "Okay, the barrier is broken~. Mortals do your best to survive~"
KRRIEEKK! RIEEKKKKK!!!
"He destroyed a barrier from Vearth with such ease. He is not an ordinary G.o.d." Adjutant Kir mumbled.
The three groups of Zergs with Royal ranks gave the under their command bugs orders to attack. Adjutant Kir von Giselle and Dean Frey von Gregory made the first move to ambush the three Zerg Kings and three Zerg Queens after spotting the barrier broken. The mortals under them wouldn't have to suffer too much as long as they disturb their commands. Diverse zergs descended in waves from the sky, covering the earth and the heavens.
To combat these Zergs, the warriors pulled out their weapons and unleashed their quantum beast. To defeat their adversaries, they cooperated. The frail humans live in the Imperial Palace, which the Zergs were unable to fully approach. They had naturally retreated from that region since the powerful scent of the marigold flower made them queasy. Humans were able to prepare their weapons and effectively snipe a few huge Zergs in the sky because of this hesitation. The conflict between Humans and Zergs had re-emerged.
Chaos was observing the events that were taking place while he was somewhere in the skies. They had already seen his incredible strength when he shattered the barrier with a single finger, so n.o.body dared bring him into the conflict. He also casually observes their struggle and conflict, as if the deaths he is witnessing are merely a play for his amus.e.m.e.nt.
Chaos mumbled, "It's been a while since I've watched such a huge play. I wonder when the Main Characters will arrive~"
The human warriors rode in their mechas on the ground and in the air, driving through the army of bugs and killing in all directions. They occasionally lost the war because of the overwhelming number of adversaries. The warriors and their quantum creatures carry on fighting anyhow. They all enlisted in the war, regardless of their age. In the places no one can see, many deaths and victories are taking place.
Silvan von Rosegard and The Second Prince took the initiative and engaged in a survival battle. His bravery and power astounded many warriors. For this courageous guy, they would all sacrifice their lives. The Divine blessing they held was considerably stronger because they were the world's adored Heavenly Sons rather than Divine Sentient Beings like the Banyan Tree G.o.d or the Marigold Flower G.o.d. They were unstoppable by any Zerg.
Christopher Klein von Imperlian said, "Follow me. We will open a path to victory."
"Go. I will support you all I can." Silvan von Rosegard stated.
The Emperor and his ministers in the Imperial Palace had seen them leading a force of warriors and battling at the front to save those who were wounded. They truly desired to take part in the conflict, but the common people required the Emperor's presence in order to maintain their sanity. Because of this, Emperor Cale Meijer von Imperlian decided to remain at the palace.
A minister commented, "The Second Prince had always been talented and no one had expected him to step down one day."
"Maybe we saw things wrong. He didn't exist to cause chaos in the Imperial Throne like the Crown Prince. He is... A great leader that can protect this planet."
"This is also great. After the Monarchy is abolished, he would also have a chance to sit in the leadership position. Only the strongest and the person chosen by the people can lead the Imperium Star." Emperor Cale Meijer von Imperlian said. He sighed and added, "I am truly getting old. That I have to watch my children fight to protect the land while I can only stand here and support them from behind."
They have also witnessed innumerable sentient plants, flowers, and trees resisting the Zerg, led by Jace Green von Imperlian. They built a wall of vines and tree branches to provide a broader area that allowed the warriors to breathe and recover, and they surrounded the Imperial Palace with this wall. Plants and people collaborate and help one another. n.o.body would have seen this scene if the world had been tranquil.
