My Soul Will Find Yours 10 I'm Pretty Sure You Know What The Rubber Is For, Right?

For months I didn't get in touch with Tyler. I started my job and have adjusted easily to the new environment. I immersed myself in work, it became my lifeline.. The medicine that dulled the pain I was feeling. During those times, Tyler kept his end of the bargain and didn't try to make me change my mind.

By the fifth month I was ready to start anew with him. I sent him an SMS telling him to meet me at the resturant near my company for dinner. His reply was enthusiastic as ever. I once again felt nervous, it's been almost half a year since we last saw each other.. The last time I was with him, we almost had s.e.x but I blue-balled him in the end.

I arrived early, the reason being I wanted to be able to prepare myself for our 'reunion.' However, when I told the door greeter that I had a table for two reserved under my name, I was told that 'the young sir' was already waiting for me. The hostess then immediately ushered me to the reserved table. My heart was pounding, I didn't expect Tyler to be so early. Did he really have to be so excited!?

"Hinata," the man in a red dress shirt and black pants stood and walked towards me. He then grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the place before hurriedly telling the restaurant hostess that we were cancelling our reservation.

"Wait, where are you taking me?"

No answer.

"Charles, what are you doing?" I continued to ask. The only answer I got was an increase in the length of his strides and the p.r.o.nounced urgency of our exit. I was wearing four inch pumps, I struggled to match his pace. "Charles!" I called again. "Can you please stop and tell me what's going on!? Where is Tyler? Why were you at the restaurant?"

"Just wait, you'll find out soon enough," he sounded p.i.s.sed off.

"Okay, but could you please slow down?? I might twist and sprain my ankle!"

"No, we need to catch them in the act!"

"But my shoes--"

"G.o.d dammit, Hinata!" He suddenly stopped, placed one arm around my back and the other arm behind the bend of my knees. "Place your arms around my shoulders," he ordered.

"What, why??" I was so confused.

"Just do as I say!"

After doing what I was told, Charles princess-carried me to a nearby parking lot. We stopped at the back of a familiar blue SUV. He put me down and signaled me to keep quiet. He then crouched down, duck-walked to the left rear door, and motioned me to come. When I was finally crouched down next to him, I looked at him with questioning eyes.

"Listen," he mouthed the word.

I nodded then shifted all my attention to the sounds around me.

"Yes, deeper.. Deeper!" Came a woman's voice.

"You like that, huh?" It was a man this time. The voice was eerily familiar.

"Mmm.. Just like that. Yes. You're so good! Ahh!"

"d.a.m.n, Rach.e.l.le, you're so wet!"

A loud moan.

"I'm gonna pound you harder!"

A louder moan.

"I'm.. I'm coming again, Ty!"

The car shook, indicating just how 'energetic' the two people inside were. I covered my mouth with my hands in shock. I looked at Charles again as what was happening dawned on me. The blue SUV beside us is Tyler's and the two people inside were him and Rach.e.l.le. Sounds of ecstasy continued to emerge from the car.

Suddenly, the shaking and the moaning stopped. A few moments later, I heard Tyler speak.

"You'd better go. It's almost time for me to meet with Hinata."

"Don't wanna!" Rach.e.l.le replied, I could imagine her pouting as she uttered those words. "Why are you meeting up with her? Am I not enough?"

"Look, Rache, you're pretty and all but you know there's only s.e.x between us."

"But, Ty--"

"I still haven't forgiven you for what you did to me months ago. If it weren't for you, Nat and I wouldn't have to part. You're just someone I'm f.u.c.king, my heart will always belong to her."

"How dare you!"

Tyler laughed. "You should be thankful that I even give you some attention. Isn't that what you want?"

"No! This isn't enough! I want you, all of you!"

"That's never gonna happen. Are you done dressing up? I really need to clean my car."

"b.a.s.t.a.r.d!"

Tyler chuckled. Soon, the sound of the car door opening could be heard. Charles hurriedly pulled me away. Rach.e.l.le got out of the car and immediately froze.

"s.h.i.t!" She cussed. "Why are you both here!?"

Tyler rolled down the window to check what was up and gaped when he saw me and his cousin. He hurriedly got out of his car to run to me. When I saw that he intended to embrace me, I stepped back and glared at him.

"Don't you dare touch me with your filthy hands!"

"B-babe, what are you doing here?"

"I'd like to ask you the same thing!"

"I.. I was.."

"Having s.e.x in the car with your worst enemy," Charles interrupted, his eyes looking at me apologetically. "Cousin, didn't I tell you I won't tolerate your douchiness anymore?"

"And didn't I tell you to stay out of my business!?" Tyler snarled.

Charles snorted. "Hinata is also my friend. I can't just watch and pretend like I don't know what you've been doing these past few months with your other woman!"

"They are no longer together! How dare you make it aound like I'm a boyfriend-grabbing witch!" Rach.e.l.le never changed. She's still self-righteous as ever.

"Shut up, Rach.e.l.le!" Tyler roared.

"No, she's right. We are no longer together and we're never getting back together. Mr. Lorenzo, I hope you rot in h.e.l.l!" I turned and left.

I heard some commotion behind me but didn't care. I went back to the restaurant where my car was parked and drove home. I neither cried nor felt sad. Instead, I felt immense relief. I realized that my nervousness earlier wasn't because I was excited to see him. No. I was nervous because, subconciously, I knew I was committing a huge mistake by getting back with him.

"All these years I blamed myself for not being enough for you! Do you know how that feels? Do you know how many times I had to give myself pep talks just to get back on my feet again!? You wouldn't, would you!" I spat each word. "For the last time, Mr. Lorenzo, leave. Me. Alone!"

"Nat, please.. I can't marry Rach.e.l.le!"

I laughed. "You already proposed to her, right? Be a man and walk your talk!"

"I don't love her.. It's you that I love!" He suddenly knelt down before me. "I was only forced to propose to her because she's pregnant."

"Seriously? You knocked her up??" I guffawed. This was really funny to me. "What are you, a high schooler? I'm pretty sure you know what the rubber is for, right? We used those countless times when we were together!"

"I.."

"This no longer concerns me so I'll take my leave. However, let me warn you: if you ever try to come near me again I will not hesitate to call the police on you! Stay out of my life, Ty! I mean it!" I got in my car and drove off. Halfway through the journey, I saw a giant billboard with the current date and time. It was already almost eight o'clock and exactly a week later, I'd be in beautiful Kyoto. With that, my mood instantly lightened.
